Updating my review for Summer 2026:…read more We are camping at Kring Point with our adult children and, as is tradition, we get breakfast at the diner at least twice on our 2 week trip (always on rainy days). Today we visited Wolfe's, second time this trip, and were disappointed by the quality of the home fries...again. Both times we visited the home fries were burnt and literally dripping with grease. They looked like refried leftovers; chewy and flavorless with a big pile of burnt fry crumbs underneath - just yuck! The service at Wolfe's has always been friendly and the food is served quickly and in generous portions. And you certainly cannot beat the cabin-feel atmosphere! However, the menu lists breakfast entrees come with a side of toast. I ordered the eggs benedict and asked for wheat toast on side. On our bill I was charged $1.99 for the toast as "a side." When I pointed out to the waitress that breakfast entrees come with toast, according to the menu, she argued that since there is an English muffin in the entree, so it's not included. Call me petty, but either the menu is incorrect or one of us is not reading carefully. The $1.99 charge stayed (I didn't even bring up the terrible home fries!). Not sure when or why the change at Wolfe's. We used to really love this place, and have been coming for years. But after 2 bad experiences in 2 weeks, we will explore the many other diner options in the Alex Bay area.

The fries were good but they forgot to bring them out. They got busy and we didn't get much help to cash out. Overall, it was a decent place to eat/ it was a nice atmosphere and seemed clean. I believe they also serve lunch and dinner. This is in the middle of Downtown Alexandria Bay and right on the water. If you need the GF bread make sure to call and confirm they have it in stock before you come. I did make the call before coming and was glad I did. I ordered French toast and it came out on what looked like burger buns. It was still very good and tasty. I appreciated their ability to adapt but found it interesting they didn't mention this. My uncle sat at another table, at the same time, and asked for GF toast and was told there was no GF bread left. Just mentioning this because you might want to question all of this on the phone before you come if this would bother you. I had the GF French toast with Nutella drizzle and a side of bacon. It was tasty and a healthy portion. The Nutella was a nice touch. The bacon was a little thin for my liking, could have been a little crispier but there was a good amount for a side. My significant other agrees with my comment about the bacon. But he said the toast was very good and the deep fried home fries were pretty good. Overall a standard breakfasts Prices were reasonable and service was great. A good option for a quick breakfast if you are in the area. And many seats offer great views of the water.

Kiddo got the blueberry muffin that was so delicious - sugary every bite! He also tried a slice of the French toast which was eggy and perfect! I got the chicken tenders and fries and was pleased with the portion and price! Fries could have been a little less brown. I was insanely jealous of my husband's turkey club. It was HUGE and was so good! We would definitely return on our next trip to the Bay!

Thinking oh great is this place closed. Do we need to find another place. The shear panic. All the signs say open so we went in. What a quiet little "truck stop" diner. So conveniently located. Easy on easy off. Ashamed it wasn't busier. So please go here and support the flying spatula so it stays! First off there is a lot of choices. Everything sounded good. Kiddo got a blueberry muffin. It came hot and delicious. He also got a slice of French toast. Both very good. Wife got the chicken tendies and fries. (She panicked and wasn't ready so she ordered the old reliable) As for me I ordered the turkey club and it was hands down top turkey club I've ever had. This skyscraper was massive. We bother ordered the homemade fries and they were meah. Better with some more salt. All in all I think we'll stop every year we're in town and will recommend to everyone headed that way.
