I do almost all my shopping here. When i saw there was a turkey for 3.99 with a qualifying purchase. I went shopping. I spent over the minimum, and it was within the posted dates of the promotion. Nope. Employee tells me they don't have the turkeys and the manager says will call me to honor the deal. No call. I go back in 3 days later. Other employee says nope. Manager told them turkey had to be at the same time groceries were bought. I did nothing wrong, correct dates, bought the correct items. I am still shopping there but this really is bothering me. Where to start? I have been a customer now since 2015. In that time, I have seen a lot of changes at this G.O., not all of them for the best. The latest outrage is a quite common scam that this place pulls, where they advertise an item, or several desirable items at unbelievably low prices. So low in fact that the deals do not, in fact, exist except in the minds of the gullible consumers who read these weekly circulars and naively believe the ad copy. In addition, these nickle-and-dime scammers are in the habit of charging CRV on SNAP-eligible items, which are tax (and CRV is a tax) exempt. The sign outside your store states that G.O. "Loves its customers". If so, do better, or sell this place to someone who will respect the community. read more

Store is Absolutely disgusting, Was in there for about 5 minutes before a women off the street came in completely bottomless, touching all of the produce in the entrance, nothing was done until about 8 minutes of panic, i ended up accidentally spilling a bottle of wine afterwards and the owner Mike Luna, was a complete asshole about it, and kicked me out of frustration when i was trying to say it was an accident. Place is completely unhygienic and ran by an asshole, I wouldn't shop here, theres a winco, walmart, and costco in the area. I recommend shopping there read more

I've got stock in this company so I want everyone to shop there , naturally. Beyond that I shop there all the time. In fact I find such amazing deals I spend more than I should because I can't pass it up. I was a vegetarian for 6 years and I wish back then we had a grocery outlet as the vegetarian " meat substitutes" are vast in their freezer aisle. It is the nicest and most well-stocked GO we've been to. 3/4 of us are vegan and we were so excited by the huge selection of vegan options. Shopping here sucks, plain and simple. Reason 1: The staff is lousy. The cashiers seem to absolutely hate their job, and they convey that to you while checking. I understand working here can be stressful. Dealing with the public is hard. That is why I make sure I am polite, and I try to be an easy customer. However, I have been snapped at for asking basic questions, had one cashier roll her eyes at me when I got in line, and had another cashier watch me with an aggressive look on her face while I bagged my groceries. She had nobody else in line, and instead of helping me, she just gave me a really weird, hard stare the whole time. Creepy. Oh, speaking of CREEPY. The male staff in particular. They will go through aisles back and forth for no reason, staring at your body and making it really obvious. My boyfriend has wanted to punch the short guy in the hat for quite a while now. At first I thought he was loss prevention, but he watches all the wrong stuff. This shortie had better hope he never meets my boyfriend (or me) in a dark alley. Reason 2: The food is often expired or not fresh. I have been pissed off too many times for bringing home food that can't be eaten. Salads are spoiled in the center. Fruit is infested with flies. The staff is not paying enough attention to the fruit that is molding right out in the open! I have gotten sick from eating food here... one frozen entree I bought was nearly a year passed the expiration date. I only realized this after it was too late. Right on, because everyone loves nasty, expired food that makes them sick AND paying for it with their hard earned money. Reason 3: A bunch of weirdos shop/steal/hang out here. I actually like weirdos, they can be interesting and really awesome to meet sometimes. I'm talking about the kidnap-you-chain-you-up-in-the-basement type weirdos. I don't care how good this store's prices are... I'm not dealing with Buffalo Bill sniffing and snorting all the candles next to me. I'd rather just shop somewhere else entirely... but I must admit... they have a decent beer selection. So, come here for that. You'll need a drink after shopping here anyway. read more

I met a wonderful cashier who was looking out for my partner and I by following COVID-19 regulations. She was very sweet and I appreciated her service. I save a lot of money shopping here I'm thankful that they have a wide variety of organic and natural specialty items I am able to get huge bags of frozen organic fruit for a price that cannot be beat. EUREKA GROCERY OUTLET This place is going downhill. Went in to calm myself down. I do that shopping. ONLY to have them call a code of a shop lifter. I was so aphald, they were talking about me. Not only had I just spent almost $200's the week prior, but had a security guy standing at the counter, as I was checking out, looking at everything I had to purchase. I quickly Left the store and will never shop there again. The Manager's hair was greasy and so looking like he had just rolled out of the street. And Tiffany is so rude and not grocery outlet Customer service friendly. Something needs to change. I see less and less people shopping at eureka Grocery outlet and moving to McKinleyville and fortuna grocery outlet. Myself included. Such a good atmosphere for a person with obsessive compulsive disorder. I tend to straighten shelves, take along time shopping. I hate to return items when rushing. I love this store and my dream job when I retire. So many great bargains and a hidden vegan treasure trove. Lots of organic superfood supplement powders (acai, matcha, dragon fruit...), the same stuff that sells at the expensive "health" markets like Jimbo's, Whole Foods and Sprouts at rock bottom prices. This is also your cheap Kombucha headquarters, top brands like Health Ade, Brew Dr. and Kevita and hidden gems like vegan cheese and lots of snacks and vegan ice cream. Four stars for cheap booze alone. Who else would sell a mini keg for $7.99? Or a 1 litre bottle of Goldschlager for $14.99? Or a six pack of Cristal for $2.99? No one. That's why they exist. I shop at Grocery Outlet ALL THE TIME. Love it. I find organic foods, teas, healthy and cruelty-free soaps, and food staples and surprises that work with my vegan and low-budget diet. I've shopped the Eureka store ("canned foods") for 25 years. I'm glad that the check out counters are still staffed by people and NOT "self-serve." I would like the store to treat with dignity the people who may be wanting to panhandle outside the store or need to sit for a minute. Perhaps, Grocery Outlet could create some kind of donation situation for people who tell them they need something to eat. Sharing is healthy and good for everyone. I also hope Grocery Outlet will allow people to share money or groceries with folks who need it outside. Big ups for Grocery Outlet in Eureka. For the past four years, I was a regular customer at Grocery Outlet. The store either changed managers or owners but this store does not carry certain products. I went there recently looking for the large size bag of Frito Corn chips not the Frito Scoops. I asked a store employee if they carried the large bag of Frito Corn chips. He did not go and check to see if there were any in the stockroom. He was not helpful. The cashiers are not friendly and whenever I am shopping in the store, I am being followed and watched by store employees. I love GO in general I have shopped at one in every town I lived in. I shopped here loyally for a year or so, in the store about twice a week. It was smaller and less varietous then the other GO's but hey its a smaller market. I ran into trouble when they started checking receipts at the door. No establishment (unless its a private club like Costco) has the right to demand a receipt, they can only request. Every place I have shopped that asks for receipts understands this and accepts it when I decline. The first time I declined here I was chased down by an employee who harassed me as I loaded my car. The next time I was in there I spoke with one of the two owners, explained the problem and said I didn't expect that to happen again. About a month later, a different employee starts arguing with me when I exit, then she calls me an asshole. I called the owner who didn't seen to care. So I called corporate who referred me back to the owner. The owner called me back, still didn't see a problem with his illegal policy of harassment, and basically said get lost. read more

Probably the best deals in town. Curated mix of bachelor chow (frozen processed nuggets, etc.) and high-end goods (organic produce, pasture fed eggs/meat) with discounts. What is on the shelf is often dependent on what their buyers have been able to snap up so it is always a little adventure. The dairy selection is surprisingly good here - a mix of imports and domestic varieties of cheese alongside your typical Kraft cheese-like substances. Additional discounts on fresh and cured meats when they are about to expire - just make sure you cook it by the next day and enjoy the extra bucks in your wallet. FYI if there are two stickers on the product, you get double the discount! They also have jars of bulk spices such as garlic powder as well as a bagged selection of dried chiles. If you are willing to tailor your cooking around what is available here, you can save a ton. They have a great beer selection although I feel somewhat guilty when I've saved so much on my groceries that the 6 pack is 20% to 30% of the final total. Thankfully they have coolers with chilled beers so you can wash down that thought when I get home. Staff has always been friendly and willing to help out. read more

Worst customer service ever !! 1 cashier open and lines down the Isle!!! So I politely ask someone to get some more help . He happily says yes then is turned down but the only cashier .....no calls were made overhead for help !! Then after 4 more minutes 4 employees leisurely walk over and take positions from the back of the line ..... and now the middle ..... so now I have been standing her over 10 minutes when I asked for help !! I am a regular customer shopping at grocery outlet at least 3-4 times a week. I've always had a wonderful experience there and all of the cashiers are friendly and welcoming.. That is until this morning July 11, 2020 at approximately 8:30 a.m.. Let me say first of all that I spend a lot of money at Grocery Outlet because it's well priced and close to my home. Today was different. The cashier working this morning( I didn't get her name and she wasn't wearing a name tag that I could see) acted as if I was a burden to her. She was not friendly and lacks customer service skills. As I stated earlier, she made me feel very unwelcome. I'm not a a difficult customer. I've worked cashiering at a previous job. I know that it can be a stressful job from first hand experience. With that said, I don't as the cashier to fall down and praise me. I shop there because I like the store. I am asking that this young lady that waited on me this morning be given a little more training before actually being allowed to work with customers. Or maybe, working in another capacity within the store but not directly with customers. I will go out of my way to avoid this person whenever possible. In the future,if she's the only clerk on duty, I will turn and walk out of the store. Like I stated, I'm not a demanding person BUT I do deserve to feel welcomed and not treated like a burden. read more

Love this store although one never knows exactly what you will find there on any given day. Somedays I walk out with just a couple items, other days the cart is loaded. I particularly appreciate the growing amount of organic & healthy foods offered as I couldn't afford to purchase this for my family at the local health food stores. I shy away from the produce and generally buy that at Co op but otherwise I am grateful to have a local Grocery Outlet and am not quite sure how I could have afforded to feed 2 teenage boys with healthy food without this store! Horrible customer service. I was given a girt card from another G.O. that failed to charge the card, not Eureka's fault, or mine, but when the problem came up while trying to use the gift car, the manager and the owner were called over. Neither were helpful, and the owner was down right rude, and even made a snide remark as I left the store. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE that apparently starts from the top of this store's management. read more
