We stopped at the Fort Drum service plaza for a lunch and a stretch break after visiting family on the west coast of Florida. As it was just after Christmas, the plaza was packed. I was glad to see that the lines at Nathan's were not that long compared to some of the other food options here. It did take a bit of time to get our food, as there was only one guy working the grill and the register. After a short time, one of the guys working another concession came over to help -- and took over the register. We got their two hot dog combo to share which comes with a large French fry and a drink. I really like their fries also. We added condiments from little packets and were able to find a seat -- luckily -- at an open table. We'd requested well done everything and it all was. It was a perfect lunch for us after eating huge meals all week. And yes, I'd come here again when next on the road...Now can they open a few Nathan's a bit closer and not on the Turnpike?

I wish I was famous so I can influence more people to not come here. The chicken looked nothing like how it was advertised, there were barely any fries, my chili hotdog was inedible due to the plethora of cheese surrounding the bun (I had to use a spoon to eat it), and my fries were unseasoned. I've eaten at a lot of restaurants and fast food places, however, this one actually got me to write a review. Not to mention, the employee was inattentive and not hospitable at all.

I've been debating writing a review or not on the experience we had…read more Our son had a baseball game nearby and we stopped here for lunch after one of his games because it was his birthday and he wanted wings. The server was miserable and treated us terribly. She rolled her eyes multiple times at us and was rude to my son when he ordered his food. He wanted a Cesar salad and wings and after he ordered the salad she moved on to my daughter. After she was finished he looked at me and said "I didn't get to order my wings". I told her that he also wanted wings (eye roll) and she said "well, I didn't hear him order wings, so I didn't HEAR HIM". He is 12, he isn't a little child, and the way she interacted was horrible. Food came out and we never saw her again. She never refilled drinks and she avoided our table like we were the plague. Then, LOL I asked the hostess if they could do something for his birthday and they said they would let our waitress know. I joked with my kids dad and step mom that she's probably going to be farther annoyed that we asked, an lo and behold, she came over to the table and said "yeah, we don't do birthdays here". The website literally says "celebrate your birthday with us!" ‍ We were trying to talk to a manager on our way out, but she told us they were too busy to talk to us. We are from out of town and this experience would have never happened at our Millers. Crazy overall.

While all of the local restaurants we visited were amazing what made Salty Sisters stand out among the rest was the fantastic service, Chanel and Jenny were incredible, they truly went out of their way to make us feel welcome. From their perfect menu recommendations to their attention to our meal it was a wonderful experience. And happy to report Salty Sisters had, hands down, the best french fries of any establishment we visited. We will definitely be back for the incredible service and yummy food. Great job Salty Sisters.

Really want to like this place more, but it continues to be a (somewhat) hit & (mostly) miss option…read moreeach visit. Keep in mind, the bar is pretty low for a beachside sports bar like this. They have a good rotation of local bands, outdoor seating, friendly staff, cold beers but very average food. The outdoor area is large, but feels neglected. The beer selection is ok, but there is a large amount of the selection dedicated to what my friend called "redneck rodeo beers" (PBR, Busch Light, etc. - just missing some Natty Lights). I'd say that a good third of our orders over our combined visits have been a little off (missing items, wrong wing seasoning, overcooked, overseasoned, etc.), but the waitresses have been very good in fixing what you bring to their attention. Giving it the benefit of the doubt with the 3rd star (the waitresses saved the day!) and hoping our next visit is as amazing as I want it to be!

Tight parking. Small lot. Inside is a tiki bar vibe, it is very small business and the waitress is super nice (and must deal with a lot). It was virtually empty when we went for dinner. Mussel and clam in white wine: okay the bread was not even grilled (I had expected some buttery smoked grill mark situation) and the clams had a lot of sand in them. There was a handful of dead mussels. And overall it was a bit salty and lacking in freshness. Mahi taco- inside was good but idk if orlando doesn't have a good bread place cuz the tortilla was soo bad. Like no moisture, fake tasting tortilla. Otherwise the fish and toppings are yummy and I can see why its recommended. Again not really the blackened grill flavor. The fries were real potato (russet) but also felt a overfried/fried too long at a low temperature because they were greasy and some were burnt.. The fried oysters were okay, on the smaller side. Overall, this place might be better for fried baskets and like fish and chips rather than fresh seafood experience. Also considering it is on the cape/island you do have to drive out a long way on a single road to get to it, so that might have also influenced my expectations. Again the service is good and nice if you do want to support a local business. Just for the price and repertoire, maybe I had higher expectations.
