First the good: everything. I'm pretty sure I've tried almost every kabob place in Orange County and I always come back to this one. Whenever I bring friends here, they're always satisfied. The seasoning on the meat, the rice, hummus, hot sauce, everything is amazing. Definitely my #1 when I'm in the mood for Mediterranean. Today, we had extra hummus and they gave me an extra piece of pita so that we could enjoy it, and not just eat pure hummus. They could've charged, but it was nice of them to give a pita, which is why I'll gladly come back. The bad: price. HOWEVER, you are getting what you pay for, which is why I continue to come back. To me, it's worth the price. I would love to see them come out with a combo that includes a mini hummus and mini tzatziki at the current price and I'd probably eat there everyday. read more

Ordered the beef plate and added chicken kabob. Beef and chicken were both moist, I'd say It was standard what you'd expect from a middle eastern restaurant. I did like their tomato sauce which is unique here and not the typical sauce like other places. Service was fast. read more

Delicious! Popped in while in Mission Viejo area. Restaurant is small and has seating inside and out. Menu is small which is probably why their food is great. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are bathrooms and they are clean. I ordered the veggie kabob plate with grilled tomatoes. The plate came with basmati rice and half of a pita. I ordered a side of the tzatziki and it came with the other half of my pita. ;-) Definitely recommend this place if you're around and looking for fresh food fast! They have an open kitchen so you can hear and see the staff working. You can also hear the veggies roasting on the grill! They use mesquite wood for grilling so the food is flavorful. Grill Hut was a great alternative to many fast food options. Do not let anyone tell Mexicans they can't cook anything! Owner works the front and a little reserved, but very helpful. The first thing I noticed was the unique taste of the chicken, it has a great flavor from the wood they cook it on. It is also very moist and cooked in a way that is not grilled, yet thoroughly cooked. Lots of rice provided as a filler. This is needed because there simply is not nearly enough chicken to satiate. I paid $3 for a tiny cup of maust. Meals are dry and incomplete without this required side. Charge $4 for a proper large size and recommend this on the menu to acquire new customers who do not know that maust a'khiar is a must or your meal will not taste good. 2. The amount of saffron on the rice was SHAMEFUL, you guys. 70% of the top of a serving of rice should be yellow. 3. Include 3 sprigs of mint with each meal. Recommend that this be broken apart and spread across your rice. On the positive side, the chicken was great and cooked to perfection with lots of flavor. I have to give some credit to Grill Hut, the steak kabob was delicious. The meat was tender, well seasoned and perfectly cooked. The rest of the meal however, is a bit unimaginative. It came with basmati rice, and your choice of side salad or grilled tomatoes. The Salad is your typical green garden salad, and the rice I found to be a bit bland. The pita was dry and brittle and your order only came with half of one. The real saving grace for the plate was the sauces they give you. Both yogurt based it seemed, with one of them having a reddish hue and having a bit of spice. The sauces really picked up the flavor on an otherwise boring meal. Kudos on the meat, however definitely need a bit of work on the rest. read more

Honestly, such a god send. I was craving cava or any type of Mediterranean food and there's none around us (or so I thought) and I remembered this place was next to sprouts. The menu was straightforward and so easy to pick something. I got the chicken wrap and I could see them cooking the chicken fresh when I ordered. The people in the front were super kind and told me 10 minutes and it was done in exactly 10 minutes! The chicken wrap was amazing! Super filling and I felt full but not groggy.
