Pretty good coffee and hot chocolate but just good not great. We were at Discovery Green and saw their stand. The ice skating there put us in a warm drink mood. My husband got a coffee and it was fine but I don't drink coffee, so I ordered a hot chocolate with extra chocolate. Even with the extra chocolate, it was very watery in taste. I was surprised at how lacking in flavor and sweetness it was. It was nice to have this option instead of the typical Disco Green options, but I don't think I'll be getting the boring hot chocolate again.

A niche in the Farmer's markets layout, it cannot hide the sweet smell of Kenyan and Mexican Chiapas coffee. Grizzaffi Coffee Catering has always been available at the Farmer's markets and weekends at Discovery Green since I tasted their iced white mocha latte last year. Mexican Chiapas freshly brewed coffee creeps through the Saturday Morning Farmer's Market on Eastside & Richmond. As the weather warms up, the large white fridge housing Trentino's Gelato stands next to their espresso machine. Trying an Affogato (gelato drowned in espresso) is a must! Most of their products are made with local ingredients and local vendor's products. Of course, the only local coffee beans one can find in the USA are from Hawaii due to climate. However, local can mean roasters as well. Fontana Coffee Beans are fair trade and sometimes are invited out on Sunday's Farmer's Market on Suffolk for live demonstrations with Grizzaffi Coffee. Hearing the crackling of coffee beans when ordering a dirty chai warms the soul for another world from Starbuck's overpriced lattes. My three dollars are worth a vast amount of choices. A regular latte with a flavor shot is only three bucks. With several flavor combinations, one cannot miss this opportunity. I recommend drinking here when visiting the market anytime!

Super coffee service. Had some fresh brewed goodness at an event today at the Houston Technology Center.

It was very exciting to try this ice cream spot and it did not disappoint. I was more creative than usual to try something new and it was perfect. The chain is headed by a three Michelin star chef Jordi Roca who is believed by some to be one of the best pastry chefs in the world. While this is not necessarily pastry, I wanted to see what he would do with desserts. When you first step in, there is definitely a childlike whimsy to the decor of the place. They have plenty of seats inside as well as outside. I was hoping to see unique flavors, but I did like the few flavors they did sample. Beyond the soft serve gelato, they do have coffee and few prepackaged sweets to buy. When you order, you do get the soft serve gelato with unlimited toppings, which I wish I knew that so I could better select the combination. I did get mango passionfruit (4,5/5) which was super smooth and creamy with the right amount of tartness from the passionfruit and sweetness from mango. The fruits and nuts I got to add were a nice combination. My favorite was the nutella drizzle on top... smooth with little crunchy pieces. My only complaint was the price... While I did enjoy it, I am not sure it was worth the cost... The service was pretty friendly. Located in the Uptown Park plaza, there was parking readily available when I went on a weekday, but could vary depending on how the plaza gets. Overall, Rocambolesc offers great soft serve gelato with unlimited toppings but may be reserved for a special occassion.

BEST gelato I've had in Houston!…read more There's a wide array of Asian-inspired flavors such as black sesame, taro, and Vietnamese coffee. They have lots of unique flavors I haven't seen anywhere else, such as goat cheese with sage oil and sea salt, and my personal favorite, SWEET CORN WITH RICOTTA! Be sure to sample it if it's in rotation, it tastes just like movie theater popcorn! The workers are very patient and accommodating, I probably asked for a sample of every flavor that was available! There's not too much seating, definitely more of a grab and go unless you have less than 6-7 people in your group! Note to the owner: If you see this, PLEASE put pandan, pandan coconut, or pandan matcha in rotation!

According to a sign in the store, the gelato is made in house, which is cool. There were lots of unique flavors and I should have taken a picture of the case, but alas I did not. They offered samples and Mark sampled the Lemon Pie (or a similar name) and loved it. He ordered two scoops - one lemon and one coffee. I tried both and WOW, the lemon was fantastic! I ordered one scoop of Tiramisu, which included alcohol. I almost passed on it because we don't drink, but I figured it couldn't be any stronger than 'near beer'. I'm glad I got the Tiramisu. It was delicious. I would never suspect there was alcohol in it. Because we would be heading home after, we decided to have a seat and eat it in the shop, which is very clean and cute. There are three two-seat tables in the shop (it's small), so be aware. There are a few tables out front. There's nothing not to like here. I want to try every flavor! It was absolutely delicious!
