When we arrived at the house, the seller didn't have the power or heat on, so Jay recommended we reschedule so he could do a thorough inspection. Once all the power and heat was turned on, Jay went above and beyond going through all the parts of the house. He pointed out everything they needed to repaired and gave rough estimates and referrals throughout the house. The thing that really stood out though was that Jay was straightforward and honest in his assessment. I work on a lot of houses, so all the figures he gave for estimates were pretty much in line with what I would expect. Not too high, like he was selling me on a repair I didn't need. But also not underselling the cost of what needed to get done. To me, there's nothing more valuable then getting accurate information. Don't try and overinflate or udnerflate what costs will be. Just say it like it is and let me decide how to proceed. I will absolutely be using 4 Seasons for future Home Inspection work and I highly recommend them to anyone who needs a home assessed.

However I didn't hire him to be my friend, I hired him to inspect my house. Most of the inspection was great, but some things were completely wrong or missing. The report states that the venting above the gas stove was working properly but there is no vent at all there, and that has been an ongoing issue in my house. The report also states that the water dispenser in the fridge was working normally but there is not even a water line connected to the refrigerator. I had read really good reviews about this business, so I had hoped for the same. Unfortunately it was a sub par inspection.

Nor did I ever talk to the inspector before this week when i inquired about one particular item damaged that was not listed. It's poor communication and poor inspection on their behalf and they will not take any responsibility for their actions. I do not recommend using this company after paying 550 out of pocket for this it was not worth it. His supervisor was not understanding either. They feel they are not liable for items missed. Keep in mind the inspector was out here for 3 hours the first time and an hour the second time for the re-inspection and did not catch the issue either time and it is very obvious where it is located.
