This place is a banger! Since moving to Wichita, I come here every weekend. Being from the NJ/NY area myself this is the only place in the city that has authentic pizza like where I grew up. Ingredients are fresh, pizza has a great crispy underneath, and the flavor profile always hits! Pictured here is their margherita pie. Comes with fresh basil, dollops of fresh mozzarella, and their savory, slightly sweet marinara sauce. I opted for their pepperoni and white onions as it is my go to. Their pesto pizza is excellent as well. Cheers!

Third trip: consistently slow getting a pizza out. Inconsistent with amount of toppings. Consistent with large bubbles on the pizza. Didn't ask for our membership so we'd get credit for our purchase.m in their rewards program. We like the flavor of the pizza but, neither of us like the fact their product is inconsistent or that it takes so long to get the pizza to the table. If they can get their act together they'll be fine. As for us I think we'll give it a rest for several months before trying them again. I want to know that I'll get the same great product and service every time and that just hasn't happened at this location.

I'll be up front and say I was a little disappointed. I'm posting this a couple weeks late but I wasn't impressed with my experience. I think back to the time I was in NY at the original establishment and Wichita just didn't meet the mark for me. I came here with a group of friends and sad to say no one was impressed. The appetizer was pretty good. If you sign up at the table for their rewards program they offer a choice of an appetizer or a full size salad for free prior to ordering your main course. I got the bruschetta. It was good. I would order it again. However the pizza, the most important part I would say was the most disappointing part of the experience. I got the prosciutto & arugula pizza. It was $24 for a 12" I believe. Now, in my experience this type of pizza is that it's supposed to be light and fresh and delicate. This particular pizza the prosciutto was dry and it had an ungodly amount of seasoning on it. It was so overwhelming it was hard to eat. It was pretty to look at but way too much seasoning. My friend got a simple classic pepperoni and cheese. The pepperoni pieces were maybe the size of a quarter. And the rest of the pizza was drenched with red sauce. It was hard to even tell it was a pepperoni pizza. I didn't get a photo unfortunately. But she didn't even take her leftovers home. The decor was lovely and very nostalgic in that classic feel of the east coast / NY feel restaurant. It has the appeal or vibe for a great date night spot or a night out with a couple friends. The service was great. Brandi was our server. She was very attentive and helpful. The manager came by once and checked in. Also very friendly. The menu overall seemed a little on the high side, particularly the pizza. In my opinion the quality did not meet my expectation or match up to the price. I personally would not go out of my way to recommend this place to anyone. And since I no longer live in Wichita I won't go out of my way to come back if I'm in town again.

Really like this pizza! I adore the thin crust style and the sauce was perfect. Just the right amount of toppings, too. We sampled The Don with pepperoni and meatballs, a chicken one with BBQ sauce but my favorite was The Brooklyn Bridge. The ricotta was so creamy and the roasted red peppers were tasty. All the ingredients were fresh, you could tell. We also had excellent service.

I've tried almost all the pizzas, today we're getting a traditional pizza with a little mozzarella. Outstanding.

Food is outstanding. We came on a Saturday night. Busy but sat right away. Our service has been great

Two 12" pies and the Warbeard draft beer from the Walnut Brewing Co (local).

The food was amazing! The wait staff was quick and attentive, and ambiance was perfect for a night out with my bride. Highly recommend this place!

Bad:Ordered online and was not given an option to pay at pick up. Placed order @ 6:33pm provided a ready time of 7:03pm. We arrived at the appointed time and then were told it would be an additional 15 minites. Finally received pizza @7:21pm. Problem: asked the employee about the additional 15 minutes and asked why the online ordering doesn't adjust to the volume. She said it never adjust and she said they were slammed. She apologized and said it should be ready in 15 minutes. I felt her response was just standard boiler plate that she throws out every day. Waiting 45 minutes really not cool when a lot of apps for online ordering can actually calculate a GOOD pick up time. Manager and Owners need to do better. You have a good product but questioning my return status.

No complaints there…read more But I ordered delivery, and Knolla's recommends ordering through Toast because then I wouldn't have to pay a surcharge that the restaurant charges. The delivery absolutely sucks!! Toast subcontracts through DoorDash and UberEats- no problem with that, but it's been over an hour since my pizza was picked up from the restaurant. Originally it was going to be approx 15 from pick up to delivery at my house. They keep pushing the time back 5-10 minutes each time. I'm still waiting for the pizza, which I'm sure won't be fresh or hot now. I called and texted the delivery driver but never got a response. I called the restaurant and told them that it really reflects poorly on them since they are the one who recommended that I order my delivery through Toast. The employee was super nice, but couldn't do anything for me since I ORDERED THROUGH TOAST. But, she did say she would relay my comments to the manager. Never going to order delivery from Knolla's again.

In my opinion, there are 3 requirements that make a great pizza; fresh ingredients, dough flavor, and how it's cooked. Il Vicino almost always knocks it out of the park with those requirements. The ingredients are almost always (more on this later) fresh tasting, the dough flavor is absolutely delicious, and the woodfire cook is my favorite way to enjoy pizza, and it makes the place smell so good. I have never ordered anything other than pizza from Il Vicino, but my wife has had the pasta on a few occasions and I have sampled it. On one occasion she ordered the alfredo, and the pasta was well made and well flavored...it doesn't taste fresh-made, but still good. The alfredo sauce has good flavor, but is also unlikely made fresh in house and was runnier than I prefer. We've never tried their panini's or soups, but I've had almost every pizza on the menu. In dozens of visits, we've only had 2 experiences that were underwhelming. One time the pizza was simply undercooked...the flavors were on point, but it just needed a few more minutes in the oven. When a manager came by to check on us, I mentioned it to him, and he gave us 50% off the price after confirming that we declined having them to make us a new pizza. On the other occasion, something was clearly off with the freshness of the mushrooms...it almost seemed as if they had run out of their normal mushrooms, and instead of 86-ing them they ran to the store and bought canned. That said, it's only happened once, and I can forgive singular bad experiences. In terms of overall freshness of ingredients, you can tell that they're not the highest quality in the world, but they don't taste canned or frozen, and given the prices, I can live with "good quality." Which brings us to price. Prices are more than fair, and portions are appropriate for 1-2 people to enjoy a single pizza. Our family of 4 can usually eat there for under $30, sharing 2 pizzas that taste miles better than the national chains.

To be completely transparent, I've done a ton of traveling and if the food tastes good to me, I'll pay whatever price within reason so the prices don't bother me. Inflation is here to stay and if it's THAT much of an issue for you, Little Caesars is right down the street for much cheaper, but you'll sacrifice taste and quality. I am usually a coal oven or wood fire pizza only Neapolitan or NY style pizza only kind of gal. However, for being neither of those things Godfather's Pizza is quite good. It does not "taste" chain to me, and I can indulge and not feel like complete trash after eating it. Little Caesars, Pizza Hut, and Dominoes are all within a couple of miles of Godfather's and having had all of them several times----Godfather's is the clear winner for me. There are a multitude of specialty pizzas in a generous number of sizes including mini which you don't find very often. Even the mini pizza had generous toppings, was made with care, and it was less than 10 dollars. The several times we have ordered, the cheese is plentiful, the toppings are evenly distributed, and our order has been 100% correct each time. Also, they actually cut CLEANLY through their pizzas! I don't know why but for whatever reason all the other chains in this area really struggle to cut their pizzas cleanly, so I am always having to run a knife through them anyway or the slices are tearing weird. I won't lie, looking at pictures of the pizza, they don't really look all that visually appealing but the taste is very solid. I also could wager that they don't travel all that well. Being heavy on the toppings and thicker slices I can imagine any travel time beyond like 10-15 minutes the pizzas probably become soggy pretty quickly. But overall, have I had better? Yes. Have I had worse? By far. But when you're looking for quick, convenient and most importantly tasty pizza---really I don't have any major criticisms and will continue to give them my business.
