Had 3 tacos on Taco Tuesday, the pork green chili, chicken, and shrimp. The shrimp was my favorite. It was spiced and grilled and came with a mango salsa, very tasty. The shrimp taco is normally in a flour tortilla but I had corn to keep it gluten free. Their corn tortillas are lightly fried, which was ok but I prefer soft corn tortillas. The pork meat was nicely cooked but a bit bland in flavor, same with the chicken thus the 4 stars. Both were fresh tasting and the homemade roasted red salsa was very good. They had 4 different homemade salsas. I will definitely go back but will skip the chicken taco, or perhaps try it with one of the other salsas to spice it up. read more

They are still working their soft opening, so you get a paper check and pay upfront, NO BIG DEAL. The staff couldn't have been more pleasant and hustling. Friday night was packed, but the drinks came right away and the food was amazing!! The 3 of us had burgers cooked to our liking, and the 4th had the BBQ sampler platter and loved it. Open Thurs-Sunday 4-9pm. Well worth the trip. Only negative comment: need to install noise damping panels on the ceiling to help with the conversation levels. Seriously we eat here regularly and they have never disappointed! I have so many favorites including their burgers (and I don't usually like burgers!) The Ahi burrito, the crab stuffed avocado, and the mushroom and artichoke quesadilla are just a few of my favorites. I hope they open a restaurant soon! read more

After my Facebook feed started to fill up with images of the food and glowing reviews, I decided to stop by after my haircut at Founding Fathers. I'm very glad I did. This is, by far, the best food truck in this area and one of the better food trucks eaten at in general. The menu is sizable, but mostly uses the same proteins in different dishes which a big plus in my opinion. All the benefits of the care and attention of a small menu with the variety of a big menu. I ordered The Toucan Burrito (a shrimp burrito). First of all, ordering seafood in Prescott is a bold move (feel free to validate my bravery). The shrimp was cooked perfectly and was lacking the usual landlocked fishy taste. What really got me about the burrito was that it was grilled with a cheese crisp on the side. Incredible. Not just because the taste and texture was phenomenal, but that attention to detail blew me away. Finding food like this in this area has proven to be an often disappointing challenge. So much so that it's surprising when I do come across it. Price is reasonable but on the higher end for this area. I think it's justified and would gladly pay it again. When you want extraordinary, superbly efficient, attendees to your party raving about the food presented, you go with The Hungry Badger Adventure! The reason it's called ADVENTURE is because the food is a real trip to joyful eating! Contacted Ryan Fosters catering crew by e-Mail months ahead and found an EXTENSIVE set of menu choices in each category from beef to chicken to vegan to gluten free! There were literally hundreds of combinations of entree plus one side! We went with 3 party choices of prime rib and potatoes, West Texas Brisket and green chili Mac and cheese, and baked chicken and mixed vegetables! It was hard to narrow down with great unique choices! We added a side salads to each meal. With covid still a concern to us since I am on chemo we asked for individually wrapped meals and salads! We had continued communication throughout the planning period and Ryan allowed changes as my group made changes to their individual choices down to the last two weeks! Due to chemo affecting my taste of food and dislike of rosemary, Ryan cooked the prime rib without rosemary but spiced enough to give it the perfect savory taste! It was exquisite! It was tender, moist, delicious and hot! We paired it with potato wedges and it was enough food for my very hungry husband after setting up the entire party on his own! Big portions in a aluminum pan, covered securely with a cardboard circle keeping juices in and meal hot! Perfect! The moist and tender chicken breast was so big jokes were made about not wanting to meet this chicken who had this size breast in a dark alley! It was huge but participants loved it because they were staying at Airbnb's and hotels and saved it! They saved some of the extra salads and made a cold lunch the next day! They said it was still a delight! But truth be told the salads were so colorful and filled with goodies and an orchid nobody wanted to eat this work of art! Now for the winning prize...it goes to West Texas Brisket and green chili Mac and cheese! There were people who raved about the brisket all night long! It was flavorful, full of spice and met high expectations and tastes people expect with terrific brisket! It checked all the boxes! The Mac and cheese was spicy and thrilled my hardier eaters! It was more than enough food even for your biggest eaters! Ryan brought everything very hot, very organized, on time and even brought steak knives for the prime rib! He brought alternate salad dressings and salt and pepper! He saw I was struggling having not calculated enough beer and ran out and got some for me! With chemo brain you easily mess up but Ryan was not going to let anything ruin this party! These meals were in the $20-25 per person range but should be at the $35. per plate range! The quality of meat and veggies, the moist and tender meat, the huge options available, the West Texas brisket checking all the boxes and the delivery puts it far above $25! I provided pretty place settings and people transferred what they wanted out of the aluminum container onto the plate I provided making it a bit more formal. But I giggled as I saw them taste the outstanding food and their enthusiasm enjoying the food took over so they just kept eating out of the container cause it was so good! Thank you to Ryan and his crew for the tremendously successful dinner! I am not exaggerating when I say my guests RAVED about the food all through the party! Everything on the menu has its own great flavor and style! The burgers are HUGE and cooked to the desired temp perfectly AND with great flavor! I would give 5 stars if the gal taking the orders didn't have the personality of a rattlesnake. Yikes! I didn't know I was so bothersome just by ordering and paying. Epic. The mahi mahi tacos were out of this world, the mango pico along with the salsas gave it a sweet and spicy bite. The crab stuffed avocados are another big hit, and I got sold on the pulled pork sandwich which exceeded its description. You can tell they really care about their creations. The wedge fries were brilliant, the cut used really creates an ideal scenario for optimum balance of crispy to soft potato. Best wedges ever. Mediocre food with no style. Restaurant prices with picnic quality. Comes with nothing, not even chips. You put your ketchup, mustard and mayo packets on yourself . Expensive. Lady taking my order is nice but doesn't know anything about the food, like what comes on the tacos or if the portobello is the patty or an addition. Very slow wait. Had to go back and ask for swiss cheese that was supposed to come grilled onto the burger, so they gave me a cold slice of cheese on the side. My brother's Philly cheesesteak was cold because they forgot to call his order. Bummer cuz Founding Father's where it's located is a great spot. The menu has potential, but I definitely think they should step it up. Left still hungry and disappointed. read more
