Clean, well organized and the shelves are pretty full! The aisles are wide and it's easy to shop...There is plenty of parking lot outside...The customer service is great in this location...Ambiance wise, they have many departments like regular grocery stores...Value vise, some items are cheaper, or same and sometimes little bit higher than other grocery stores....It depends on what you want...The fruit/ veggies arent the freshest but it still ok..i like their wine department because I always find smth valuable there in a discounted price that i cant find in any other location. read more

I like this grocery outlet location! The employees, especially at this location are top notch. They are always willing to help me locate stuff and today they actually went over some ingredients with me trying to keep away from palm oils. They had some St. Patrick's Day cabbage, and corned beef, but it was not discounted. It was $20 still. I asked one of the managers why is it not discounted since St. Patrick's Day is over and they said because of the meat is still fresh. Purchased $97 in groceries, as we know the larger chains grocery stores have better selection, but this is still a good place to get your moneys worth. read more

This is not just any place to buy produce, nuts, or flowers for your Mom. This is GROCERY OUTLET. One of the few remaining businesses that does not treat the consumer like an absolutely despicable street urchin. Here prices are prices again, and not attempts to fleece customers like sheep. Mike & Melanie own this particular Outlet. Mike is a real yeoman throwback of an owner. I have seen him on the floor stocking like a champ, monitoring cashiers, and regulating business. His noteworthy work ethic sets a good tone for the business. I've never personally seen Melanie in action; I'm sure she's a force majeure, or maybe a behind the scenes maven. One of the service people impressed too. I was wearing my fancy Sade beanie like the stylish man I am. The cashier one checkout over genuinely voiced the following compliment: "That's a great beanie sir." I nodded and expressed thanks. Any place that hires people who appreciate the sonic majesty of Sade has a worthy hiring policy in effect. When I saw how much I saved on groceries at the end of the transaction, I exited with minimum waste and maximum joy. Hats off to all the smooth operators at Grocery Outlet. read more

In the last couple of months, I have found myself visiting several different grocery outlet stores. Interestingly, this is one of the nicest ones I have ever visited: very clean, well organized, and a surprising variety of items. Each of these stores independently owned and operated under the GO banner; this particular location seems to have someone who knows what they're doing. Upon entry, I noticed their plant section was well organized, featured some unique house, plants for affordable prices, and did not look like they just had dump them out of a cardboard box onto the shelves like other locations. Immediately next to it was the requisite impulse buy, fresh fruit section... And my God, all of the strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, and those little yellow gooseberry. Things were completely fresh and not rotting slowly, dripping the respective colored juices all over the cold case. Yes, that's a thing at other grocery outlet stores. Considering I went in to purchase fruit... While my kid got to devour donuts from DK down the street, another review... I was really glad to see this. At the back of the store, the bananas were almost to fresh: all of the bunches were still pretty green, so I picked out the one that was closest to yellow, knowing that in the end, green bananas are good and starchy, and probably better for you than ripe ones anyway. I took a quick lap of the store, including the NOSH aisle, and they had all the good stuff. I grabbed a jar of almond butter for good measure, great price by the way. The cashier was absolutely delightful! Not sure if she was the owner early on a Saturday morning, or just a really great hire, but either way, I really appreciated her casual conversation, general kindness, smile, and parting with the sentiment of having a very nice rest of the day. Wow! Unfortunately, this particular supermarket is pretty far from my house, and we were only in town for my son's water polo tournament down the street. But when I find myself in this neighborhood again, I will very clearly drop in to this location, not only for their expected lower than-other-places-prices, but for high-quality items at that affordable price. read more

This grocery outlet, specifically, seems to have issues with their frozen and refrigerated goods. Best I can tell, either their supplier is of poor quality or their back staff doesn't get the food put away quick enough. I find this to be the case because stuff like milk almost always has a stank to it as if it is starting to go bad, even when the expiration date is out 1-2 weeks (this is pretty consistent compared to other grocery stores). Then the frozen good appear to have thawed and re-frozen. THIS seems to be the case because of the increased number of items stuck to each other. Even when it comes to burger patties, the wax paper separators will tear off unclean and seem more adhered to the frozen meat (more likely to occur when it starts to thaw and build condensation before re-freezing). But any basic dried good or open-air refrigerated items (cheese or butter) seem fine, but I have to start getting stuff like milk elsewhere. read more

I will NEVER shop here again. I just went in to shop and I had to use the restroom. I asked a male employee to punch in the code on the bathroom door so I could use it. I have diabetes and take meds so I have to go a little more often than usual. So before he lets me in he asks if I'm going to buy anything , I said in a grocery so maybe. He then hesitates on letting me in. Now in my work clothes I don't look like a homeless person or someone ragged that might loiter their restroom. So basically I had to promise to buy something to use the restroom in a grocery store. F**k them and this store, I'll NEVER shop there again. read more

Glad to see this recommendation. Been primarily a shopper with Albertsons and Staters but food is very high. I'm going to stop into Grocery Outlet. Albertsons seems cut throat on Collin's Orange. The manager is very busy with her social life and big earrings she wears everyday. She is cold to customers and other staff. She has no time for one who in particular who has a learning disability. The cashiers many times have no eye contact. The deli is a nightmare as the staff is too busy emptying boxes to wait on you. I hope you guys are more like Staters on Collin's but better prices. Their environment is professional and makes the customer feel If it's like they are number one especially in the meat and deli depts. So i will try your store. From the pictures it looks well stocked and organized.Hoping the customer service is much like Staters. Don't get like Albertsons on Collin's. I can't stand it not going back. When I go to this Grocery Outlet, I feel like I'm opening packages at Christmas! I never know what incredible things I'll find in addition to the things on my list. The store is neat, clean, well laid out. I feel safe going there unlike the grocery store near me, and never over charged by the same nearby grocery store. The cheese selection is like in a specialty high end market. One item that's always on my list is the steak, they are devoured in record time when I fix them. I appreciate the craft beer, and liquor selection, even the pickiest connoisseur will be able to find something for their palate Generally, every thing I need and more can be found there, and save huge amounts of money. Had the worst interaction with a cashier. I greeted her and she said not one word. She scanned my items and pushed them to the side. I asked for a bag and she opened and pushed the bag towards my 13 year old son, I'm assuming to have him bag it. Still not saying one word the whole transaction. So at that point I kinda lost it and asked my son "when did you start working here?!" And finally the cashier responded we don't hire people under the age of 18 and I just left. Great place to pick up bulk items for less than Costco pricing. Just make sure you check the expiration dates. Other than that and somewhat interesting characters you will meet this store is great! Anytime I have a birthday party, it's my turn for snacks for sports or just need snacks for school and home this is my go to store. I get what I need here than continue and pick up what I couldn't find at Costco or Smart and Final. Note that this store has select products. Produce, meat and dairy are all always available. Some products are seasonal and the rest are staples. If you live near by or are in the area I suggest stopping in. They also sell random non food items and have drugstore like aisle with razors, shampoo, deodorant, toothpaste, etc. there also is great deals on alcohol. Everyone who works here are patient and pleasant. I just wish that they asked people to either wear a face covering or leave the store. It is mandated by the governor to wear a mask in all public spaces. Today I witnessed something so outrageous that I can no longer shop here. I came on a Saturday morning and heard screaming from the refrigerated area. I walked back to see what was going on. I witnessed a customer being yelled at by a black female employee who was stocking products. The young shaved head manager was standing there, listening to this employee talk back to the customer. The customer asked to speak to her manager and she said he was standing right there and pointed at the young shaved employee. The customer went on to explain that he picked up a watermelon to try to weigh it but there was not a scale around. So he put the watermelon down and the female employee said to him"are you going to put it back?" This is absolutely out of line. The manager SAID to the customer "I can understand her point of view." What? This is NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND YOUR EMPLOYEE WAS WRONG! The back and forth, yelling between the employee and customer went on for minutes. The customer was clearly upset and the employees attitudes and talking back DID NOT HELP the situation. She walked by me and two other customers and said "he woke up on the wrong side of the bed." Again, unacceptable. Her job is to stock the store. Have some pride in where you work and If you see something misplaced, put it in the right place. Customers put stuff down, in the wrong places, all the time and she shouldn't argue with the customer. He said she ruined his shopping experience and the manager again did not say I'm sorry. As a manager, your #1 job is customer satisfaction. He left and I LEFT (I don't even know him but what I witnessed was horrible) without buying one thing. Another white female employee came out who was also stocking products and I said to her "can you please get someone involved? The employee should not be talking to the customer that way" and her response is that she couldn't do anything. I felt so terrible for this customer - an employee and manager against him. No apologies. She was wrong to give him attitude. I do not recommend to anyone supporting this grocery store because the employees and manager ARE NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE focused. There's another location 5 minutes away, Stater Bros & Albertsons down the street, Smart & Final and the 99 cent store. And Aldi is opening up, too! All employees, you choose to work where you work. You get a salary, health benefits and SS. If you deal with customers, take care of them. We have so many choices on where we spend our money. You lost two customers today and trust me, I will tell my family, friends and neighbors to NOT SHOP HERE. read more

It's the Big Lots of grocery stores! Only this food hasn't expired... yet. Seriously, it's like everything that didn't sell or seasonal items like over. Did you know they made 3 Musketeer's and Milk Way's with a marshmallow filling? Neither did I! But I found some! And frankly, they aren't bad. They had Frosted Flakes with marshmallow's. Must have been a fad last year. I was a little skeptical about the prices though certain things. Some things, like White Sugar, show's the retail price found in other locations and the Grocery Outlet Price below. The GO price was 30 cents less, which is usually what sugar is on sale at other grocers. Then again, they had packages of Oreo's for 99 cents. Now THAT'S a bargain! So it's hit or miss on product. If you're saving a ton on a few items, and need a few more that aren't that special just because it's part of your normal shopping trip, than that's OK. There isn't another full service grocery store super close so it's either Rite-Aid or a car trip to Stater Bros up the street. Otherwise, the store was clean. Some employees were working on go-backs (why are people so messy?) and the check out was efficient. There's a lot of special parking spots so watch for the signs (military, families, etc). I think it's cool they do that, I'm just bummed when I see a nice close spot, pull in, and I'm like - well shoot! Now I have to back out - find another spot - etc. Just be warned to look ahead. Watch for coupon in the newspaper flyers, sign up on line for the emails, and they have an occasional Groupon. read more

Needed some Romaine lettuce for my planned dinner; shrimp and grits and salad. Before heading to the produce section, I asked an employee (shirt and name tag) directions to the restroom? Her reply, "our restroom is for customers only". I let her know I was in fact a customer and needed the restroom. With reluctance, I was escorted to the combination clad restroom door. I love this store. I've gotten some real Bargains. The Annie's oatmeal Cookie dough is $4.99 at Staters and its$2.99 here. I like trying new things and there's always something cool to try. The only downside is lots of times it's not there again. Now if I find something I really like I go back and buy several. It's a fun place to go. I visit a number of Grocery Outlets in Orange County the employees have always been very respectful, except for today. The woman in front of me had a huge basket full of groceries she clearly was still deciding what to buy in her basket. I thought I waited long enough I simply asked the cashier if he could get help? His request for backup was denied I asked him if a mgr could help? Guess that was the manager. I simply asked her if I could get help due to the length of time I had to wait and I was now running late. She opened up to help me, she looked angry because I asked for help. She did not say a word to me, if she didn't want to help me there were plenty of employees stocking the floor that could of rang me up. I work in the financial industry, clients are how I get paid and how my company stays in business. Maybe the manager needs some customer service training? I fell in love! I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it wasn't this. And that's a good thing. Based on its name, I guess I went in there with preconceived notions -- "bargain" = cheap quality? No, not at all! There were REALLY good deals on good items. And not just food items -- some household products, too, like shampoo, soap, men's socks, etc. In terms of grocery, we really picked up some great stuff like granola, produce, snacks, etc. I had errands to run afterwards, or I would have gotten meats. Grocery Outlet is a family chain and has that family feel when you walk in. They don't have the best prices in everything, but when they do I suggest you buy a few extras because it might be a one time buy for them. Opening day I bought 5 oz Kettle chips BOGOF $1.99 ea, V8 Splashers BOGOF $1.99 ea., Cauliflower was $0.99 each and bananas was $0.39 lb. They also had $0.89 dozen eggs and full box of lucky charms for $0.99 as well. I didn't get a chance to see my adult drinks section because the ceremony just happened to be in that area nor did I have any cake during the opening. There were lots of chamber, city of Orange people, CHOC people during opening last week. There isn't a lot of Organic produce here, the only organic I saw was bagged greens for $2.50. Some of the ribs are cut in half and repackaged. (why don't more people do that?). It's kind of a pain lugging a whole slab around. If you save a bit of money, they will ring the bell here for you.
