Last appointment with my large dog, the appointment was for 9am, I asked if our dog would be done around 12pm. The reception lady rudely replied, this is a large dog. We have 4 large dogs in the back. Large dogs take time. Maybe the dog will be done around 3. I'm sorry? I made an appointment, it is not my fault or my dog's fault that you overbooked. Received a call shortly after asking about fleas, our dog is on meds from the vet so no fleas. They said they may need to charge more for fleas if they find one. The dog has no fleas. Got a call at 2 to pick the dog up. 5 hours later. When I make an appointment, I should not need to wait for their overbooking issues. 5 hours for the dog to be groomed? Nor be called about fleas the dog does not have and be threatened I'm to be charged more. $150 for a 65 pound dog to be groomed. Since then, I have been to 2 other groomers with the dog just to see the difference in timing and price and neither have been as terrible in timing or pricing. The other locations recognize appointment times and do not take 5 hours. In fact, picked my large dog up after 2 hours. Not 5 2 hours and $80 with tip, at the most with the others. Unfortunately we will not be back here. We do hate to leave the employee here we really liked.

The wash stations were very clean with good water pressure and temperature, and the shampoos and conditioner worked really well. Our dog is super clean now. I've tried a couple of the other self-wash places around here and this is definitely the best one so far. Frankly, most of the other places seem to be dirty and smell weird and staffed by crabby folks. Washing the dog is never a really pleasant experience but this place made it very easy and painless. I actually look forward to visiting (not sure about my dog...but I think she likes it too :). The owners (both the original and now the new owners), are true lovers of animals, and they are consistently willing to help you and show a great deal of attention to your animal, be it tips on healthcare, or a good ol' rub down to help relax them for their visit. Lots of dog treats flowing in this place too! I can't say enough about these folks, and I have no issues driving from Ashland to White City just for a visit. They put a barking dog in the back room while my cat was there. Her helper petted the cat while she started the nails, so lots of attention and a calm attitude. She's a purebred malamute so I wanted to get her started early so she understands that going to the groomers is a good thing. Penni did great with her. She looked beautiful, smelled wonderful and felt sooooo soft! She had her work cut out for her since she is puppy and it was her 1st time being groomed. There was a couple spots on Echo that she couldn't get to because of Echo not wanting her to. She explained that she didn't want to stress her out anymore than we already had being that she was doing something new and with out mom around. I did appreciate that. They make sure vaccines are up to date and have protocols in case a pet is sick/hurt which i appreciate. They also have a separate small dog area which is essential. I made sure my dog did not stay after group daycare hours so he wasn't put there. Overall I was happy with my daycare experience and would use them again for this service!
