If it wasn't for the good customer service from our server it would be a 2. Ive been looking forward to trying this place out so I took my mom and family for a birthday breakfast. There's some pros and cons. Food: Pros- chicken and sides was good. The waffle was also flavorful. Cons-I ordered a very basic egg and grit breakfast and my meal came out about 20minutes+ after everyone else's. When it came out the eggs were runny and the grits were not good. I ended up not eating my breakfast. Its sad that this is a breakfast spot yet those of use who ordered breakfast meals did not enjoy or eat our food. Also the bar took 30 minutes to bring our drinks and they were pretty much juice yet $15 with fees for a drink. Unfortunately, the entire trip was underwhelming. Sylviana M was our server and she did NOT disappoint. She was able to recite the restaurant's favorite menu items as well as drinks specials and fan favorites. We requested to be seated outside because they have a nice seating area-but the wind picked up and Sylviana seen my face and asked would I prefer inside (which I did) and I told her I did. She sat us promptly and the great service began. We ordered catfish and grits which was very filling, wholesome and superb. For the drinks I had a rum punch type of mimosa, very good and fruity but not too sweet. My friend ordered a peach mimosa. Everything was so good!!! The fish was fried hard like I like it and gits were cheesy and creamy like they were made at home. We tried to tackle the whole fried fish and grits plate and we failed horribly. Failed so bad, I'm the midst of working tables, taking orders and catering to seated patrons, Sylviana noticed us pushing the food around the plate and she popped up with a box. First time at this establishment, food was declined, I ordered the jerk shrimp and grits. Our party of three loved everything we ordered. We joined the wait list online, my friend arrived first and was told they couldn't like my name. I arrived about 10 mins later and was informed that the list " wasn't really a list" ‍, the hostess sat us and no one came to our table me for at least 10 minutes, while the other table was being served we ask that server if they knew who our server was and she was kind enough to just take out order. I ordered through GrubHub and my food was prepared fairly quickly and arrived warm. I was really craving biscuits and gravy - my dish was served with two biscuits and their house made gravy. I was expecting a peppery gravy but this was a bit different and had bell peppers in it. It tasted okay and wasn't my favorite. Next time, I will try their chicken gravy.
