I respect people that do barbecue what I don't respect is when they don't know how to do barbecue, right? OK. I gotta be honest. I didn't have an issue with the service. I went in to grow away to meet me at the counter. It was fine. Not a problem. I really don't care about ambience. Because I wasn't sitting in there eating but the food. Very very very disappointing. The brisket was dry. It wasn't Moist. It was a cheap caught a brisket. You could tell the sauce I got was weird. It taste like straight Worchester or sauce, which I don't have a problem with West or sauce but so be those armadillo egg rolls for $12 for two of them. That's insane. That's that's horrible. They weren't very good. OK. The baked beans were decent because I was lousy. The banana pudding was excellent. The buckeye cake was was good. A little sausage. Things were good but you can tell. He probably got it from Publix or something. Like Johnny Johnsonville or something like that but they were fine. The garlic bread was burnt overcooked. Overall is very disappointed. And the prices are outrageous. There's no reason you should be charging that much money for food. That's that's crazy. Those egg armadillo egg rolls. I'll tell you what I get better. Egg rolls and China taste. The shrimp. Rolls are better there than those. I know I'm being really harsh but to be honest with you, you shouldn't be you. Should we make a barbecue? If you're from Texas, I don't know the owners, but y'all need to go ahead and get some lessons from some true taxes. Lacey was so sweet and genuinely cared about providing a great experience. She gave us recommendations of things to do in the area, and catered to our gluten allergy needs. The GF chicken tenders and fries in the gluten free dedicated fryer were delicious. (If you're gluten free, call ahead to make sure dedicated fryer is in use. Lacey told us that on rare occasions, they don't use a dedicated fryer. Example, if one of the main fryers is down.) My catfish was delightful and the key lime pie was the best I've ever had outside of the Florida Keys. Lacey even brought us local orange blossom honey that they serve in their little shop area for my hush puppies. Also, the music was fun with good singalong country/southern rock singalongs. The catfish was very tasty along with the fried flounder. They are were very well cooked and had a nice breading-to-fish ratio. I enjoyed the yellow squash as the vegetable of the day but I wasn't crazy about the mashed potatoes. I personally would not get them again. My mom enjoyed the fried clam as she talked about how she used to get a Howard Johnsons fried clam sandwich that she still dreams of. She said these fried clams were even better cooked than the ones she had in the past. She also said she really enjoyed the catfish as it was very tasty. Finally, she mentioned how the coleslaw was really good as it wasn't overly 'mayonaisey.' Now, I do have one negative thing to say. Although our waitress was very sweet and kind she was a bit slow on wrapping up our dining experience. We both wanted to get some desert to go, and waited at least ten minutes for her to come back to our table. I've never had a problem with anything. I have had to eat here and that does keep me coming back. The people that work here are always friendly and they strive to make sure you get a good meal. And this occasion I wanted something a little different so I ordered a polish sausage Chicago style without tomatoes because I can't have them. The bond did fall apart a bit more than I like, but my meal was excellent. They always have very tasty french fries. I have tried several things over the years and feel confident and recommending their entire menu. And of course, if you are looking for a pizza puff, then this is one of the few places you can find them around the Orlando area. If you're looking for a good Chicago style, hot dog or Polish or any hotdog this is the local stop. They use genuine Vienna, beef products, which always brings the taste of home for me. I got a chicken tempura roll, and my husband got a poke bowl. We were both extremely pleased with the food quality, portion and presentation. We ordered in store, and everyone we interacted with was very friendly!! I saw that they also offer an online ordering option, which might be nice if we are ordering to pick up on the way home or if we are out running errands.
