Nice selection of breads, tasty challahs, delicious pastries. I would shop there regularly if they weren't so overpriced.

I hadn't heard of Brick & Butter Bakehouse, but it seemed highly regarded here, so it was a no-brainer. We showed up and the place was busy. I was a little full from the aforementioned meal, so I began looking at the smaller pastries. I eventually landed on the Peanut Butter Strawberry Crumble Financier, which I took to a nearby table and began eating. Oh man is it ever good. It's a delicious, rich cake that's subtle in its flavors but ultimately completely addictive. I honestly don't know how or if it could've possibly been any better. I can't wait to return to Brick & Butter to try some of their other offerings.

I was surprised that this few blocks really transforms the vibe - Brick & Butter Bakehouse's is near Greenview avenue, relaxing street which has a lot of green spaces alongside, giving the neighbourhood a luxurious vibe. We got - Plain croissant - Dubai chewy cookie - Canelé Plain croissant, looks beautifully golden and was flaky - I felt that it was a bit dry. It had a nice honeycomb crumb structure, but this interior was not soft. Overall taste felt very bland, leaving just saltiness/dryness on the palate. Canele was okay, but the caramelization of the outer did not achieve the bitterness I desired. The texture was not as delicate. The outer was crunchy but I felt it was too thick. Taste of the interior was good and moist. I wished to have more rummy flavor. Dubai chewy cookie - It was chewy outside like mochi, but inside was runny with some crunchy pieces. Good, but did not have depths and layers that I desired. Overall, overpriced for what was offered. But nice place to take a break when walking in this pleasant neighbourhood!

It was my first time visiting this iconic Italian bakery, deli and hot table. It was so good it definitely won't be my last visit. Traditional Italian Veal Sandwiches are served on crusty bread fresh from their bakery with your choice of toppings like mushrooms, peppers and cheese. They packed the cake in a beautiful box and thankfully it was on a sturdy bottom so it didn't move during the delivery and looked so good! The cake itself was very good, a lot of strawberries with the whipping cream and cake were not too sweet so it balanced with the natural sweetness of the strawberries very well! It was also very light which was great as we had activities planned. We ordered it the day before and the cake tasted great the next day so easy to store leftovers. Would be interested in going to the store and trying more things in the future.

The online ordering process is smooth and convenient, and the final product genuinely impresses. I'm taking one point off only because it was impossible to reach someone by phone. Communication is email only, which works, but it does feel a bit arms length and takes away from the personal touch you'd expect from a boutique bakery. A quick call option would elevate the whole experience. That said, the pastries and cakes are excellent, and I'd happily order again. Enjoy-Zuk.

The service is consistently warm, and the pastry case is hard to resist. We've tried many of their cakes, and the blackcurrant queen cake is hands down our favorite--tart, elegant, and just sweet enough. Their salted caramel croissant is beautifully laminated and filled with just the right amount of caramel. In fact, their croissants across the board are solid--flaky, tender, and buttery without being greasy. The sourdough bread is excellent, and the espresso drinks are reliably strong and well-crafted. It may look like Paris inside, but don't let that inspire your inner Francophile--the staff are lovely, but no one's following your French. Still, this is the kind of place that keeps regulars coming back. We're definitely among them.

Upon arriving mid afternoon after the lunch rush, there were still so many people here. Thankfully no line up though. By around 2-3PM the lunch options were all gone (sandwiches, pizzas, etc), which is fine since I came for pastries. I opted for their butter croissant and their pistachio croissant. Both were great and delicious with the pistachio one having lots of pistachio filling. These were good but I wouldn't hype it as much as socials did - still amazing though! There's no seating and is a take out spot only. My pastries came in a paper bag with handles, no box, no wrap which was interesting. Overall, worth checking out for some good pastries in the area.
