I recently visited this store for the first time on a weekend night, and found it to be clean, well-stocked, with a wide selection of goods to choose from. Probably one of the biggest selections in the area. The parking lot is a bit small but since I arrived in the evening, I had no issue finding parking. Mirabelle was my cashier, she was very kind and friendly. Give her a raise because she really does have a kind soul and does a great job. I would visit this Grocery Outlet again in the future when I'm in the area. Too many good items to pass up.

It's the @light_skin_dragon coming to you a couple of weeks ago. I came here on my lunch break to get some snacks from building houses. It is legit affordable prices and I loved it here. It's independently owned and the clerk was nice and approachable. I got some things to get me through the day. I'd say it's like a smart and final but not so reputable like their name. But I will definitely come back

The Altadena location is open! Help support Altadena businesses affected by the recent fires! This grocery outlet is well stocked, plenty of parking and friendly service. Some cool finds here like a scavenger hunt!

Came here to support them reopening after the fires. I've been to the Burbank, Arcadia and South Pasadena locations and this location is my favorite. They carry all the brands I love. Ended up buying a lot more than I planned to

Dedicated parking, one for families and one for veterans.

Every thing about this store is a good thing. I started following the posts from the owner on Facebook in March 2020. This was one of the first stores to offer senior shopping times. The owner had daily updates as to what supplies were available and what she was doing to promote COVID safety for her patrons and employees. In April 2020, when many products were in short supply, I went in looking for peanut butter. An employee took me right to the shelf and handed me the peanut butter. Something I haven't seen mentioned about this store is that they have dedicated parking spots for veterans and for families. I think that's a fantastic thing to do. Well done, Grocery Outlet!!

Supported our Altadena community before and after the fire. They are high up in the fire zone and have been a big help in our recovery.

But the elderly can't do that so it's why the lines are so long. Now here is the kicker. At the end of the checking line is a manager ...sometimes 2. A man and a woman. They are observing the long lines...counting something...just observing. It would help if THEY just go to the end of a long line and start bagging! See, that would be cool! You see you guys have not scheduled any baggers and the lines are so long they are down the aisles .. and you are just standing there? Of course they may say, well that's not my job. But that's the mentality that keeps things moving slow. It would be so nice if people just did what it takes to keep things moving. Either hire enough people OR get in there and start bagging! I remember back in the days there was a bagger at the end of each checkout aisle. A bagger and a casher! Those days are gone ...and most stores now see if they can get away with overworking the checker! Next thing you know they install self check outs! Rather than hire people and keep a system of people working they just get rid of people and have 1 person observing (like these managers were doing). What a world we are moving towards. But anyways that's what you see. I wish they would just hire bag boys and go back to the good ol days.

Est. back in 1936 and still going strong! Walked in this morning around 7:45AM and was greeted by 2 of their employees. They were very nice, kind and helpful. Even offered me a shopping cart to start my grocery shopping. They practically have everything from seafood, alcohol, sushi counter, to their deli/meat department, baked goods, along with fresh baked bread, canned and jarred foods, packaged pasta, beverages, hot cases; even a butcher that can cut and marinade your poultry according to your liking. I saw a Burrito Bar, (which was something new and interesting to me). They had fresh produce, party trays, dairy and a lot more. They have ample parking and street/metered parking too. They also have outdoor seating, if you choose to eat/drink your beverage, food outside. They do catering, pick up and delivery orders. Aisles were fully stocked and easy to navigate. It's a nice, CLEAN, big store with a lot of discounted items here and there. Which was nice. What I liked is that the manager was helping the cashiers, because they were very busy. That just shows that management cares about their employees, as well as the customers. I bought a few items practically from every department. They looked good and fresh. This store has you covered from A to Z! Thank you all, and everything starts from the manager. Good management will take you a long way.

Stop what you are doing and try to focus on customer service. I'm going elsewhere. The worst customer service is here at Stater Brothers. Do you not understand that the Eaton fire wiped a bunch of our homes off the map? Do better.

I've been coming to this Vallarta for a while, and while I really like many things about the store, the customer service at the service counter/booth has been extremely disappointing. I've gone to the counter/service booth on several occasions to cash a check or take care of other services, and the experience with the lady working there has consistently been unpleasant. She is a lady with blonde hair and always wears a mask covering. She comes across as extremely unfriendly and impatient, and it often feels like customers are bothering her simply by asking for assistance. What bothers me even more is that I've personally witnessed her speaking to other customers in a very rude and disrespectful manner while they are simply trying to get help. I've also seen her treat her own coworkers rudely when they come to the counter needing assistance. It's uncomfortable to stand in line and watch someone be spoken to that way. I understand that working with the public can be stressful, but basic courtesy and respect should still be expected when dealing with customers and coworkers. No one should feel like they are inconveniencing an employee by asking for a service that the store provides. With that said, I do want to give credit where it's deserved. Vallarta has some really good products and food. Their aguas frescas are delicious, and lately I've been getting their rotisserie chicken, which has been really good. The taqueria also serves fresh food, and I've generally had much better experiences with the employees in that department--they are friendly, helpful, and seem to genuinely care about providing good service. It's unfortunate that one person's attitude can make an otherwise good store such an unpleasant experience. I hope management takes customer service seriously, at the service booth because customers deserve to be treated with basic respect.
