I contemplated not writing this because I don't like the thought of taking away someone's livelihood or hurting a small business but I truly cannot stand the thought of this happening to someone else's baby. We took our dog here randomly because we couldn't get an appointment at our regular before the holidays. I will say I was able to book an appointment quickly and obviously did not read the reviews. I asked for a simple bath, deshedding, and the usual ear cleaning. We have a mix with medium hair, not a malamute but not a pitty length. He was not matted, not was he shedding anymore than normal (not clumpy or undercoat). He has a gorgeous coat that we frequently get complimented on and is well taken care of. I took him out to get groomed in the afternoon and when I picked him up, I saw that he was chained to a grooming stand by himself with no more than 4 inches slack. I didn't think much of it at the time, since I know he doesn't go into a crate easily, paid and left. Upon getting home I noticed he smelled great and was clean. After a day I noticed he wouldn't eat and was flinching and whining when I would touch or pet him. I rushed him to the vet thinking something was seriously wrong. After spending over $1200 at the vet for an exam, testing, and multiple pain meds, we realized that he had been brushed so hard on his back that they tore skin. After a couple days, and now 2 weeks, he has a HORRIFYING amount of LARGE scabs up and down his spine from the very top of his head to the base of his tail. We concluded that this was from the deshedding brush. There are no scabs on his stomach or sides so I cannot show photos and because he is black, they're nearly impossible to see when I try to photograph. I cannot bear the fact that my sweet boy was brushed so hard for god knows how long that he was bleeding and in pain. This was not a mistake that went unnoticed. This is pure animal cruelty and they are honestly lucky I am not pressing charges. They should not be allowed to touch another animal. Lord knows what else goes on behind closed doors. Please do not take your babies here. I am devastated for my boy. read more

This is a few moments after we picked up our 11, almost 12 year old. Normally Baby loves coming back from the groomer looking handsome and feeling fresh. We have been to this location a few times before and decided to go back as we had previous positive experieneces. However, upon return we noticed that Baby was not his usual excited self and was acting odd, as if in some sort of pain. We took Baby to the room thinking there may be something interally wrong. However the doctor came back and told us that Baby has RAZOR BURN ON HIS TESTICLES. As a result, the doctored ordered for Baby to wear a cone for a week. How this groomer burned Baby's private parts is beyond my comprehension. THE STORY GET SAD AFTER THIS BE WARNED. When we came back to report what happened the new lady, who we have never seen before, agrued that she was not at fault and compared the situation as going to get manicure done and accidently get pricked. I dont see the comparison as one should know that the testicles are significantly more sensitive. Furthermore, her lack of professionalism is evident if she is unable to be careful in such a sensitive area. Now to the sad part. As we followed the doctor's orders, we noticed Baby's behaviors have changed dramatically. Baby would not eat, walk, drink, or move from his his spot the entire day. Instead he would quitely shiver from pain all day. As we understood the situation, we believed the pain may have been from the razor burn. However, during the next couple of days Baby's eyes began to worsen. Again we take Baby to an emergency doctor and this time the doctor determines that Baby has become completely blind in one eye and the other eye is nearly blind due to cuts on his corena. Over the next 3 or 4 days, Baby's health and behavior became noticably worse. Ultimately Baby passed on 11/5/21 and we used this groomer the week before. And to satisfy any naysayers, yes Baby was a completely healthly prior to his visit here. While I cannot prove if the cuts in Baby's corenas are result of a sharp object (the tools used to groom), the initial razor burn to his testicles has caused the chain of events to happen. Moreover only an opthalmologist would be able to professionally determine such an event. However, the decline in Baby's behavior and health did not all enough time to meet with an opthalmologist. While this review is lengthy, I hope that you reconsider your visit here. My heart goes out to Baby he has been my best friend and my fluffy brother for 11, almost 12 years, and to think that a simple razor burn on his testicles could to lead up to the passing of one of my family is a tragedy I would never wish upon anyone. If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. I'm so unbelievably upset. I took my dog here previously and I'm not sure if this place is under new ownership or what. The last time I took my dog to get groomed here they cut his hair very well BUT they cut too close to his penis and balls that it left him with clipper (razor) burn. After some research it was suggested to let the groomer know so they could not cut him so close the next time. Fast forward to this past grooming appointment I made the appointment and let them know to please not cut too close to avoid clipper (razor) burn again. They called me to pick him up hours later so I headed over to pick him up. When I did his haircut was terrible but whatever his hair will grow back quick anyway. The lady offered a dress and I declined bc first off he's a boy and I had Halloween pjs for him in the car anyway. When I put him in the passenger seat he immediately jumped on my lap where I proceed to put his pajamas on. When I went to put his back paws in I noticed a cut on his right left. When I lifted his leg I saw a huge gash on the interior of his hind leg. I got him and took him back to the groomer and asked what happened. They proceeded to act like they had no idea what I was talking about and it was a big surprise. The wound was FRESH and he did not have it going in. I put new pajamas on him at night and he had not one cut on him. They put neosporin and told me to take him to the vet if it didn't get better okay... no shit. I told him it was not okay bc I was so furious. Never did they offer an apology or to refund me my money. Granted a little while after I arrived home the young girl that works that reached out to me and to offer her apology and I told her I wanted my money back and that if he wound began to get infected and needed medical attention they are responsible. Three of them stood there, started complaining about my dog. He's old and blind, so he's easily agitated. They made me come in with my dog and embarrassed me. They always take my little girl (as log as I call before or as close to 9am as possible). They work quickly and aren't too expensive either.

Living right down the street, and just recently adopting a partially blind, very gentle and sweet 10 year old Shih Tzu, I gave them a call this morning for grooming information, only to be informed that they do not work on dogs 10 years old, or older. The person on the phone did make sure to let me know that she has been grooming dogs for 25 years, so I couldn't help but think that someone with all those year's behind her might have found a way by now to handle any dog in any situation. She said that dogs that age can be very aggressive, and she had found out the hard way. Truthfully, any dog at any age can be aggressive in any different setting, so I found this explanation to be discriminatory, as well as very unprofessional on her part. She told me I need to go and find someone else to groom my dog, and I informed her I would do just that, as well as letting anyone I can know about her policy. Groomer? Really?? read more

I regret this place. It was weigh too pricey. For $60 they trimmed one of my dogs tail and ears and left his facial hair uneven. Actually both of dogs facial hair was uneven. Im very disappointed. will not come back to this place. read more

Please ignore the review from the fool with the Pit Bull. We all know that one slip from an even normallly nice Pit Bull can cause terrrific harm. I brought my elderly dog in for a medicated bath. The two ladies ooo'd and aaaah'd over her and were really sweet to her. She was knowledgable about skin issues and my dog came out beautifully and the price was great.
