Rigo, Patty, Oso, and Abby always treat him as if he is one of their own, and it shows because he's always happy to go the groomers and be lead away for his treatment. Grooming is a difficult job. I had been looking for the right place for my little dog for long time until I was lucky enough to find this place. The place has plenty of room to house the puppies and has a big window that allows you to see the grooming process. It is very clean but best of all is the love and care with which they treat our pets. My little mini yorkie suffers from anxiety and is very territorial but I was very surprised to see how calm and happy she was there. Additionally, the service is excellent. Brought my schnauzer in for grooming. Not the first time there. I requested a Traditional schnauzer cut. Karen called to confirm the cut. When I picked up my dog I noticed they had shaved off your beard!! The number one trademark of a schnauzer is the whiskers and beard. When I called to express my concern Karen was very kind and recommended me to a hotline number for the brother and sister team of ownership. I left two messages and never received any call back. Karen had mentioned to me that they had four other schnauzers in that day so I'm sure they know what a schnauzer cut is. I am always nervous to take my baby to a new groomer but I've never had a bad experience as far as a groomer mistreating my dog until today. I just picked up my dog and not only is the groom terrible (she's a poodle mix and they completely shaved her body and left her head ungroomed without even blending it), she is bleeding on her face and she yelps every time we touch her. I asked twice how she behaved during her groom and if anything happened and they said no both times and then when I called to ask about why she's bleeding they said that she bit the brush. I just warned them that she doesn't like her face or paws touched and they should be careful. I just can't believe that they didn't let me know and they sent her home with blood on her face. I also don't know how she's bleeding on the top of her face from biting a brush or why her body hurts from biting a brush. I've never had such a horrible experience at a groomer and I don't know what to even do other than to write a review read more

NEVER GO TO THEM. I REPEAT, NEVER. I took my dog to get her groomed, a week later I noticed a very big scab in the tear ducts in her eye that was about an inch big. I took her to the vet to be examined and the vet told me that the groomer cut a large hole in her tear duct that caused very big and painful infection result in a lot of injections of antibiotics, pills, ointments, HEAD CONE, and my dog is in a lot of pain, suffering and sadness. Please do yourself a favor and never go to them. No dog deserves this happening to them. This hurt both me, my dog and my pocket. read more

I am new to the area and came upon Tailwaggers. I took my Lucy there. I explained what I wanted done and the receptionist understood. When I was called and told Lucy was done I hurried to pick her up. As Lucy greeted me one of her nails was very sharp and scratched my leg. She was brought to the groomer who fixed this problem. I was then giving the excuse that he Forgot. Really? This is what you do and you forgot. Anyway, None of what I wanted,except a bath, was done. I was very disappointed. I then was given sales pitch on becoming a member for $35 which included a possibility of my dog's picture being in a calendar. It also was to included coupons for guess who? Right! Tailwaggers. Now how is that a deal for me? Beside that My Lucy spent the next month chewing at spots on her back since she came home from there. When I took her to a great groomer they found that the products they used on her during her only treatment, bath, was not rinsed out properly which in turn irritated her skin. My advice to other parents of fur babies. Be careful of a small privately owned groomer. I will not recommend nor be going back to Tailwaggers. read more

Patty is super sweet and leaves you feeling comfortable leaving your pet in her capable hands. Rigo - the groomer is incredibly knowledgeable and really gives you a sense that he knows what he's doing. I obviously don't know the grooming terms, but with my description of what I wanted for my pup he was able to groom him PERFECTLY! I am so happy with how his haircut came out and will definitely be returning. The prices are affordable and worth it. I have had problems with groomers with my little Benny. I didn't know it was an issue until I went to Tailwaggers. In every other groomer they would tell me we would have to shave him down. Other places they told me who was too aggressive. I had never heard of him being aggressive but maybe with strangers he was. So for his first 2 years of life he was just getting shaved. He didn't mind. But once I took him to Tailwaggers he looked like an actual dog after his cut. I was in love. He was fluffy and adorable and clean and I go back every month now. read more

I have been bringing my dogs for over 10 years to this place and the last few times I've had problems 1st time grooming job was bad and they didn't even bath my dog and after I complained they offered me 3 bathings to keep me as a customer,which I declined.So about a year later I decided to go back and give them another chance and this time my dog has a nasty clipper burns on his PP and its all swollen and scabbed up and I'm truly convinced to never use there services again and I highly recommend caution when taking your dog to them I believe they are into high volume turnover instead of quality service and for the prices they charge it should be first class service and not have to deal with these issues I've had.I will post warnings as often and as many places as possible I marked 1 because it's necessary to leave atleast 1 to leave your comment.I am now taking my dog to the vet to get checked out to see what necessary treatment he may need...I will follow up with another post after my visit to the vet read more

BEWARE - This so called dog grooming place is a danger to all animals. They severely burned my dog's retina with shampoo and chemicals and did not even notice. The facility is dirty, the owners do not know what the are doing and it is an unsafe environment for humans and pets alike. I write this as a warning to all buyers. I've been going to see Rico to get my poodle haircut 4 about seven years now in the beginning it was great.....Tho sometimes when I would bring him he would leave out a few things out ..... I have a black poodle and he's a champion show dog last time I went he missed out on doing the Pom-Pom on his head and left a few steps like when you walk down the few steps it looked really awkward it wasn't done correctly ......I couldn't leave the shop and everybody had gone...... so I had to do a little touch up my self..... I end up speaking to him over the phone and he started arguing with me and & Rico the owner groomer husband grooming my dog for a very long time since 2008 I'm not a problem causer I actually liked his work most the time but this time I was very disappointed the fact that I am paying a big sum of money for my miniature poodle , he is only 11 years old, he says my dog is very old and my dog is not old at all I don't know what he is talking about? I was very disappointed in his last work i said abd i tild him that he wasn't paying attention enough again so he overreacted towards me I was very surprised & shocked ..... I said I'm in the back and I'm going to trim my dog I am not going to go out before he is groom to properly he said to me to come back next week and I said no I have to have him properly done I paid already and his nails needed to be clipped and round it so he won't scratch the leather of my car he objected and said come back next week anyhow left me with all bunch of question marks and doubt and worry I said to him I will not leave before my dog is properly groomed I think now he is more money hungry he raised his price of $5 for all haircuts for everyone .....I have to let you know that when it comes to sanitary it isn't as clean as it used to be...... when I went last time I saw him uses the same nail clipper without sterilizing from one dog to another :( also he's moving to a new location which is going to be a bigger place but if he has this attitude towards me again I have no other option to come back here on Yelp and continue on giving my opinion and reviews ......I don't wish to make any problems but he leaves me no other choice so this is why this time I give him one more chance.....This time I only am giving him one Star. I've been going there for many years, at first they did a nice job, but as time went on the hair cutting became so sloppy that it looks like they paid no attention to what they were doing. Dishonest groomers and treat their customers poorly. They also tell you a pick up time, then call later and demand that you come early or pay a boarding fee.
