My husband and I had heard that this restaurant was like having dinner in the home of a Mexican woman. We were picturing something small and intimate run solo by Adriana. We found it to be a fairly large bustling restaurant with wait staff. Adriana does come and take your order. She successfully scared us of the mole which she said she doesn't like and didn't know the ingredients of (probably from a jar or mix). We ended up getting a Chimichanga and the Enchiladas, both with green sauce (lard free and vegetarian). Beans are lard free and vegetarian too. The chimichanga was fried really well. We got vegetables for the fillings. Everything was delicious and we would go back if in the area. I'd probably get the chimichanga with the green sauce on the side next time to keep it crunchy as I eat it. I wish it was a bit more clear what all the vegan options she has available are (when asked she said she can make whatever we want but it would be helpful to know what all the options are that they have for vegan sauces / fillings etc ) but we really liked what we got and were happy with our visit! The green chili sauce was delicious. I believe she also suggested vegan potato tacos. My general rating system: 1 star: I would stay away 2 stars: Has some good things about it but I generally don't recommend. 3 stars: Pretty good. I found another great Mexican restaurant in Cottonwood. As usual, I like to try a place more than once before I write a review. First off, the owner is who served me both times and is very friendly. The first time I got the pork chile verde burrito, which was excellent. Today I got a chili relleno and enchilada combo plate. Again, excellent. They also have some of the best salsa I've had in a while. The inside is cozy, but they also have a covered outside area to sit when the weather is nice. Very comfortable. This is a small local restaurant. The place wasn't very busy for six o'clock. Walking to the back door, I spotted several small items the manager had brought back from Mexico on display. We were seated outside on the back patio. I had my little dog. There were about four other people who brought their pups as well. The chips and salsa were good, and we both enjoyed our entrées. The weather was not too cool or too warm. The service was good, and the prices were reasonable. I would recommend popping in, and if you bring your pup, you're always welcome on the back patio. read more

We first went to Adriana's a few years ago while visiting the Sedona area. It was delicious! With this in mind, we went back again this week. It was still delicious! Once again this business does not disappoint. Our service was incredible. Once walk into the door they treat you like family with welcoming arms. The water is clean and crisp and our waitress made sure our glasses stayed full. The chips and salsa were hot, fresh and flavorful. The horchata was so smooth, packed with flavor, like a desert before the main meal. Once again we had to order the carnitas burrito w/ green sauce and also the pastor burrito w/ green sauce. I was blown away AGAIN! The owners son made our food and he did an astounding job. The ambiance is comforting with colorful walls and gentle music. Waited a whole year to get back here and it did not disappoint. Everything we got was amazing. I could live on the chips & salsa alone, and Im a bit of a salsa snob. Carnitas burrito was generously stuffed with tender carnitas and guacamole and topped with a tangy, slightly spicy green sauce. Even the most simple dish - bean and cheese burrito covered in enchilada sauce was really flavorful and satisfying. Don't miss the flan. Adriana gets super creative with her flavors. Adriana's is the best place in northern Arizona to find delicious, classic Mexican food, prepared with love for the cuisine and the customers. The moment you step inside the door, you're assured of a warm welcome to this family-run business. This place deserves 5 stars, probably the best salsa and chicken fajitas I've ever had. Margarita was very good a tad spicy for me (I still could drink it though) but Adriana was so helpful on menu advice and warned me before hand so can't fault them. The food was delicious and they are so accommodating of our two medium sized dogs. They have a big patio for them and water was offered as well. We just moved to Clarkdale so we've been trying lots of restaurants. This place is big with a big patio and parking on the side street. Chips and salsa were great. Service was excellent. I got chicken fajitas, they were just ok. Husband got enchilada plate and they were excellent. We will definitely be back - will probably try something different - I like fajitas that come out on a hot skillet - just my preference - not a dig on this place. This is a family owned restaurant, with reasonable pricing, excellent service and great food. The Carnitas Plater was recommended. The pork was very tender, served with rice, beans, a large portion of carnitas and your choice of corn or flour tortillas. The added guacamole side added a tasty dimension as I constructed several small burritos with the dish. No room for desert, however, had my eye on the peanut butter flan. My husband had a chicken chimichanga and I had pollo fundito I asked that they be fried crispy but they weren't. They had lots of white meat chicken but were bland and had no flavor. My pollo had cream cheese sauce and it too was bland . No jaelepeno to give it some zip. The rice was dry and a little undercooked. The salsa was underwhelming. Wow!! Eating at Adriana's was a very satisfying experience. Upon arrival we were greeted very kindly by our server Adriana, the owner. Adriana was incredibly attentive to all questions that we had about the menu as well as suggesting her favorite dishes. Adriana was very accommodating to the customizations that I wanted to my dish and even encouraged them saying "honey I can make anything you want." The food that was served was some of the best Mexican food that I have had...and I live in Phoenix. BONUS: On top of all this, her business was very accommodating to me bringing my dog. She brought out a bowl of ice water for my pup and commented about how cute she was. We tried this place based on a friend's recommendation. She raved about the owner and we couldn't pass up meeting her. We walked in and were immediately greeted by Adriana. She was so friendly and greeted us with a big smile. The restaurant was set up with social distancing between tables and the staff had masks on due to the pandemic. The service was prompt and she even recommended an off the menu plate for my friend who just told her she wanted spicy pork. We were quickly given chips and two cups of salsa. I ordered the Carnitas con Crema. It came with rice, beans, and mini flour tortillas. My first bite was a ball of fire, due to the jalapenos in the mix. I asked Adriana for a side of sour cream to try to neutralize the spiciness of the dish. That seemed to work as long as I picked through and removed the fresh-cut jalapenos also. I'm sure this dish would have been great if I wasn't such a wimp with my spice tolerance level. Adriana offered to make me something else, but I chose to keep the dish and just add the sour cream. I think if I return again when visiting the area, I will order the spinach enchiladas, which looked good on the menu. read more

Decent tacos, not anything over the top. Although I will say I'm very picky about my tacos and the quality of the meat/salsa. Meat was on the drier side and salsa was slightly watery. Wasn't thrilled that when I asked for salsa I ended up getting and paying for chips and salsa.. which I didn't realize until I opened my order at home. The service is awesome. Adriana doesn't even bring us menus anymore because she knows already what we want. And if we want something different she pretty much knows exactly what to bring us. It's a family run business and everyone does a fantastic job, it makes you want to come back again and again! I highly recommend this place if you like to eat Mexican food.
