Refreshingly honest. I've been going to this shop for 25 years and will never go anywhere else. At one point Tom insisted I take my (new) car to the dealership for repair when it was under warranty. He took the time to show me what was wrong, told me what to tell their service department, and made me take it to them so that I could get it repaired under warranty. This place is fantastic! Went in to have my oil changed. The service man came out of the bay and said something to the owner. I thought 'here we go', this is going to cost a fortune. He then wanted to make sure I had been up with my scheduled changes, I assured him I had. I first took an older car to Midas for a second opinion after another shop told me I needed to replace all 4 brakes. They took me out into the garage to show me that the wear indicators on all the brakes showed they were nowhere near needing replacing. They checked all the brakes and sent me out the door at no cost. This Midas location came highly recommended from several people on Nextdoor and now I can see why. I took my own car for an oil change and the price I was quoted over the phone (included a coupon that they automatically deducted from the total price without me needing to ask) was exactly the price I paid. They were able to get my oil change done in less than an hour without an appointment and even took the time to look up the manufacturer's recommended service schedule rather than sell me an expensive package full of unnecessary headlight fluid flushes for my next service appointment. I'll be taking my car here for regular service and repairs in the future. Best part is no longer having to keep track of coupons! read more

The downside: They took a couple of attempts to figure out what was wrong with my AC. We originally thought it just needed a freon recharge, but we had to replace a hose and then the compressor. It wound up being a lot more than I expected. Upside: Midas saved me money by installing a rebuilt compressor I ordered from Amazon at a fraction of the cost. I needed to get my car aligned and JT helped me find a time that fit with my schedule. We found a good day for me to get my car in. He was really kind and knowledgeable. I got my car aligned within an hour and gave me information on a part of my car that might be a bit of an issue later on. He gave me his card just in case. Made an appointment to get my air conditioner fixed - I got a professional, polite, and interested confirmation call the evening ahead. I was 20 minutes early, but they were steadily turning out satisfied customers so they got started on my car immediately. They did exactly what they said they would do and gave me $20 bucks off as a courtesy for a coupon that did not apply to air conditioning service. My freezing cold car was ready to go about 80 minutes later! I have dye in my coolant to find possible leaks, and they wont charge me for draining the coolant again for 60 days, just in case. Polite, professional, perfect service for a reasonable cost. If you want to run your car way after it is paid for like me, this is your spot. So glad I found them! read more

I had to drive through some floodwater on the Interstate service road while heading home in torrential rain. Shortly thereafter I noticed a grinding/scraping noise, but thought it was rust on the rotors. Took it to Midas without an appointment and left it there for repairs. We went to have breakfast and got a call before breakfast ended telling us the car was ready. Turns out a metal shield had pulled loose from the force of the water under the car, and was it scraping on the ground. Midas reattached the shield, and told me "no charge." I said I needed to pay for the time it took them to put it up on the lift, check it out, and to do the repair, but he again said "no charge, do something nice for someone" - pay it forward. Then he said, almost as an afterthought, "If you want, write a report on us." So there you have it. Thanks, Tom. Midas in Spring, just south of the Wooslands: Reliable, honest, professional. Got a coupon in the paper with 19.99 oil change. The coupon doesn't give a specific location. Call hue location and after being in hold for 7 minutes the "manager" or someone answers and says "well my store won't honor this if he doesn't specifically say my location". To me that's just bad business. He could have honored it he just didn't want to. That's fine, I'll go next door to his competitor and pay full amount for a nicer experience. I can't believe I am giving this rating to a car repair place - - let alone a chain - - but these guys are a unique find. It is a bit of a maze to get into their parking lot...but plenty of people seem to find them. I forget about them, go back, and then wonder why I went anywhere else. Honest about repairs, explain your options, and try to help you save money. This is not the kind of place that is always recommending some kind of fluid flush or other unexpected service, or the people are different every time you go in. When I walk in someone always greets me with great service. I recently took my vehicle in thinking that I needed breaks replaced, but they informed me that was not the case. I went to this Midas for a wheel problem and it was one of the better mechanical experiences I've had. I'm not car savvy by any means, so going to get my car checked out or fixed I always get a little nervous because I already know I'm going to have any idea what the hell they are talking about. I walked in was greeted immediately explained my problem and they figured out what was wrong quite quickly. It took about 2 hrs to fix which wasn't very long. There are a few restaurants right across the street which was really convenient since had 2 hrs. As soon as my car was done I could immediately tell that the shaking I was experiencing was completely fixed. I forgot some paperwork and they were totally cool about it and invited me back the next day and were super understanding. I wish I could be more like Midas Men..all sweaty, hot, greasy and still manage to be totally adoring, polite gentlemen? Really?
