Ate here with my wife. Together we had the steak salad and the Santa Fe grinder. The grinder was great but the steak salad was pretty bad. The fries in the salad were a nice touch, but the 6 pieces of beef were gamey almost liver tasting. Either the beef was really old or a really bad quality (grade C?). read more

Grinders has been a local favorite of mine for over 20 years. They have great soup and of course grinders. Their "Luscious Lemon" pie is very yummy. I agree with Megan G's review that it is not a date spot, but a good after church, running around restaurant. They are good, quick, and quality service and food. read more

Truly something for everyone ! The selection and choices are impressive. The quality of the food is 5 Star. Amelia's Sweet Tater Chips with the dill sauce are amazing appetizer. I gravitate to the Key West Salad (I have them add a grilled chicken breast to it) in warmer weather, and either the Spaghetti Bake or the Monterey Chicken if I'm in the mood for hot food. Other family/friends who have been with me have enjoyed the wraps, grinders and special of the day. They have a great array of pies for dessert. My personal favorite is the Cherry Almond Macaroon. I cannot make a trip home without eating at Grinders. Call it part supporting the local business and part habit. I've never ordered anything except the Southwestern Grinder with mesquite turkey. Mmmm-mmm. Good stuff. The decor has changed over the years and today it seems like they cannot decide if they want to be more down-home country (notice the pies in the case and the ticky tacky gift shop) or just a casual family dining spot. We had to wait a while for our table (because we had 8 adults and 5 kids), but it worked out beautifully because we ended up getting the back room to ourselves with the kids at one table and adults at another. From there the service was pretty quick, and everyone seemed pleased with their food. I love their sweet tater chips and always get russian dressing in addition to the dip it comes with. Wish I would have had room for pie, but it just wasn't happening. read more

This is one of my favorite restaurants...anywhere. Sure it can be get a bit crowded and, yes, the waitresses are sometimes testy...but the food is good. I highly recommend The Aviator, toasted, with ham, turkey and pepperoni. I don't think I've ever eaten anything here that wasn't good!! read more

The food is OK service is good But it's becoming more like an Einstein's bagels or something . A little too corporate for me less micromanaging More common sense in the management department. You got two servers running around like crazy and 3 managers just sitting on their butts With a list of demands. Just had dinner there with my grandparents. I had a salad and the mac and cheese flatbread. The salad was run-of-the-mill, but the mac and cheese flatbread was awesome! They serve their mac and cheese various ways, and I would suggest any of them. They have a relatively nice veggie menu (especially for N. Canton!). If your not a veggie, their wedding soup is apparently very good. read more

Grinders is one of our favorite restaurants. The North Canton location is the one that we frequent most often. The menu is incredible. There is something for everyone regardless of your mood. Anything from crab cakes. fabulous grinders, burgers, or several complete dinners. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. The cheesy potatoes are amazing. And the desserts never disappoint. Where do I start - they have really good food. I am partial to their salads - today I had the grilled chicken cashew salad. Wonderful. Dessert - yes I has a salad so therefore I can have dessert [smile] They had Mexican Fruitcake. It is WONDERFUL. IT IS NOT A TRADITIONAL FRUITCAKE. It have pineapple and nuts in the cake with a lite touch of spices, 4 layers of cake. Iced with cream cheese icing and finely chopped walnuts pressed into the side of the cake. If they get it out of the cooler a couple of minutes to let it warm a little - it will just melt in your mouth. YUM! Truth be told I have never had anything bad to eat. We" WERE" frequent diners and Grinders was one of our favorite places to go. The last time we went we were not very happy and tonight we thought we would try one more time.It was not a good idea. We had the grilled chicken that had bacon on it, the chicken was a couple of small pieces that were about 1" x 1" and fell out as soon as you picked up the sandwiches and the bacon was to hard to chew. The waitress did stop to give us our check didn't ask if the wife would like a second coffee she did ask how or meal was but walked away as I started to tell her.I did put a small note on top of the check so she would know I didn't just forget the tip. read more
