PA was very nice and skilled but now I can't get through on the phone to get my test results and they aren't billing my insurance correctly resulting in bills coming to me. My wife saw Dr. Gross in 2015 for the removal of a cancerous skin lesion. He was very thorough and his staff were very efficient. Fast forward to today. My wife and I were scheduled in this morning by the front office lady Anna. Only 10 mins to fill out intake forms. Wife and I were taken back and seen within 15 minutes. Dr. Gross and his PA Christen came in and started identifying problem skin areas. Then they started the biopsy procedure. The procedure was comfortable and not painful. Danna the medical assistant was exceptional. We were in and out of the office in about an hour. We experienced the same excellent service and professionalism that we had in 2015. Two stars for the warmth factor, but three stars for a correct diagnosis. I'd never been to a dermatologist before and the first time I was referred here, I left really upset because one of the front desk ladies was really unfriendly and the doctor got snappy with me after I asked him a few questions, saying I had to stop asking questions because he couldn't answer anything until I came back the next time for the biopsy result. I was stunned into silence because I only had a few questions and there are nicer ways of talking to a patient. The nurse/front desk lady was then really cold in handing me my biopsy after-care instructions and scheduling a future appointment. I felt like she resented me being there. I returned twice afterward, but the last two times the doctor was actually very friendly and outgoing - like a totally different person. I'm going to chalk it up to maybe he was having a bad day the first time I went, but it was still surprising. He did correctly diagnose me and was able to prescribe a good medication, so for that I give him 3 stars. If my encounter with him the first time had been like it was the last two times, I probably wouldn't feel so lukewarm about it all. I truly hope the front desk staff becomes warmer to their patients in the future and I hope it was a fluke that he was snappy that first time, because if a patient comes to their office all stressed out about his or her health to begin with, a lack of warmth isn't going to generate repeat business, correct diagnosis or not. read more

Dr. Gross was great and thorough. I cannot say the same thing about his staff Susan. My first time at this office, drove quite aways from where I live. Did not have the copay at the time of the visit. I had asked to be billed this one time and they allowed it. Made another appointment for a test. I received a reminder call but had to cancel. The next following day I received another call, this time from a Susan. She had asked why I canceled the appointment. First of all, no staff should ask for a reason why for a cancellation, it's HIPPA. I felt pressured to tell her the reason of the cancellation was due to death of a family member. After I had told her that, she continues to say "Well then I need to collect the $50 copay that was owed from prior visit. I have never not pay a copay. Her demeanor of the request of the copay was humiliating. I was so upset and humiliated that I had to call her back and told her how I felt about it and added that I will no longer have a second visit with that office because of that interaction with Susan. I am going to file a complaint and if asking for a reason for canceling an appointment is appropriate. read more

Dr. Gross is an experienced, knowledgeable, and caring physician. I've been seeing him for several years for basal cell cancer removal. He is highly professional, efficient and thorough in his diagnosis. When injecting anesthesia onto my face, scalp before removing cancers I only feel a slight prick, then numbing. The best doctor I have ever experienced in this area. He expeditiously, with only a slight scaring, removed, then stitched cancerous areas. I leave knowing that my face/scalp still look great and cancers are removed. I also appreciate waiting only a week or two for an appointment. My own health group after several requests lead time was two-three months. I am very grateful to be seen by Dr. Gross knowing that I am well taken care of by him and his professional and kind staff. read more

This Dr. Saved my life. Some of these reviews are very critical to his bed side manner but I did not have an issue with him. His staff was extremely busy but answered all my questions and followed through calls after. My Dr sent me to Dr. Gross due to him being such a good Dr. And he was right. I had a spot on my knock and on my head. Both over looked by another Dr. Dr. Gross was very concerned and took a sample for a biopsy. They were both positive for melanoma and since have been removed. If it was not for him showing suck concern I would have let it go. This could have spread and killed me. I am great full for this Dr. And his staff. I had a great experience with Dr Gross. I went in to have a spot on my leg and a lump on my face looked at. He did a biopsy on the spot on my leg, it wasn't cancer and he was able to burn it off without leaving a mark at all. He was unable to help me with my face but he directed me to a plastic surgeon who was able to help me. read more

Very disappointed this morning. I called Dr.Gross's office spoke to Christine and she refused to schedule an appointment for my father. I explained the background of my Fathers toe to Christine and what we have tried for the past couple years. I said Dr. Gross has taken care of me and my friends for years and I wanted Dr. Gross to take a look st my Father's toe to give his opinion. First I made sure his insurance was accepted and we have more than enough money to cover anything the insurance would not cover. I have never met a dr and a receptionist that are so beyond rude and unhelpful in my life. The receptionist kelly is beyond rude on the phone and in person. Dr Keith gross is rude and very condescending and didn't want to hear anything I have to say about my skin or what I've been dealing with. I will never go back there! My husband and I have been seeing Dr. Gross for over 20 years. He is a wonderful,extremely knowledgeable, and highly Professional dermatologist. He saved my life twice ! I'm not looking for a bed side manor doctor... as to some of the comments I read. When it comes to MY HEALTH I want a professional,who is highly knowledgeable in his field. I can never thank him and his staff enough for helping me & treating me for severe side effects I received after taking a Chemo pill my Oncologist prescribed to me . I had a horrible ugly facial reaction from the pill ... ugly red rash all over my nose, face, chin and scalp. Including Ugly sores and bleeding infected acne. Dr Grass immediately put me on Antibiotic & prescribe two-kinds of ointments. Finally after Two months of treatment , my face completely clear up ! We did virtual phone apt twice week , then weekly. Rude staff, unprofessional doctor... I was looking for a good dermatologist in the area ( Upland, CA) for months and this doctor's web page caught me. The lady on the phone was not helpful. She did not explain the procedure of the new patient's first visit, such as the payment. She only asked what I need to be seen for, and if I have insurance, which I do. It seemed like she was in a hurry and ready to hang up. On the appointment day, the front desk lady was not cheerful, and when I asked about the charges, she rudely responded as if I've insulted her. While filling out the forms, she yelled over the other side if I am at the right place, because she couldn't find my name, and apparently whoever made the appointment, got my name wrong! Then after I handed the papers, she asked me about the info which was already completed, and she missed looking at it. A friendly assistant took me in, and again asked me questions from the same forms I completed earlier. "Dr will be right with you".. but instead she returned and said dr recommended that I need to go to a place that handle cosmetic procedures... wow! couldn't you tell me this when I made this appointment. ... I was very disappointed, and asked her if dr even want to come in and check the lesion. She responded that dr doesn't want to waste your time... Really?! My time was already wasted, he doesn't want to waste His time. How could he tell the patient what to do without performing a proper exam? read more

I was unable to even make an appointment! When I called to make my appointment I was told that they did not have any record of my Authorization even though I had the hard copy in hand. The office manger told me I would need to call the insurance company and have them fax over the Authorization. So basically I have to do the job for them and when I said this she hung up on me! EEK! I have seen Dr. Gross every six weeks for over 20 years (for a chronic skin disorder), and am continually impressed by his professionalism, knowledge,competence, treatment and genuine concern for each and every patient. One good test of a Doctor's character is to look at his office staff. Dr. Gross' staff are exceptional! Most of his staff have been with him for years - like Kelly, Blanca and Fatima. Dr. Gross' concern for others goes far beyond the examining room. Dr. Gross recognizes the unique skin disorders caused by living in the High Desert and travels to several of the outlying areas (on a regular basis) in order to provide treatment. I visited Keith's office today and he was as cheerful as he always is. I spent my career in construction as a heavy equipment operator working outdoors and Keith has been treating my pre-cancer skin problems for over 20 years. You just can't ask for a better dermatologist, he is very professional and still takes the time to chat. Today we talked about the upcoming Christmas holidays, which I thought was going "above and beyond." Keith's office staff is always cheerful, too. How is this man a dermatologist? His waiting room was packed and I had to wait 40-minutes before being seen. Nobody else except for a teenage boy had any visible skin condition. Anyway, when I was taken in to a room, he finally came in with his assisting nurse and was friendly upon entering. I then began to explain what I had gone to see him for and he began looking at me as though I were nuts. He scoffed, "I don't think I'm the doctor to help you...you need a cosmetic doctor." I am having severe red rashing on my cheek with bumps. Soooooo, I need a cosmetic surgeon? Why, where, when, how did he go to medical school??? He can't help me treat this??! Ay caramba. I was furious when I left. I wish I would have walked out at the 15-minute wait time mark. Loser doctor. I wish I could get away with saying that to people in my profession. My wife and I have been treated by Dr. Gross for the last 17 years at his Victorville office (both the former 11th Street site and now his current Hesperia Rd. office), and I can declare plainly that we would never consider seeing another dermatologist. Dr. Gross has repeatedly demonstrated superior competence in treating skin disorders ranging from relatively innocuous conditions to more serious skin cancers. His professionalism, attention to detail, and concern for his patients are unparalleled. Additionally, we've come to truly appreciate the dedication and warmth of his office staff, from Kelly, his office manager, to include both front and back office personnel. Finding a trusted, medically competent dermatologist and friendly office staff to boot can be a very formidable task. Terrible experience especially on our recent visit. You are rushed in & out of the medical office. He (Dr. Keith Gross) has to see several times the patients as he once previously did due to Obamacare and health care issues according to his office. He chose to live over 60 miles away from where his medical office is based and where he works. That is not the patient responsibility or fault, that is his & his alone. Perhaps there are issues behind the scenes that contribute to the lack of proper medical care. He once was very caring, kind, time considerate, patient with his patients. Now as of the past 5-9 years due to democrat healthcare issues, he is always in a rush and to the determinate of his patients. We have known the doctor for around 20 years. This recent experience (2019) was very unfortunate & discomforting. We live in LA & OC & drive from those lovely areas all the way out to the city of Upland where his office is located for the past 25 years and receive this poor inexcusable care or lack there of. Guys my advise to you is to steer away from this rude doctor. Waiting time was more than 90 min. Doctor gross was careless and rude, refuse to listen and jump quickly to conclusions. By far the rudest staff and Dr! Not helpful at all he does baby steps in treatment rather then actually getting something done. No wonder the office is always empty! I've been seeing Dr. Gross for a little more than a year now, and have always been very happy with the care I've received at his office. His staff is thoroughly competent and efficient. On my visit today I thanked Dr. Gross for catching and correctly diagnosing a fairly rare and potentially serious blood disorder that I had no idea I had, it certainly wasn't the reason I was seeing him. He took the time to go over the potential problem with me and referred me to a Hematologist to help correct the problem. I have been going to Dr. Gross for over 20 years and I would qualify him as an outstanding physician in general and as a dermatologist in particular. As a former Ocean Lifeguard, I have battled all types of squamous and basal cell skin cancer - Dr. Gross is aggressive and assertive in his treatment in eliminating the skin cancer. He listens to my input and is very good about hearing my concerns and works with me for the best treatment depending on the location of the skin cancer as well as balancing our mutual schedules. The office staff is always professional and Kelly is the best office support/nurse! (I always compliment her on how I never feel the locals she injects when she is prepping me for surgery). I would highly recommend Dr. Gross for any dermatology requirements a person might have and especially for the treatment of skin cancer. read more

Dr. Gross literally saved my life! He spotted a discoloration on my cheek that several other doctors missed. After 2 biopsies it was eventually diagnosed as melanoma. If I had let it sit for another 6 months it could have spread to my lymph nodes and I'd be looking at cancer for the rest of my life. I've known Dr. Gross for ver 18 years. I went to Dr. Gross to have a spot looked at on my face that I was concerned was cancerous. He said he would have to cut into it to take a biopsy of the mark and was that ok. I was hesitant because it was on my face. I asked if there would be a difference in the cosmetic result if he did it as opposed to a plastic surgeon. He very rudely replied "I don't know, you would have to ask the plastic surgeon." I let him do the procedure anyway and only afterward did his office assistant tell me it would require a bandaid for 5 days of treatment. I was going out of state on a trip where photos would be taken and it would have been nice if they told me so I could choose to delay the procedure until I returned. He did not wash his hands before he touched my face and took a very sharp and unprofessional tone with me. When I returned for the results, he was also short with me, condescending and dismissive. The biopsy was negative, so thankfully I do not have to return. He also did not provide much information on have the mark removed when I asked about that. read more
