I boarded my dog here in June and was absolutely disgusted. When I picked him up he had a deep scratch down his nose. I assumed it was from a run-in with another dog and no big deal so I ignore and take him out to the car. When I go to lift him in he smelled so strongly like cleaning product and was covered with poop on his rear (this has never happened at home, he is a large dog). I go inside to ask for a paper towel or something to clean him up and no one comes out so after standing there for a few minutes I just leave and go put him in my car. He had mass amounts of hair coming off him so I give him a bath as soon as we get home and notice he has an ear infection (hasn't had one since he left the pound) and his paw paws are peeling off and cracking I can't even imagine what would cause this. He used to go into his crate no problem and it took 3 days for him to willingly go into his crate again. When I initially left for vacation and contacted them for an update it took 48+ hours to respond. This isn't just unacceptable it's boarder line animal abuse. I would never, under any circumstances take my dog there again.

A change in ownership has left this kennel in a Royal mess. New business practices had every single…read morelong time employee LEAVE this facility refusing to watch the consistent decline in care for the animals. Proof is in my photos below. My 4 month old puppy's ear was torn off by another, older dog that never should have been near the young puppies. Lack of screening of new dogs into this kennel puts dogs needlessly in harm's way. Daycare dogs are outside in runs for a few hours in the morning, then put in crates until pick up. Sometimes they are fed, sometimes not. Customers are not permitted inside the kennel. Why is that?? It is FILTHY. Get your dog as far away from this place as possible. It is dangerous and a public health hazard. My puppy went in for a fun day of daycare. At the end of the day, an inch of his right ear was handed over to me in a Zip Lock baggie. I was told "it was an accident". What???? It was NEGLECT at BEST, a BRUTAL ATTACK for CERTAIN. There were no cages or crates. Camp Grandma treats your pet as their own. He went on walks, played in the fenced in yard and a small swimming pool was available if he wanted to cool down. He stayed and slept in the house with the rest of the family. What a relief this week was as compared to last year when I had to leave him at a kennel. I will always use Camp Grandma in the future and I highly recommend her to anyone who loves their pet and wants the best for them while you can't be there.
