Sylviana M was our server and she did NOT disappoint. She was able to recite the restaurant's favorite menu items as well as drinks specials and fan favorites. We requested to be seated outside because they have a nice seating area-but the wind picked up and Sylviana seen my face and asked would I prefer inside (which I did) and I told her I did. She sat us promptly and the great service began. We ordered catfish and grits which was very filling, wholesome and superb. For the drinks I had a rum punch type of mimosa, very good and fruity but not too sweet. My friend ordered a peach mimosa. Everything was so good!!! The fish was fried hard like I like it and gits were cheesy and creamy like they were made at home. We tried to tackle the whole fried fish and grits plate and we failed horribly. Failed so bad, I'm the midst of working tables, taking orders and catering to seated patrons, Sylviana noticed us pushing the food around the plate and she popped up with a box. First time at this establishment, food was declined, I ordered the jerk shrimp and grits. Our party of three loved everything we ordered. We joined the wait list online, my friend arrived first and was told they couldn't like my name. I arrived about 10 mins later and was informed that the list " wasn't really a list" ‍, the hostess sat us and no one came to our table me for at least 10 minutes, while the other table was being served we ask that server if they knew who our server was and she was kind enough to just take out order. The waitress recommended the catfish and grits, and I confirm it was very tasty, especially the sauce it comes with. I ate the whole thing in one sitting, and I generally try not to do that.... My friend got the crab cake benedict on a biscuit, and that biscuit was incredibly soft. I tried a bit, and I really enjoyed it. The waitress and all were very very nice, but my eggs came out raw and I of course said something then the cook came out saying it was supposed to look like that which I then explained to her how when the white in an egg is still transparent that it's still raw, they then bring a 2nd egg which comes raw but at that point I didn't want to say anything. read more

Gritz & Eggs was pretty good. I ordered the eggs Benedict and apparently the chef was struggling to make the poached egg so they asked if over easy was okay. The taste of the biscuit was amazing; however the fried chicken breast on the biscuit was extremely overcooked and unseasoned. The scrambled cheese egg on the biscuit was good as well. I was able to remove the chicken and have a meal with the biscuit and egg. 7.5/10 Home fries were a little hard 8/10 Wife's order: French toast & eggs w 3 fried chicken wings French toast: 10/10 (without syrup, it was missing from order) Eggs & grits: 9/10 little salt and pepper needed. I was genuinely concerned... until I tried it and almost had to pull over emotionally. Our server, Ki (shoutout to them!), was an absolute legend.
