After the class was over, Jimmy met with me to go over packages while he allowed my children some extra time during the open play. Jimmy was extremely nice and my children had a lot of fun! However, I felt the price didn't quite match the quality. The facilities appeared pretty run down. It seems this was an old gym they took over. If not, perhaps it hasn't been kept up as well as it could have. There is NO ac and it doesn't exactly smell fresh, though I understand as it's hot and people are running around. I was considering the open play package as I felt it was a reasonable price, but for only one hour a day, it wasn't worth it. If you do decide to more forward, I recommend scheduling the classes right before an open play so your child has more time. But for the price, personally I would expect nicer/cleaner facilities.

Right now, this place feels like it needs attention, maintenance, and pride of ownership. With some deep cleaning, repairs, and regular upkeep, it could easily become a wonderful community space again.

I observed Tommy coach a group of older elementary students on Thursday evening and he not only had excellent control of a group of 6 kids, he also designed exercises and courses that were not only well thought out they were effective in keeping kids engaged and on task. On the following Saturday I brought my 6 year old grand son to his level two ninja class where Tommy was his coach. My grandson was feeling nervous but Tommy quickly and effectively encouraged him to do his best in all he did. Tommy devised back to back activities to not only challenge my grandson but also encourage and develop needed skills for my grandson to continue to advance in his Ninja training. I appreciate the time Tommy took to reassure my grandson and help him gain confidence. As a teacher, I'm well aware that not all coaches are able to manage a group of children and I'm grateful KidWonder has found an excellent coach like Tommy!

The classes are held in a colorful, carpeted studio and led by warm and welcoming teachers, many of whom have some form of early education training or experience teaching or working with children in their fulltime jobs. The program at Nightingale has been running for over 20 years, and Jennifer has it dialed to perfection. Each 8-week session has its own theme ("Hooray for the Holidays"; "Mother Goose Rock & Rhyme"; "Wonderful World of Music" to name a few) and its own theme-related songs, but the rhythm of the classes is consistent from week to week and session to session, providing an ideal environment for this tender age whose brains thrive on routine. The school also has an incredibly generous makeup policy to allow for any planned family vacations or unplanned family illnesses, and visiting family members and friends are always welcomed to watch or participate in class. My daughter attended her first Nightingale Music session when she was just 7 months old, and has been consistently enrolled since she was about 14 months. Now at two and a half, she can sing her solfege scale on pitch, and understands the fundamentals of rhythm, tempo, and dynamics. She stops and dances whenever we hear music out in the world (or asks me to play music on my phone so she can dance in our backyard), and sings constantly. She's made friends with some of the other kids in her cohort, imprinted onto a few of her teachers, and Jennifer has made us feel like part of a larger Nightingale family from the very start. As a 70% SAHM, I've tried out a lot of Mommy-and-Me type classes around San Diego, but Nightingale is the one that we've stuck with, and the one that I would most recommend.

It's been a while since my original review, and coming back here recently felt incredibly…read morenostalgic. Over 10 years ago, I brought my son Brody here to learn how to swim. Fast forward to today, and he's now a swim coach here and absolutely loves it. There's something really special about seeing things come full circle. He remembered his experience here so fondly that he decided to apply for a job, and now he's thriving in a place that once helped him grow and build confidence in the water. The environment here has always been welcoming and family-focused, and it's clear they continue to create positive experiences for both kids and staff. They're lucky to have Brody, and he's certainly lucky to be part of such a great team. I still highly recommend the noon and swim lessons...especially with Coach Brody!!!

Depending on your kids age, it is a 45 min - 1 hour work out for kids ages 5+. One of my boys has a fear of heights and after a couple classes was jumping off mats stacked close to 5 feet high facing forward, landing on his feet and then doing a forward roll.I can literally see the difference in my kids abilities inside the class and outside. hav had some true "Mommy Moments" watching my kids progress. I have seen more here than in other classes they have been in for a while including gymnastics and swimming. The instructions are incredibly patient and helpful. They give kids the tools and motivation to succeed. Life skills that are hard to teach at any age! If you don't know what Parkour is - think urban gymnastics.

There are usually two coaches and that is very helpful. What I liked about the way the class was organized was that the coaches kept the kids moving. Once the class started it was nonstop for the length of the class. My son loved it and asked if he could come again tomorrow. The owners are friendly and respond quickly to email questions. My son has taken classes for about a month and is always excited when it's Wednesday because he knows he has parkour after school.

I came for the workout but ended up finding SO much more than that- a welcoming community, supportive teachers, lifelong friends, and my passion for dance has been re-ignited. Larisa plans so many fun events to showcase our hard work. There is something for everyone! "Vaudeville Fever" cabaret shows, three recitals each year, holiday parades, performances on stage at Disneyland, Fringe Festival/ Taptastic shows, community events, and so much more. There is never any pressure to participate in the recitals. However, if we end up in a class together I might try to pressure you into it because a lot of people end up discovering how much fun it is to perform on stage! All of the teachers have their unique styles and their classes are all so much fun. I always leave feeling inspired and energized! The unlimited package is a great option if you want to try a variety of tap and other styles of dance classes. I take ballet, tap (technique, broadway, and cardio tap), and sometimes drop in for jazz. $600 for a 16-week session and I took about 150 classes- what a deal! They also allow people to pay for one class at a time, or packages of 4+ classes to use throughout the session. Also you can rent tap shoes for just $3! I did that for my first class and then immediately went home and ordered a pair of my own since I could feel in my bones that this was going to become a big part of my life again (after taking 20 years off from dance). I could go on about how much I love Tap Fever. Being part of this community has truly changed my life and I am so thankful to Larisa, Diane, Chantal, Chelsea, Andrea, and Britt for keeping the classes fun, challenging, and inspiring! You can tell you all pour your hearts and souls into teaching dance! I highly recommend Tap Fever to anyone of any age and any abilities! Teachers are all more than willing to work with you and offer modifications that you might find helpful. No worries if you have never put tap shoes before. My dad came to a cardio tap class and it was his first time wearing tap shoes. He did a great job and was smiling the whole time!
