I have only ever ordered Picasso's pizza by the slice because they are so gigantic. The slices are good, but because you are buying by the slice they add the toppings to an already prepared plain pizza then reheat it before serving. Though this is not bad, and I can see the efficiency; your flavors are not as mixed as if the toppings had been originally baked on the pizza. If I had just one thing to say about the pizza it would say the sauce is a little heavy on the garlic. Other than that small criticism anytime we have gone in, we have enjoyed the pizza, and they always seem to be busy, so there is something to say that people come back. There are a lot of good pizza places in Wichita, and Picasso's is one of the good ones. Great? I will have to keep looking for that one. read more

I understand now why so many people insisted I visit Picasso's while in Wichita. The staff are friendly and efficient, as is the space itself. My salad was gigantic. My slice of pizza was gigantic. Large enough that when I picked it up the person at the counter offered to cut it into smaller pieces for me, an offer I was glad I accepted. The pizza is tasty with a lovely crust and many toppings. If I lived in Wichita this would be on my regular rotation of places to visit. If you are staying at a hotel near the river, it is a pleasant walk through the Delano neighborhood, an added bonus. read more

Wow! It took one bite to realize THIS is our now favorite pizza in town. We LOOOOVE thin crust crispy awesome pizza crusts and this is IT. The Veg has plenty on super-thin sliced onions and green pepper, mushrooms, sauce and cheese perfectly and ample proportioned. The Heart Attack was also full of sausage, Canadian bacon, and pepperoni. We had so much, we took pizza home with us. The wings were flavorful, but I prefer crispier. Didn't know what to expect at a "slice" place. Just thought it was going to be one of those reheated heat lamp slices, but was pleasantly surprised at the quality of and HUGE slices. They are that large that one slice should do ya, but two if you are starving. We got there at 6 pm. It was a little busy but nothing I hadn't seen in previous visits. We had tickets to a show at Century II and allowed a little over an hour to eat and make it to the show. To make a VERY long story short it was over 45 minutes after we ordered and we were needing to quickly eat and leave. They had not even started making our order. It was only 2 slices. Other people that ordered after us with more food had gotten their food. We asked for a refund and after some very poor customer service we left knowing we had 3 hours before we were going to get anything more than an over priced box of popcorn for dinner. Meh. We were looking for a quick lunch spot while visiting the Exploration Place. This seemed to fit the bill. The crust was blah in flavor. The sauce and cheese light and the toppings even lighter. Yes, the slices are huge. Basically, you are paying for reheated pizza, which is traditional NY pizza by the slice. They give you wimpy plastic utensils to try and eat your food with. Also, they charge double for meatball topping which didn't look much different in size than the sausage. The tines of my fork broke off into my food. Overall, it was ok, but definitely nothing I would crave or desire to dine again. read more

Hip pizza joint serving mega slices! They have pinball machines and candy claw machine to entertain the small people. My personal favorite slice is the Heart Attack, with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, sausage! The folks working the kitchen and dining area are super friendly and chill. After multiple bad encounters with the restaurant, I've decided there are much better places to get overpriced slices of pizza. The last time I went, it was close to closing, and we were told we had to take the order to go. When placing my order, I asked the cashier if their BBQ pizza still had marinara sauce on it because it had years ago, and it was awful. The cashier assured me that it's just BBQ on the pizza and they don't put marinara on BBQ chicken pizzas. I placed my order and left as soon as the pizza was done. However, upon getting home, I discovered that the cashier had no idea what they were talking about, and underneath the cheese, there was marinara mixed with BBQ sauce. The pizza went straight into the trash. Even if they had gotten my order right, Picasso's crust is always way too thin, and by the time you go to eat it, the pizza is soggy with grease. read more

Lets be honest. It has hard to find good pizza anymore. People push the national chains and the TV pushes frozen pizza at the supermarket. Been a big fan of Picasso's for about a year now. Was in town for the Tallgrass Film Festival last year and enjoyed my meal here. I went back last week and it was still great. The staff is very friendly and the ambiance is great. Your order is cooked fresh and made to order. We had some people in our group that is diabetic and the staff made sure their order was cooked correctly and with respect to their health requirements. This is not a cheap, grab a slice, kind of pizzeria. Frankly, you can get a cheaper slice in New York. That being said, you are paying for more than just the food. Which is good. It has a fun atmosphere, mosaic touches in the decor, and a friendly staff. They also have a bar! The pizza is good, the slices are large, and those garlic knots rock. It is a crispy thin crust, so if you like a doughy crust, this isn't your pizza. Unlike the other location, this one has the coconut iced tea which I really enjoyed. At $7-8 a slice, it probably won't be your normal Friday night pizza choice, but it is a fun place to come for a treat. And try the garlic knots! read more

You guys- what? Idk man maybe they had an off night or something? We came to this place from a recommendation from a co worker. We came on a Friday night around 7pm.... Place was CROWDED. We stood inline for close to 10minutes :( when it was finally our turn and that's when we were told it was a 25-30 min wait for one slice of pizza. Clearly idk how slices are made bc I thought they make the whole pie and cut it up or already have the slices cooked and just put them back through the oven. The guy taking our order was also the bartender and he was very very kind and I could tell he was trying his best. We order breadsticks, two slices and a drink- it was around $20, which I thought was a little expensive but whatever. After we order and pay they tell us they're out of breadsticks.....uhmmm Okay. We got garlic knots instead. The. We venture out for our 30minute wait for two slices of pizza. We get our soda and IT IS FLAAAAT. $2+ for fountain soda that is flaaaaat. It doesn't ruin the experience but it was annoying. Garlic knots came out in about 27 mins. Three regular sized barely dressed garlic knots for $4.50. They were very doughy in the middle. The pizza sauce that came w it was delicious tho ymmmmy. My husband and I finished them and were like "ehhh wouldn't pay for those again." We then go get our slices. They're huge, we get it. About 1/3 of the cheese was so burnt we couldn't eat it. All in all our first bite was average....idk why tho but it kept getting worse lol. The cheese tasted like it was the cheap cheese like from cicis. The sauce was the best thing about it yummm...but everything from the cheese to the dough was soooo underwhelming. Idk why but it got worse w every bite for us lol. We ended up leaving like 1/2 of it, throwing it away and then going to Pizza Hut and ordering a pizza there lol.... Service is good, however it can get busy at peak times and you might have a little bit of a wait. It also does get very loud, due to all the hard surfaces. Honestly one of my favorite pizza places in Wichita. It's gone downhill since the late 2010s slightly. Their ricotta cheese in their calzones were blah. But honestly solid ambiance from the place. They've got arcade games and space for party. The service is on par. Nothing terrible. Just the food is not always consistent. I have been aware of Picasso's existence for quite some time but never made an effort to drive to Delano for their pizza, from the far east side. It was a Sunday mid afternoon so the place was not busy. No problem ordering and got my pizza within about 10-15 minutes. The first thing I noticed was the slice was absolutely smothered in ingredients (The Kitchen Sink). The pizza prep guy asked if I wanted it sliced...yes. There is no way you can pick up that "floppy" slice without everything falling off of it. So I was expecting a great pizza based on it size and abundance of toppings. Two bites into it, I knew it was a total DUD. There is absolutely no red sauce on their pizza. Thus no flavor other than that which comes from the partially baked copious green peppers, onion and mushrooms. The meat ingredients are super bland in their flavor contribution to the pizza. The supposed "Italian Sausage" was simply plain old Pork nuggets with no Italian spice in them at all. I also could barely detect any cheese. It is not visible because they spread whatever little there is, as a thin layer on top of the dough before they bury it with the other toppings. Where's the Sauce ??? So here's the thing. This place relies on the novelty/gimmick of serving humongous pizza slices, which might be appealing to those who have no sense of "taste" and just think it's cool. And to call this "New York style" pizza is an insult to the New York pizza industry. As the old saying goes, "It's Not The Size That Matters" which certainly applies in this situation. Put some dang sauce on your pizza. Any one of the Big Three in town (Domino's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's) , blows Picasso's away on flavor, because that is where the value is when you go for pizza, along with texture. So their Humongous pizza slice is a Ginormous waste of calories. I had to apologize to both my heart and my taste buds for subjecting them to this disappointment. They put my mouth in "time out". Guess I won't be eating for a couple days to compensate. read more

I must say I typically don't like beer but this one was quite different, a little sour and I enjoyed it. Nice location and great ambiance. Excellent service. Got a Picasso (pesto, tomato, spinach, feta) and Kitchen Sink (typical supreme pizza with pepperoni, sausage, onion, bell pepper, mushrooms). Slices are HUGE! Had to wait about 20-25 minutes due to lots of people, has outdoor seating. Thankfully they ask if we want the slices cut, which I said yes to. Pizza was hot and fresh, crust was thin and crunchy. The middle sections of the pizza were a bit soggier, but flavors were good, really liked the Picasso. The Kitchen Sink was just okay, felt like the toppings were sort of just tossed on without having really been cooked, a bit odd. Slices were a bit pricey at around $9 per slice. read more

This place has become a family favorite when it comes to pizza night. The Jr slices are only 2.95 so easy on the pocket book. The large adult slices range from 6.95 to around 7.95 or so. Depending on what you get. Service is usually pretty quick even when they're busy. Our kids love their $1 chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Located in the Delano district. Sometimes finding a parking place is tricky but otherwise not a bad spot. Looking forward to many more family pizza nights to come. read more

See, I'm strange and don't like cheese on my pizza, but can't actually get no cheese because I always get a big pizza. Here, you can get individual pizzas, and I simply had to ask for no cheese. The customer service was amazing and they didn't judge me for being weird. The patio, where we ate, was very clean and the restaurant has a nice pub-style to it. Giving a 4* cuz of no customer service. Never been here and I felt lost cuz didn't know how their process work.
