The last one was left on my porch with a plastic bag over it, and as you can see in the picture, the rose was broken. Upon bringing them in, I'm removing the plastic. I noticed a few of the roses were actually already decomposing and dropping pedals. The arrangement the time before arrived with already browning tips on the white roses....and this is definitely unacceptable considering each arrangement cost $200. Needless to say, they didn't even make it a week before they went in the trash, even with changing the water and trimming the stems along with plant food. I can purchase a $10 bouquet at Whole Foods and have it last three weeks. Therefore, I do not recommend Griffin's at all! Not sure if they purchased their reviews or not, but they don't seem accurate.

Since I don't live in the area, but grew up in Westerville, I'll occasionally send flowers to family, and most particularly, my mother! I suppose I could just order from a generic website but I like to support local businesses. I've always used Westerville Florist. They have always been eager to help, make suggestions, and accommodate delivery timeframes. They will always have my business.

I placed my order online as it was my only option. And completed my intended order. The next morning I received a call and text informing me that they did not have the violet available. I used the florist specifically bc they had the violet "available" and I wanted to use a local florist. I understand that flowers can be out of stock, this is why I called multiple times before placing my online order. They canceled my order and apologized, but I had to use a big box florist to get what I needed instead of the local route. It's unfortunate their inventory isn't accurate, and I couldn't speak to anyone about it prior to my online order.

I visited for the first time in many years and found that most vendors have changed over the years. One familiar vendor is the Market Blooms at the North Market. I had a delightful experience picking up some flowers yesterday for some family friends in the area. I actually came specifically to visit this vendor and found them easily in the middle of the North Market. There was no wait but it was also mid-afternoon on a weekday. I glanced through the creative card selection (out of curiosity) and then checked out the flower options. They had some floral arrangements ready for pick up at a variety of prices. I selected the mid-range price and was delighted at the options I had. I used a combination of a gift card and credit card, which was easy to do. The flowers were well received by me and later by my family friends who I gave them to as a thank you for hosting me for a meal. While I was there, I met two of the vendors including a man who had been working there for more than thirty years. That made sense as I last stopped by for flowers at this same vendor approximately twenty years ago, and he looked familiar. Market Blooms opened for business in 1990 with the simple mission of becoming a neighborhood flower shop serving the local community. While I was at a conference this week, someone asked me if I knew the nearest place to take an Uber or Lyft to get flowers, and I mentioned I thought that there was a flower store in the North Market, only across the street from the convention center. I then realized I had a need for flowers and took my own advice. The location is in the middle of the North Market near the front doors. The hours at the North Market are Monday from 9 AM to 5 PM, Tuesday through Friday from 9 AM to 7 PM, Saturday from 8 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday from 12 to 5 PM. I would assume that later during the lunch hour during the weekends (and weekdays) it is probably quite busy. Market Blooms still has the same missions; they are still that neighborhood shop with buckets of freshly picked flowers, ready to greet people at the door. She called me right away because she was a little confused as to why she received another arrangement. I explained to her what had happened with the previous order. She said although the first arrangement was pretty, she loves this one because it has her favorite flowers in it...carnations and roses. She also said that if she needs flowers, she would definitely order from Griffin's. They definitely went out of their way to see that she had a beautiful arrangement. I, too, will be giving Griffin's another try when I need flowers.

I purchased the Fair Maiden arrangement which was made after the transaction. The arrangement was embarrassing to give to her as most of the flowers were ripped and wilted in an overly sized vase. I replaced with a smaller one which helped some but definitely not worth the price. This will be my last time going to Griffin's. Stick to the wine!
