Yikes?…read more I'm just going to report what happened to me and let you decide if these folks (only met one, Jackie) deserve your business? I never met Sally Ann (who may or may not still be part of this business?). Contacted this business/broker for some condo/townhome insurance quotes. Jackie promptly replied with some choices (2). After the initial inquiry, Jackie takes a bit longer to get back to me (I had some questions). This should have been a red-flag moment, for me. After getting some other quotes (from other brokers), Jackie had the best pricing. So, I went with her. After some back and forth (between emails and phone calls), I decided on a Safeco policy. So starts the journey..... First, I wanted to start the policy when my current (at the time) policy expired (which was about a month away). I asked Jackie (numerous times) to bill me so I could pay the bill asap. No response. A few days passes by, still no response. I'm beginning to get concerned. She (finally, after 4-days) gets back to me (explaining that a member of her family died, or was sick?), etc. So, I let it slide. After some more back/forth, I finally get the bill (emailed?). I wrote down (on an envelope) the address on the emailed bill and mailed it to the Safeco address (in NH). After Safeco got my remittance (check), I find out, my last name is mis-spelled? I contact Jackie no less than 3-times during a one-week interval, with no response. On the 7th day, she gets back to me, stating she was out of town and just got back (apparently husband had a sickness to one family member?). This litany of "situations" for her delayed responses is now getting old. She then tells me, she will have Safeco correct the spelling of my last name. About 7-10 days goes by and my last name is still not corrected (I know this because I get the policy and my last name is still not spelled correctly). So, I call Safeco (directly) and get the spelling of my last name corrected (on their records, no attempt was ever made to correct the mis-spelling of my last name, until my request). Correcting the mis-spelling took all of about 5-minutes over the phone. I ask Safeco if I can change brokers. They say no problem and offer 3-names of local brokers carrying Safeco and I re-choose one in Dublin (I try to give local/CV businesses my buying choices). In this case it did not work. All I can say, is that this Dublin-based business has been flawless (they re-checked to make sure my name was corrected and they made sure I had a policy with the correct name on it).
