The food is actually really good at The Chomp House Grill. The Chomp House Grill is located at the Wild Florida Airboats, a popular attraction in Kenansville Florida. It originally opened in 2013 and has been a popular casual dining spot for locals and tourists. My partner had surprised me with tickets to the Wild Florida Airboats and park. After we rode the airboats and visited the exhibit, we stopped by to eat lunch at The Chomp House Grill. It's open seven days a week, from 10:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M. It's a great spot to grab lunch or an early dinner after the airboat tours and other activities at Wild Florida. It's a casual dining spot and has a wide range of foods. Some of the more popular items include the gator bites, catfish basket, and the pulled pork sandwich. The restaurant also serves a variety of sides such as hush puppies and coleslaw. We ended up selecting the following Pulled Pork Sandwich with Mac n Cheese Cheeseburger with French Fries Onion Rings The wait time wasn't too bad, less than 15 minutes! Those onion rings were absolutely delicious! It was perfectly fried and crispy. When you took a bite, the whole onion didn't come off! It was so good! The pulled pork sandwich was delicious. It was so flavorful! if I end up visiting Wild Florida Airboats another time, I'd eat at the Chomp House Grill again. Food was amazing and the price was inexpensive.

After enjoying the safari we decided to get something to eat at the cafe. They have a large indoor and outdoor sitting. The service was pretty fast and the employees were friendly. Both of my kids liked their food. The Mac and cheese was basic box Mac nothing great, the corn bread was very soft and not dry. We also had the Florida platter which had fried gator, grouper and shrimp which was good but the gator was a bit over cooked (they don't have Tatar sauce, but the aioli was pretty good). Overall if was a good option while on the park and we enjoyed it.

First time here we came to the safari drive thru and saw the restaurant and decided to try it, We had the Florida platter which consisted of fish, gator, grouper and Shrimp with garlic bread and alioli sauce with 2 sides which were cornbread and fries for the kids tenders and fries and cheeseburger and fries with the special cup that included a swap drink. Kids food was good and the drink was super cute. Our platter was ok the fried gator was over cooked all else was ok. Service was average nothing special order through the window and they would call you number for pick up.

We visited the Drive Thru Safari Park then to the walk thru Gator Park and decided to have lunch here. The menu is simple. My family of 4 ordered the following: 1. The Swamp Platter: Per my husband and 10yo son, the gator bites were good, and the meat was not moist. They said it tastes like chicken and dipped it with ranch. The catfish was alright. The batter broke off easily, so then you're holding onto the fish to try to dip. The fish had a little fishy smell still, but the fish was pretty chewey to enjoy. 2. Side of onion rings: very crispy but missing beer battered flavor, though I'm not sure if thats the batter they use. I'm just used to it. 3. Side if cheese curds: little small pieces of cheese bites. I think it's mozzarella, but bc it's so little unlike a mozarella cheese sticks. But it was good. Be careful biting into it as it's hot to bite into. 4. Slush drinks: I ordered the Safari and Swamp Slushy. It's pretty good but becomes a little too sweet when it melts out. The Safari Slushy tastes much better than the Swamp Slushy. It comes with either a plastic souvenir mason jar for $7 and no refilll or an animal cup with a straw for $17 with $3 refills. The service is friendly and quick. The staff there knows what they're doing, especially when there's a large field trip there today, so they were feeding the students on top of taking orders from the park visitors. There's a shaded picnic bench area to eat at and some rocking chairs laying aroundn maybe for a nap after eating all the fried food. The breeze was nice, and the peacocks roaming around was a nice sight with nature surrounding us.

Good hot food for lunch. Does a good catfish fry and bartered gator bites. Aioli sauce is good. Mac and cheese is generic and bland (not salty for kids). The menu is good with its limited fare. I enjoyed the fried food. Don't know how the sandwiches are like but the other guests seem to enjoy it.

Wow! What a jewel in the middle of nowhere. Brought a group of seniors out to ride the airboats. And decided on lunch. The Philly was one of my top three Philly's I have eaten. And I have been to Philadelphia. Food is cooked to order. Nice maple flavored baked beans. Others had pulled pork which had great flavor. Crispy fries. The chef. Yes house chef took time to talk to us. Nice touch. Will be back.

Food was awful. Gator bites were morsels of fried batter. Absolutely no flavor to them.

For future customers I would order with no salt and add to your own taste. The potato salad also had something like sour cream and onions added to it that was too strong in flavor and we only had a couple bites before throwing the rest away. You order at the gift shop which is nice and air conditioned but you eat in an enclosed outdoor space with a fan. Pulled Pork Sandwich: The beans I got as sides were really good, the bun was a nice soft brioche and you can choose your toppings so I added lettuce and pickles to help cut some of the saltiness. It's a pretty meat-packed sandwich and tasted fine. Hot Dog: This was a lot bigger than normal and perfect for our kids to split. Tasted great.

I believe you can order food here without having tickets to the airboat rides (but double-check that before you come). You order inside at the gift shop at a cash register. They have menus right by the line to check out the menu before ordering. The woman at the register was nice. We settled on ordering BLTs and ribs. I'm a huge BLT fan, and this one was really good! The ribs were also good. They supply a few different types of bbq sauce, and they each were good, but I preferred the spicy one. Also, the BLTs were really big, and you can easily split them between two people. We sat outside, which was the only seating option. It was an indoor/outdoor space, but open so let's say plenty of bugs were flying around. I would eat here again if we were coming to do the airboat tour.

The lady went and asked if they had any. She said they did. Didn't wait very long and went about our business. Went home opened up. And I guess I shouldnt have high expectations but the brisket wasn't really fatty and it was dry. We got Carolina sauce and regular bbq. We didn't really enjoy the brisket and threw away some of the pieces because they were overly dry. Definitely won't be back and honestly, i don't understand establishments that really just sell people things that are not up to par. If you don't have the meats or it doesn't look fresh. Why would you even sell it? Like I'm pretty sure if they saw what they served us, they probably wouldn't eat it either. Also, I should've known coming in around 6/630pm I would get the bottom of the barrel meats.

Thanks to Yelp! I was able to find a restaurant to fulfill my craving for some delicious ribs in…read morethe area! I was about 25 minutes away, when I took my family here, and they were wondering where we were going, but let me tell you, they were not disappointed by the food, service and the surround area. When we arrived, it seemed like a downtown area that was kind of chill because it was a Tuesday early evening. Barely any traffic around and tons of open parking, especially right in front to the restaurant. From the front I noticed some funny signs, a patio that was wide open for seating, yard games and a nice cozy dive bar vibe. When we went inside, we were immediately greeted at the counter by our server. It was not busy, there was actually only one customer sitting at the bar. The bar has about 6 seats and has TVs to watch and the restaurant if filled with tons of cool Classic Rock pictures, memorabilia and quotes. It was just the vibe we needed to just hang as a family. The server allowed us to pick any table we wanted. We ordered margaritas. They were delicious. We also has the RIBS, okra, mac & cheese, potato salad, some greens, cornbread, brisket, grilled cheese sandwich and fries. EVERYTHING, including the SERVICE was on point; we left well fed, satisfied and happy we found this place to eat tonight. To walk off the food , there is a park right across the street. At the park you will find food trucks for dessert, like ice cream on a hot day. There's also a walking trail and a play ground for the kiddos. There was an area where people were fishing off the doc. I saw an area where people also get married and a facility for our veterans. I included some pictures of what I saw along my way after I left the restaurant for people looking for things to do in the area with a family and/or friends. If you're ever in the area, I highly recommend you stop by this restaurant for some good eats, drinks and just a place to relax and have a good time. There's also service is great and the area is filled with things to do afterwards. Thank me later.

I got the sampler sliders and my boyfriend got the sampler platter. The slider buns were perfect and even toasted a bit which added major bonus points for me. The pulled pork was tender and flavorful. Brisket was peppery and perfect. Ribs were also veryyyy tenderrrrrr. You can tell the food is made with love. All I could do was smile as I ate my lunch, knowing I have an amazing bbq spot so close to me. 3. The corn nuggets were SO GOOD and SO comforting. Crispy, sweet, and perfect. I eyed the menu before going, and these caught my eye immediately. They did not disappoint. I can't wait to have them again! 4. The sauces were FIRE. The sweet and the crimson were perfect to us. 5. We happen to stumble upon Jimmy Bears BBQ and are glad we had the opportunity to try it! We came on a Friday night around 6pm, expecting the restaurant to be packed but as we walked in we quickly realized we were the only patrons there. During our time there we never saw anyone else come in either. We ordered our food to-go, and it came out relatively quickly! We felt the price was on par with similar restaurants, and very fair for the amount of food you received The food itself was overall decent. There were some items that we really enjoyed, like the Mac and cheese, three blind mice sandwich, and the Alabama white sauce!! Other items like the green beans or pulled brisket left us wanting more. The green beans did not taste fresh, and the brisket lacked seasoning/flavor. There were also a lot of fried elements like the tater tots, onion rings or even the mozzarella sticks on the three blind mice sandwich, which we feel like were all decent and not too greasy, but also know those are easy things to make regardless of where you're at! The staff was very friendly at the restaurant! They were available if we had questions, and got our food out quickly to us. The ambiance of the restaurant was a little out of date and worn. You could definitely tell this establishment/building has been here for awhile with little to no updates over the years. A few updates to the space I think would really transform it and make it look like it belongs in 2023 not 1993. We do see ourselves coming back in the future, as we saw a few other menu items we are curious about trying!
