Today, 6/22/17, I shopped at Sav-Mor in Brevard, NC, as I have done in past years. I am a visitor…read morehere for the Music Festival. All was well until I reached the check-out counter and placed my credit card into the device for posting charges. No charges of items I had brought to the check-out counter appeared on the display of the device as the cashier scanned them. Rather, a window requesting my signature appeared after the cashier had apparently scanned all the items which I had brought to the check-out counter. I told the cashier I wanted to see the listing of charges before I signed and she told me I could see them listed on a display above the cash register, but i was able to see only a few of the items I had hoped to buy and the cashier said she was unable to scroll through the entire list because the display was not sensitive to touch. I was insistent about seeing my charges before agreeing to pay them. The cashier asked if I would like to speak to the manager and I told her I would. She summoned a young man who tried to get the list printed for me but he was not successful and he summoned another older man who may have held a higher position than the first man. That older man, too, was unable to obtain a printed list of items and their costs, either at the register where I was or at another machine inside an administrative area. That older man returned to the check-out area where I was waiting and said that he could not cancel the pending transaction and said that after I had signed the display originally mentioned I could get a print-out of my charges. He added that my credit card would be charged no matter if I signed or not. I questioned that statement. The older man then said that If I would sign the display he wouild give me my money back, if I requested it. I declined that offer and the older man asked me why, adding that, "It's the same thing." I said I would not sign the authorization for a charge to my credit card unless I had a listing of what I was being charged for and their prices. The older man then told me to "Get out of my store." I asked him why he had told me to leave and he told me that we had no more business to conduct.

Of course from what I have seen when I am in there, she is too busy chit chatting with people than working. The produce dept usually has rotten food on the shelves. Years back the produce was awesome, not so much now.
