The single and only reason for the 5 star is because of Issac's incredible service! As soon as i walked in it was hot and i was complaining and my server issac reassured me that it was a common thing thats been going on for about 2 weeks now. So i didnt feel too bad or doomed for long. He then explained the menu in such a well spoken manner , with no stuttering whatsoever. Some servers ive had before have not been able to execute a welcoming at this level. Me and my lady friend were very happy with our service. Okay now for the food! I ordered a classic 12in pep with basil, and it was 8.5/10 good crust , good sauce, peps had a good bite. Basil added flavor /aroma. My gf ordered the brooklyn and it was a 6.5/10 Good crust, not the biggest fan of ricotta. Very good pizza! Overall 8/10 restaurant. Love this place! The restaurant is beautifully decorated and lit, but this is not the main focus of my review. I can truthfully say that this Grimaldi's has both given me a taste for the best pizza and service in my life! I have been a fan of their pizzas (especially their flavorful quatro formaggi) ever since I tried their pizza at another location, but, truthfully, the pizza I had there today managed to top that of any other Grimaldi's location I have ever dined at. Additionally, my server, whose name I regrettably have forgotten, was the probably one of the kindest people I have ever met and on of the most attentive. Very busy but always good service. If you want classy pizza this is the place to go. We got a caprese salad and a meatball, artichoke hearts, and pepperoni 18" pizza. The first one they brought out had sausage and not meatballs but they let us keep the first one and brought the correct one while comping our check. My absolute favorite pizza place ever! I will forever get a white with garlic pizza here and usually I would put meatballs on top but since we also ordered the very meaty The Don pizza, I opted for some chicken. Eh, the chicken was soooo minimal that it didn't taste like much. I was hoping for some thicker pieces but I guess I have to order extra next time. The Don pizza was surprisingly good (I'm not much of a meat lovers fan) usually I'm very picky with the sausages that are added on top of pizzas, especially the kind that tastes very bitter but this pizza was nothing like that and very cheesy, savory and was thin enough that I didn't feel heavily bloated afterwards. The service was nice, and I appreciate them filling up my water the entire time without me having to ask. But I don't think my Grimaldis account was added to the order even though I asked. I still haven't gotten the change in points but maybe it takes longer than a week? Ambience is beautiful and great for dates, anniversaries, birthdays and catching up with friends. read more

I love Grimaldis I love Grimaldis I love Grimaldis But this is the location that made me realize that their recipes are not standardized. As in-- the Caesar salad was god-awful, and tasted nothing like Caesar. Normally, Grimaldis Caesar salads are phenomenal. The dressing was too acidic and the lettuce was slightly wilted and soggy. A far cry from the Grimaldis we know. Margherita Pizza. Simple and delicious, right? Just fresh sliced mozz, some herby tangy sauce, and fresh basil on a chewy crust? Personally, I do mine with fresh sliced tomatoes, too. How does one fu-- never mind. The crust was super thin-- way thinner than usual. This wasn't a bad thing really, just a different experience than usual. Had it been a good pizza, I don't think this would have been a complaint, really. The sauce on said crust, however, was problematic. 96% positive that it was just canned tomato paste, thinned to the correct consistency. Could not even be 2% sure that there was even any salt in it. A far cry from the Grimaldis sauce we love. The cheese. Not a lot to speak of, but hey, that's why you have really good sauce... oh. Right. Then we get to the basil. I suppose someone made a mistake with the ordering, as our pizza topping was Thai basil, not Italian. Very different flavor profiles, actually-- not interchangeable. More than this, it was brown and black. As in-- the basil was not so fresh and had started to turn prior to it being placed on the pizza. Then, it was burned into oblivion. So the flavor profile hit some burnt licorice notes on top of tomato paste and touches of cheese on a cracker crust. The pizza was bad. Real bad. Outright and hands down the worst pizza I've ever tasted-- somehow outranking Little Caesar's on the list of worsts. I didn't even finish a slice. The waitress was super sweet when she came by to check how everything was and I explained gently why I was not happy with the experience this time. We decided not to risk dessert being a flop, as well, so we asked for the check. At this point, this sweet girl attempted to grab a manager to come speak with us. We watched the event transpire, wherein he didn't even look away from the screen to entertain an ounce of what she had to say. Ordinarily, I'd excuse this if they were busy-- but they weren't. I run restaurants and his behavior was that of those that fail. I appreciate the girl trying-- but the cost of a pizza and a salad isn't going to put me out. That's not what this was about. This is about quality, consistency, and simply doing things correct in culinary. And so, what I would have privately explained to the manager is now a public review. We won't be returning to this location. I hope corporate gets wind of this location's lack of adherence to anything every other Grimaldi's is. The service was timely, the staff was attentive to our large group, and the food was delicious. I especially liked the pepperoni diavolo, which had some spiciness to it. I have visited this Grimaldi's location twice. This latest visit we had a group of 10 people. The experience had a number of good and no-so-good aspects. First, the good. I called the restautant in the morning when they opened, told them I'd have a group of 10, and asked if i could make a reservation or needed a reservation. The person on the phone said they didn't do same day reservations but he didn't think they'd be busy so he's make the reservation. When we arrived at the time planned, the restautant had set up a table for 10 in a good location, so I was very happy to see that. Our waitress took a number of drink orders, delivered those, then took our pizza orders. We ordered 3 very large pizza for the table. The pizzas arrived within a reasonable amount of time, maybe 10 or 12 mintues, and were just as ordered. They were all deliclous. The bad part was the waitress. Although she was friendly, she was not very attentive. She served 2 root beers that were clearly not right: The beverages were pale in color and bland in flavor. Clearly the surup had run low on the soda machine. We also had to ask the waitress for water refills during the meal. She could have visited our table 2 or 3 more times than she did during our stay. So overall the experience was OK. The food was very good. The service was not great and should have been more attentive. read more

Sooo the service was sub par, but the fact of the low star rating was due to the hour + long wait for a burnt pizza that staff had to remake. They stated this was a mistake (understandably) that they had to remake. We never even saw the pizza, the server just came and told us it was BURNT! I am not sure why this place had so many misunderstandings but I would not want anyone to wait over an hour to eat food when it should be shorter than that because of the mishaps. Chad our server was polite and accommodating due to the mistake, he deserves a 5 star rating. The staff seemed to be disengaged with the mistakes that arise, I shouldn't have to to request to have SOMETHING to eat when it's been such a long wait to eat. Third time eating at this pizzeria. The 1st two times we ate there everything went OK. Decent wait times, good pizza. Admittedly, that was two years ago. Today, I don't know what happened. Long story short, we stopped by tonight with a party of 5 just before 7:00 PM. The restaurant was full, but not packed. The time for getting on the wait list to having our pizza's hit the table, every bit of 2 hrs long with most of that time seated and waiting for the food. This place needs to staff up. Everyone seemed to be moving it, but just not enough of them to cover the guests in the restaurant. And they also need to pay attention to upkeep. Sitting guests in torn-up booths? There is no excuse for not keeping up on things that are easy to fix, and these things did not happen overnight. And the Pizzas were good, still. read more

We used to love Grimaldi's so much that we drove to Sugar Land from Memorial every weekend when it was the only location in town. The pizza was flavorful and crispy without being burned. That is no longer the case, as we have tried several locations in the area and the pizza is tasty but soggy. Everything else is fine, including great service. There are better choices in town, so much so that we will give away our gift cards. read more

Met a friend at the bar to get a gift from her and decided to stay and eat. I watched the waitstaff flirt with a guy, the only other person at the bar, while they ignored me. I sat there for a good 10 mins before anyone even said hello. One of the two waitresses was on her phone the entire time and even looked dead at me and just went back to flirting and scrolling.... When I finally did get someone's attention, I ordered a small meat lovers pizza (don't remember the name of it on the menu) and a beer. Food wasn't spectacular and it certainly wasn't hot. Food was fine however service was terrible. We made reservation 4-5 weeks in advance, (3/15 at 5:15pm) asking for the small private room. We get there at 5:07pm and room is not set up at all and our box with cake and flowers is still sitting in corner. They scramble to configure the tables and we set out cake and flowers. I had written order already prepared (3 large salads for group of 11 and 4 pizzas) - no "order taking" except for drinks which was super easy as it was a non drinking group. I had to go find our server twice for refills, then to ask for plates for cake as well as a serving utensil which he pulled out from dirty dishes tray and washed (I sure hope he actually washed it). From my seat on the end, looking outward into the main area, i made it obvious I was always looking for the server (Stretching and leaning, back and forth, looking for 'someone'). Never did another server or Mgr acknowledge me or swing by with a "you need something?" "I'll send your server over" - nothing!! Very disappointing. If you love cheese, you must try the Quattro Formaggio. My friend & I get the 18" and do half Quattro formaggio and half pepperoni. I'm not a fan of their pepperoni but I LOVE the four cheese pizza. The Ceasar salad is really good too. We always get this as a starter. The pizza takes a while to come out (no matter the location) so I recommend getting a starter. This was my first time visiting the memorial town & country location. The were out of quite a few items (like sweet wine & ginger beer) but other than that we had good + efficient service and I recommend a visit if you're in the mood for some good pizza and good service! read more
