Long story short, I paid $118 and did not come home with any glasses. I was told that the frames would be an additional $100 because I required thinner lenses. Then after deciding to take my prescription elsewhere and just pay for the exam, an additional $39 was added. I asked why and she said that I had a special test done. I told her no one mentioned this to me and she said " well it's only $39". I feel gross. I'm really upset that they got away with it. The woman was making me feel bad for not having insurance and kept asking questions that were unhelpful. UPDATE: I was contacted by the regional manager who sincerely apologized for my experience. I appreciate his care and attention towards the matter. Hopefully he helps to align his staff on an ideal customer experience

I do however have 20/20 so he explained that tho I may struggle in more dimly lit areas, glasses were not necessary! Gave me a prescription anyways in case I wanted to see clearer, but assured me my eyes are developed enough to not need any help currently. Great place! In fact, he even assisted me in correcting my reading glasses prescription from the VA at no additional charge. A few days before my appointment, I came in to ask questions about my insurance and options. One employee was genuinely helpful and told me I'd receive $200 off my contacts if I purchased glasses. That information was the main reason I chose this location and scheduled my appointment. When I returned for my actual visit, the tone was immediately different. The front desk was dismissive, and once I was taken back, the majority of the staff was flat-out rude. The employee who originally helped me wasn't there, and every interaction after that felt like I was inconveniencing them just by asking questions. To be clear, the doctor and the male technician were the only positive part of this experience. They were both kind, professional, and genuinely helpful. Unfortunately, everyone else I interacted with completely overshadowed that. When I mentioned the $200 promotion I was told about, the staff acted like I made it up. They questioned how I "heard about it," then openly talked badly about their own coworker to me, saying she's "really old" and often gives incorrect information. That was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable, especially said in front of other customers. Instead of trying to help or clarify, the staff seemed to gang up on me. I was there with my mom, and neither of us felt respected. Getting basic answers required far too much effort, and no one showed any interest in actually helping. To make matters worse, when I finally tried to order glasses, I was told I couldn't get the frame or the color I wanted. When I asked if they could check availability at other locations, they said they couldn't do that. No alternatives. No solutions. Just dead ends. I already don't enjoy going to the mall because the environment feels rundown and stressful, so for me to make the effort to come in and be treated this way made the experience even more frustrating. Between the misinformation, rude behavior, and complete lack of customer service, this location is not worth your time. If you plan on using this company at all, do yourself a favor and go to another location. For what it's worth, Roger the manager was polite, but the behavior of the rest of the staff needs to be addressed, it's a clear reason why this location loses business.

I walked in today with my eyeglasses. They had stripped screw that would no longer stay secure. The…read moreyoung woman at the reception desk greeted me. I asked if they did small repairs. She said they could and took my glasses off to a counter a few feet away. She spent several minutes Trying to install the little screw that I brought her.she then tried to tweak the little hinges on the frames themselves and then brought them back and said she was sorry she could not take care of it. She recommended I take my Columbia glasses to the Oakley store since they sell Columbia glasses there. I asked her if she knew any nearby but she did not. I said thanks and I took my glasses over to Kaiser Permanente where I purchased them. When I got to Kaiser I explained to the person working at the counter that I could not get the screw in anymore as it was stripped and they said they could take care of it for me. Iopened up the glasses and handed them to a technician who pointed to the hinges and asked what happened. While the young lady at eyeglass world was working on them she crushed the hinges together with the needle nose pliers she was using, (where the screw goes into and the arm) would no longer fit in place. I was told they could try to fix them but there was a great possibility that it would fall apart and be ruined. The tech at Kaiser worked on them for about 15 minutes and gently was able to pry the little hinge open far enough to be able to get the arm installed and a new screw which was tapered in place because of the threads being crushed by the pliers. It is my fault for not looking at my own glasses before I walked out of eyeglass world but I really wish that the person working there would not be so deceitful as to Damage my property and then hand them back to me with a smile and recommend I go somewhere else. For this reason I cannot trust this company, specifically this location to work with my property or earn my money and respect.
