went to get my denali yukon fixed amazing service. the person i believe his name was Chris was incredibly nice and service was super quick and they surprisingly do have military discount. they did everything i asked them too no questions asked. they fixed my seized calipers (and gave me black ones which look really nice with my car) balanced my tires and gave me oil and a alignment. im definitely coming back here next time my car has a problem. 10/10 read more

I had an appointment for an oil change on 6/22/24 at 11am in Troy Ohio. I left the building at 130pm without my vehicle being services. This is the most "PISS POOR" customer service I have ever received. I know that an oil change isn't "big bucks" but WTF ever happened to customer service. This place can suck a big fat donkey d@@K! I have been coming to Grismer for years for oil changes and other auto maintenance. The staff has always been friendly, I've never seen any of the people that work there make it noticeable if they're having a bad day. I appreciate that they take the time to explain any problems in a way that I can understand and I never have felt that I was being taken advantage of. Took my husbands and my car in for an oil change. When we picked up the cars I was given a receipt for the oil changes. There was other writing on the receipt.. but nothing was mentioned by Keith (store manager) that there other items on the receipt that needed attention. Major things such as Gas leak... loose tie rod.. etc that would render both cars a danger to drive. When I got home I read my copy and called him. I talked to Keith -the manager- and he said yes.. cars shouldn't be driven and quoted me $1500 for both with an " it will probably be more". I immediately took the car to Hendricks for a second opinion. they kept the car to look at all the issues... there weren't any. No gas leak..etc I stopped at Grismer on the way home to express my disappointment. i told him we would not be back. His comment was " i hope you don't burn . I have always had a good experience at Grismer Tire. This morning I had the opportunity to witness a conversation between the customer service representative and a customer. The customer requested a service provided by Grismer Tire. After an inspection, it was determined the car needed more than the customer asked for. Much to my surprise, the recommended service was not something Grismer provides and the customer was told, they were more than happy to take care of the initial request, but it wouldn't fix the problem. It is refreshing to see a business putting the customer's best interest first instead of just making a sale. read more

We needed a tire plugged & tire rotation for an older car our teenage son drives. They provided updates during the short process & gave options for service. A couple tire sensors also needed replaced. One week later another plug was needed for a separate incident that they kindly repaired free of charge. Overall efficiency and cost were great! We've been taking our cars for service here for a few years, had been satisfied with service up until recently. One of our vehicles needed a simple repair but was presented a large estimate to have the repair completed. When I looked at the estimate I noticed a number of things unrelated to what needed done on the itemization, approximately $400 more. I took the car up the road and told the mechanic what I wanted fixed, miraculously it was repaired for 30 percent of what Grismer had wanted, no mention of need for other unrelated parts/services. I guess we won't be going back there again. read more

I went to Grismer on Woodman Dr. in Dayton around six years ago to get a tire repaired and was told i need several hundred dollars worth of other repairs needed. Today i live in troy and tried out Grismer auto repair here just to get an oil change. A few minutes later the manager asked me to come with him and while the hood was up he said that i needed a lower radiator hose and reached over and grabbed while pulling on it pretty damn hard probably hoping it would bust. That incident happened about 3 1/2 years ago and still have the same radiator hose on it. If you go to Grismer you have more money than sense. read more

I have been a customer for over 10 years and can not say any thing bad about Grismer Tire. Mechanics are very professional and counter staff is very good at explaining any problems. They do go over your car and check for problems which is good and also give you items that need to be worked on in the future. I read the other reviews and seen negative items ther and I believe the company does there job very well! The consumer need to understand the importance of maintenance in order for them to keep large ticket items from creeping up on them! read more

I'd agree with prior review. This place is a classic up sell and screw the naive customer. I am not a naive customer but due to being very busy, had to leave my wife to deal with pulsing brakes. Told her it is 99% likely it is pulsing off the front rotors so she needs to get front rotors and pads replaced...also suggested ceramic pads. While Im working they talked her into changing the back brakes "that are worse" with crappy semimetallic pads at a total cost just over $400...with the $25 "coupon". They added a $21 shop supplies charge for the brake and rotor job, that's a whole lot of paper towels and brake cleaner! The result: quality and intensity of pulse unchanged. Didn't mention "they forgot something" so my wife had to return yet again after leaving due to a scraping noise. Bottom line, you likely will get a bumbling mechanic crew and dishonest upselling when you go to Grismer. Got front rotors and ceramic pads for just over $250 since at a smaller shop. We have free lifetime tire rotation and won't go back..afraid of sabotage to make sure customer comes back. read more

I went in for an oil change, they ended up "changing" my brakes and rotors.My car was squeaking and when I brought it into the dealership they said my brakes were switched and my fix box was outdated and was on on wrong as well. AFTER Grismer charged me and arm and a leg for something that they messed up, I will never go there again. read more

I went into Grismer Tire here in Troy with a friend to keep her company while, she had new tires put on her vehicle. She received free oil changes and an alignment check with her tires; they informed her that the whole process could take up to 2 hours so, we weren't really excited about waiting at a tire shop for that long but, it needed done. To much of our surprise , the waiting area and bathroom was very clean and comfortable-fresh coffee too! There is a window in the the waiting area to the shop and it was nice to see how the mechanic took his time and looked over her car-you could tell this young man had respect! The staff was a joy to be around-friendly and down to earth-we didn't understand anything about the alignment and they took the time to explain it in a language that we understood. The biggest praise from us was their honesty! They could've told us the alignment was out and we wouldn't have known any better but, they took the time to explain it and better yet the alignment was good! They got the job done quicker than originally quoted and our overall experience was great; couldn't be happier! read more
