Tried this truck out with the boss lady. I got the trio tacos with three different meats and my wife got the mahi mahi tacos. The chicken taco had good flavor and was super tender, the pork was flavorful too but the beef had a ton of flavor, very nice. These did come with pickled onions so if you're not a fan like me just ask to leave them off, it didn't stop me from wolfing them down though. My wife said her fish taco was great and had fresh crisp lettuce. These people are super friendly so make sure you stop by after drinking ungodly amounts of wine and support this community. read more

I am honestly sad It took me this long to finally try gringo's taco truck. The service was fast and very friendly. I had a meatless breakfast burrito. It was amazing and the taco truck is in this adorable little plaza area with heated indoor seating an open fire pit outside and lots of other trucks available as well. Stop by you will not regret it. read more

Fish tacos were really great. Guacamole was great. The quesadilla was so greasy that we threw it away. Dripping with grease. Wait was very long... and I had thought, "dash over to the food trucks for quick take-out before we hit the road." Not. I would go back for the fish tacos, though. Was in town for NYE and stopped here for lunch. It was located on a little food truck corner with a few different options. This was the only food truck that had a line so we took that as our sign to order. Owner was extremely friendly and patient as we decided on our order. My partner and I love coming here, I always get a quesadilla and beans - tasty and large portioned meal for me! My partner gets the fish tacos and veggie tacos and enjoys the flavors (definitely not too spicy). The truck is parked at The Yard which has developed into a really enjoyable place to eat with umbrella covered tables (some uncovered), misters and newly planted trees that will eventually offer more shade. Food was mid. Hours are ridiculous. Went 3 times previously and closed everytime. They do not uphold to their business hours as posted on truck. I went before 5 on a Friday around 4:15 and they were closed. Gave a typical bs reason for closing early, spoke to the other OPEN venders and said it happens all the time. To say the least, Not impressed. And not worth the money for the grease on the tacos. Fish taco was good. And the beef, Tough! carnitas greasy as hell! read more

Seriously the best taco I have ever had! The seasoning on the Barbacoa is outrageous. The burritos are massive.

All were great and came with two corn tortillas each, plus a side of chips and some excellent homemade salsa that had a kick. I also had a bit of the green chili, lime, tomatillo salsa which was excellent. Great value for $9 and the best tacos I have had in Prescott. We came to Prescott to visit the in-laws. While down town we decided to try Gringos Taco shop for lunch. Everything was amazing. Between the meat eaters and vegetarians we all enjoyed our food. I love mexican food, and have eaten more than my share in cities all over. Just had lunch at Gringo's today. We decided to try it because it was a beautiful day and we wanted to eat outside for taco Tuesday. What a nice surprise!! My wife had the Mahi Mahi tacos, I had a barbacoa taco and a carnitas quesadilla and everything was just terrific. I forgot to order guacamole, but was happy to see that it came with the quesadilla. Everything was very fresh, and it all just tasted excellent. Places really have to impress me to motivate me to spend time writing a review, and this place did impress me. I have lived in Prescott since Hugo's restaurant (next door) closed. That WAS my all things Mexican food Taco place. Since Gringo's Taco Truck set up in the lot across from the Farm Provisions it is now one MY favorite places. Highly recommend the huge burritos and wonderfully tasting Huevos Rancheros and Street Tacos. Get there early as they sometimes run out of some of their chicken or carnitas meats closer to 3pm. Better yet, Use the Yelp add and ORDER AHEAD of time as everything is cooked and the wait can be 15-20 mins if they are busy. I go there often enough that I can just wait in my car and the food gets delivered to me in the parking lot. :) No Taco Tuesday specials, just Great Food! read more

The only authentic Mexican food in Prescott. This former executive chef retired to do his own thing and started Gringo's Taco food truck. It has a limited menu featuring street-style tacos but everything on it is truly fabulous. The chicken, beef, and pork are all delectable and his salsas superbly flavorful. He and his wife operate the truck and are truly delightful people. If you want a break from the institutional Mexican food served most places, or you just want great street tacos this is a must-do dining experience. read more

This is truly something special! I would drive from Chino to eat here. Food with love in it. Every flavor is well balanced, from the salsa to depth of flavor in the different meats.
