Catfish, french fries, coleslaw, hush puppies, and sweet tea!!!!! Doesn't get any better!!!!! The outside tables are a great addition so we can eat our take-out right there under the big tree!!!!!

    Burger

Came across this little restaurant while hungry on the way back to Miami, at first you would not think it's a restaurant, kinda looks dark and most the cars were on the side not in front. Server was a young lady she was a joy, beautiful smile. The food is absolutely amazing, I had the fried pickles SO GOOD, chili, SO GOOD, hush puppies, AMAZING, and the burger was absolutely a top notch BIG juicy, FRESH meat burger. Everything was Niceeeely seasoned the list goes on and on. Forgot too mention every piece of food we saw come out the kitchen looked soooo good. Definitely worth the drive and definitely will stop again next time we are in the area.

    Gator bites.

Tiny little place that was worth the stop. Home southern cooking. Nothing fancy here.. just the basic friendly service and good food.

Stopped here taking the backroad to Orlando. Fried frog leg sort of place. We had the chili and apple pie. Both were homemade and excellent.

The sauce was absolutely delicious. The mashed potatoes were loaded and massive, and the broccoli tasted great. Couldn't finish it, so took it home! Two have chickpea as a source with the third no having a plant based source of protein in the dish. We confirmed with the server that the guacamole did not contain dairy so ordered the plantain chips and guac as an app- highly recommend. Then after having many other burgers/sandwiches on our trip I opted for the chickpea pasta with veggies and leaving off the parm to make it vegan. I appreciate the volume of veggies in the dish, though the sauce was a touch too oily. The main issue was the cooks WAY over cooked the chickpea pasta so when they tossed it with the sauce and veggies 2/3 of the pasta had broken apart...

Definitely pricey, but we got a good amount of food based on what we ordered and ended up being really full and taking food home. My mom was out of town so my dad and I went for an early Father's Day celebration. Unfortunately, it was one of the kitchen's off nights as the calamari which is normally cooked perfectly came out rubbery and overdone. Wait staff offered to have the kitchen remake it but my dad wasn't sure it would come out any better the second time, depending on how the kitchen was timing or judging the cook. He opted to get the voodoo pasta which I had ordered as well. The chicken in the voodoo pasta was also overdone and on the chewy side due. Pasta sauce was definitely bland in comparison to the sauce from a special the week prior that our same waiter had said was actually the voodoo sauce. Sad that nothing came out how we'd hoped, especially on a celebration day. One last note for readers: the dining room to the back right of the restaurant is extremely loud and hard to hear even those you are dining with, regardless of the number of tables filled.
