Each time you told us it was good to go and passed inspection - and it did 2nd time around for a drive from Grogans Mill to Kroger Alden Bridge all was good - Kroger to FM 1488 and into our garage and it wouldn't start again. My husband got out of car and lights went on, car started rocking, all electrical start coming on, going off. My husband is a patient man, he's used this facility for years, but after two unsuccessful troubleshooting attempts, Dinetta??? Or anyone would return our calls - total silence. Beware!!!! Our car needed an oil change and we decided to give them our business because we live close nearby instead going to the dealership. Sad to say as I generally avoid posting negative comments and prefer to just no longer be a customer to show my dissatisfaction. Our car was overheating, like a thermostat issue. I tested the system by refilling coolant with no leaking. Car overheated again the next day so took it to our local Shell. Told them what was occurring and also asked that they look at the front brakes as there was occasionally noise heard. We had had the brakes done just months before at another automotive shop so we didn't expect any major problems. That afternoon. I received a call from Shell Automotive that the radiator and all hoses needed replaced. They said the radiator was split opened at the bottom. Additionally they said the front brake pads were ninety eight percent worn and the calipers were sticking and the rotors needed replaced etc. Total cost about two thousand five hundred. What? I checked the cooling system and saw no leaking, again thinking I had a thermostat problem but never saw a leak and certainly no split that would have water pouring out. Our brakes had just been done so that made no sense either. Feeling we were being taken for a ride we had the car picked up and taken to Christian Brothers Automotive on Panther Creek. Cooling issue was a just a hose and they said that the front brakes were in great shape. Got us on the the road for way way less and didn't try to stick it to us. Thanks Victor and team, we will be back. Based on my experience at Shell, I felt like they were trying to rip me off and after we picked up our car from Christian Brothers I guess they really were. I don't ever write reviews but I have to for these guys. They rock. I went in for an oil change and tire rotation, fast forward 4 hours later (bc of the Iron Man triathlon) I needed a new oil plug because the previous establishment stripped and ruined it and it took them a hour just to get it off. The part needed to be ordered, it took the service guy two hours to get there! Anyways, long story short, Al the guy at the front desk comped my new oil pan, gave me a $20 discount card and was so incredibly nice. Those dudes were stressing and had awesome customer service. I don't know about major car maintenance but if you want an oil change or something simple, I definitely recommend this joint. read more

BEWARE, the manager at this place will try to rip you off. I was at that gas station and by mistake I put motor oil on the coolant receptacle. After I realized my stupid mistake I did not want to move or use the car. The service shoo was right there so I ask them to flush the coolant with oil and replace it. He quoted me $220, which I agreed to. On my way out I asked the mechanic working in the car how difficult or how complicated this was, he mentioned it was an easy fix that will require less than 2 hours work. I found out when I got home that a normal price for that type of work is between 100-150. But I was ok with the agreed 220. When I picked up the car, the manager Al said they had to flush it twice and that the cost for the total repair was $360, I told him I never authorized this and we argue an at the end he charged me 250, which included a $5 dólar bottle of new oil, what a rip off and what a dishonest man. He argued that his mechanics made 125 per hour, hahah, I actually asked the mechanic on my way out and he said they make between 10-20!!!!! But what really got me upset was that the car immediately had the service engine light in and was shaking in a strange way when in park. Today I took it to my trusted mechanic and he mentioned that the hoses were all wrongly installed and the cap for the oil was half open. My trusted mechanic mentioned they did a lousy job, I am almost convinced this was done on purpose so I had to go back and get rio off again.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND THIS GUY NAMED AL. read more

WARNING!!: This place will try to royally screw you over! A few days ago I went to get my inspection sticker renewed. They told me that the safety brake pads were worn out and it would cost me $350 for parts and another $200 for labor. I laughed and said, "You think I'm stupid? First off, brake pads only cost about $30 per wheel, and you never even took my wheel off to see if you're theory is true". I grabbed my keys back and left, LOL. Also $200 for labor? It would take at most 15 minuets to change out brake pads on one wheel. There is no way $200 for 30 minuets of work is reasonable by any stretch of imagination. I guess this place stays in business because people don't do their homework and let criminals like this steal from them. Don't let this happen to you! read more

Needed to get two tires I bought online installed and TireRack.com lists this station as a recommended installer. Went in a couple days before the tires arrived to check the place out, the facility is very clean and has a comfortable waiting area. I met and talked to Alex who has been the manager for about 1 year, Alex quoted me the price to have the tires installed and said when they arrived to just come in and the wait would be about 45 minutes. Fast forward my tires come in, I throw them in my car and drive over to the station, checked in and 30 minutes I was out the door, new tires installed at the price as listed on TireRack.com. Really nice guys who ask all the right questions and are aiming to earn your business. read more

I will never go to this place AGAIN! After I didn't believe their story about the $1,100 job they wanted to do on my car's A/C they offered to do it for $850. I said NO. They then decided that my tires have rubber rot and so my car won't pass inspection. Gee it's not rubber rot...it's dirt. No evidence of rubber rot or tire breakdown. When I said "NO", they had already picked out the tires they planned on selling me. In my opinion, these people need to be avoided. read more

**BEWARE** Sadly I had my car service here 3 times and every time was a TERRIBLE experience. Manager AL SELLARI is very rude and will try to rip you off any change he has. Had my tires replaced, they installed it reversed and aired with 75psi, after I complaint about this directly to AL, he did not even apologize. Having to wait hour and a half each time for replacing 2 tires. Stay away if you don't want to get ripped off. read more

I had the alternator in my car replaced by Shell Car Care and paid a premium price for it. Imagine my astonishment, when barely two years later, my car broke down again and needed a new alternator! It was discovered by the mechanic that the alternator installed by Shell apparently came from a salvage yard! It had numbers written on it consistent with salvaged parts. I was not told the part they were installing was used & I was led to believe it was new. I will never do business with them again. read more

BEWARE! Pay attention to negative reviews-I would never return to repair shop- multiple repair issues and c.serve.. I had a complete transmission overhaul- they installed a defective part, 3wks later my car clutch locked up while driving than a smoke smell filled my car-had to coast into near gas station,the engine was shaking with burning smell-returned. My car remained in shop all day Saturday even though promised it would be ready to pick-up on this day.I called that evening before shop closed left message for Trey they service manager- I was concerned taking a long time to repair. He did not return my numerous calls-completely disregarded the serious safety issue( would have locked up-if you drive a standard that is main part on acceleration). I had to pay for a cab serv.more costs out of pocket to find out my car had not even been looked at Saturday, Trey lied and no one ever apologized for my inconvenience,even though I spent over $2000.
