From shags to riches! This place is a definite go to, especially if you got a goldendoodle! Our sweet 9.5 month, 60lb big lady of a pup was in desperate need of a hair cut. We've been to a few other places in town but were never satisfied. As an owner of a goldendoodle, the one thing you don't want is your dog coming out looking like a standard poodle. And finding that knowledge and experience to know the difference is tough. Our goldendoodle's hair was over 6 inches long. Not even exaggerating because a ruler was involved. We called Groovy Grooming and what I believe to be the female owner, was very friendly. When we arrived, our pup was extremely happy. She immediately jumped on her and felt the good vibes. It was clean and there was an open area for the pups to play. I'm not crazy about kenneling my pup and so even though the option is there, she lets them roam! :) She asked us what cut we wanted and we told her and showed her a few photos of what we wanted and didn't want. $65 later, she came out perfect! I am so pleasantly surprised at how wonderful a job she did. I can't imagine it being easy to trim (we cut about 5 inches off) a 60lb caboose but this place nails it! Thank you for a great experience, getting all of Piper's matted hair out, and for making smell so good and look so great. A definite great way to ring in the New Year!

Worst experiance ever!!!! they cut my little puppy in the back when trimming and left a long laceration on her back. then to add insult to injury they put a band aid on her causing even more problems for the vet when they had to remove it to give her 4 stiches and a shaved back TO THE SKIN!!! when I brought the near $400.00 bill back to the owners justin and shila they laughed it off saying it was not that big a deal and they did not think she needed stiches. In frustration I told them I would go to the better buissnes buerau and they said good for you and proove it, they wont do anything anyways. I am and also filing for formal suit against them not becasuse of the price but because of there lack of respect and disregard for my pet. I worry for anyones pet that goes to this place as they might get there animal back in a body bag or seriously injured from these criminals. read more

Went to pick up my dog with my debit card and was informed they only accept cash or checks. The owner asked me to go next door to the Ace Hardware store and buy some batteries so I could get cash back. It would have been nice if they had informed me of this when I scheduled the appointment. I don't see this information any where on their web site. The owner had a very flippant attitude Will not be a returning customer. read more

There were so many dogs being worked on. Very busy. Less than an hour they brought my dogs. The mom dog was damp but the other one was completely dry. I was surprised it was less than an hour for the two dogs. In other places I've gone to, it is almost an hour each to service. After i took them,They had no shampoo smell a nd noticed the mom dogs nails were not trimmed properly. Still long and very sharp instead if grinding down. I called the next day and said her nails weren't trimmed properly. So the person I spoke to said to come back to have them redone. I did. This was somuch of my time wasted and more nervous tension for the moment dog to leave her pups. The nails were trimmed properly now. Also, I was told one person was going to work on the dogs. I feel the way the both were so different and the time it took, there had to be more than one. She did not come ot to apologize about the trouble and had a different person take care of the nails. So, watching as the other employees work on the other dogs, and the amount of time spent washing, I feel they didn't do what I had asked to wash. It also takes time to wash and dry.. I will not be going back.

He 's my first "little dog", my little bf, my to-go buddy, my everything, my heart dog. Yes, I dress him in sweaters, bow-ties and I'm not proud. He was rushed to the nearest vet where he was diagnosed with a possible spinal cord injury and needed an MRI but misdiagnosed with other injuries they missed on X-ray. On my way, Dr. Jen happen to call and she said she'd wait for me at the clinic to do an exam. She felt he didn't need an MRI but instead anti-inflammatory to see how he responds. She gathered up a bunch of supplies and said he was headed home with her for the night. She kept him for three nights and during the day at the clinic , where he was waited on hand and foot (well, by one tech). He started to improve then she did her own set of X-rays, only to find out Spur had a crushed T5 and his rib was detached. It didn't look very good she told me I asked if there was any hope? She said" There is always hope". The next day he was better and by Thursday he was ready to come home. Fast forward a month and you'd see Spur is almost back to 100%. He can walk, run, jump and (still try to bite the Dr. Jen when he's worried). Dr. Jen did cold laser therapy, acupuncture and clearly has a special touch. The staff at Above and Beyond is amazing as well!! Professional, accurate and always call to remind you of your appointment. I'm more than happy with the services Spur & I received! My dog was originally diagnosed with an eye condition that requires him to be on a life long med or he could possibly go blind. Upon my visit to my current vet she advised she would renew his prescription. When I ordered it the prescription was denied by chewy stating that the vet denied it. When I contacted my current vet about this she advised me she would not renew this med until he was seen bye an ophthalmologist in Medford. I then asked why I wasn't told this at the visit or made aware when she made this decision, or any time that I called after to find out why and all she could tell me is she had poor communication with me. So I made an appt for end of March since this ophthalmologist travels to Redding. I asked Westside if they would renew his med until he could be seen. She refused. He ran out of his ointment and after 2 days his eyes got significantly worse so I made an appt at Shingletown vet. At my appointment with Shingletown vet they confirmed he had the eye condition and in fact needed the medication right away. He was then given his medication right there in the office, and they advised that they would renew his medication and there was no need for me to meet with the ophthalmologist and spend another $300.

Our cat is a Siamese-mix, with long hair, and about 16 years old, with the "don't touch me anywhere" attitude, when it comes to combing, brushing, trimming, cutting, etc. Groovy Grooming received her with a big smile and plenty of assurances that they could handle her; well, they did such a wonderful job of making her look so pretty, she now smells wonderful, no more fur-knots or tangles, and she's so happy now! AWESOME AWESOME is all I can say about this quaint little shop on Eureka way. My dog can be a real pain and I have witnessed this groomer take the time to give my dog EXTRA TLC. You will not find this kind of care in the big box shops. If you want your dog to have a great cut and be treated the way you would treat it I highly recommend Groovy Grooming Pet Cuts. There the best little shop in town, I have lived here for 30 years and have tried all the shops and this one is truly the best. read more

Incredibly friendly groomer and the price is one no one can beat. I'm still in awe of how well my cat was groomed and how happy she is now that she's clean. Took my dog Gracie to get her nails clipped. Gracie doesn't like having her feet touched let alone her nails clipped... Shila was awesome with Gracie. Gracie was fussing and freaked out.
