This was a horrid experience. Out of all of the other brands I could've chosen, I chose this one…read more Do not give them your money or time. I wish I was famous so I can influence more people to not come here. The chicken looked nothing like how it was advertised, there were barely any fries, my chili hotdog was inedible due to the plethora of cheese surrounding the bun (I had to use a spoon to eat it), and my fries were unseasoned. I've eaten at a lot of restaurants and fast food places, however, this one actually got me to write a review. Not to mention, the employee was inattentive and not hospitable at all.

We stopped at the Fort Drum service plaza for a lunch and a stretch break after visiting family on the west coast of Florida. As it was just after Christmas, the plaza was packed. I was glad to see that the lines at Nathan's were not that long compared to some of the other food options here. It did take a bit of time to get our food, as there was only one guy working the grill and the register. After a short time, one of the guys working another concession came over to help -- and took over the register. We got their two hot dog combo to share which comes with a large French fry and a drink. I really like their fries also. We added condiments from little packets and were able to find a seat -- luckily -- at an open table. We'd requested well done everything and it all was. It was a perfect lunch for us after eating huge meals all week. And yes, I'd come here again when next on the road...Now can they open a few Nathan's a bit closer and not on the Turnpike?

Inside is a tiki bar vibe, it is very small business and the waitress is super nice (and must deal with a lot). It was virtually empty when we went for dinner. Mussel and clam in white wine: okay the bread was not even grilled (I had expected some buttery smoked grill mark situation) and the clams had a lot of sand in them. There was a handful of dead mussels. And overall it was a bit salty and lacking in freshness. Mahi taco- inside was good but idk if orlando doesn't have a good bread place cuz the tortilla was soo bad. Like no moisture, fake tasting tortilla. Otherwise the fish and toppings are yummy and I can see why its recommended. Again not really the blackened grill flavor. The fries were real potato (russet) but also felt a overfried/fried too long at a low temperature because they were greasy and some were burnt.. The fried oysters were okay, on the smaller side. Overall, this place might be better for fried baskets and like fish and chips rather than fresh seafood experience. Also considering it is on the cape/island you do have to drive out a long way on a single road to get to it, so that might have also influenced my expectations. Again the service is good and nice if you do want to support a local business. Just for the price and repertoire, maybe I had higher expectations.

We also tried the Hawaiian pasta salad. I was skeptical but it turned out to be pretty good. Coconut custard pie was good, fresh and delicious.
