    Great tasting room.

Groth has long been a favorite. My wife and came here in 2016 on our honeymoon and had a great time. We came back a few months ago loved it again and now we're club members. First, the wines are fantastic. It's a more restrained style that might appeal to not-casual wine drinkers. If you want over-oaked, mega-purpled, high ABV juice you'll find other places. No Napa wine is cheap but the prices at Groth are very reasonable. Why? Because it's a family owned winery and they bought this prime Oakville real estate 40+ years ago. They don't have the same financial pressures some do that make $200 bottles a necessity for others. They're known for their cabernets (I believe they received the first 100 point score awarded Wine Spectator years ago) but they also have a fantastic Sauvignon Blanc. The building that houses the tasting room is flawless. It looks like it was built yesterday and every detail is perfect. There is no wear and tear. It looks like they repaint it every morning. Also, shout out to their ADA situation. There is an ADA entrance with bathrooms and an elevator that gets you to the main level. Gold star. We prefer to sit inside but there is a fabulous patio with great views. The best review comes from those leaving the Groth tasting room. Everyone is carrying a cream colored box with the Groth logo full of wine bottles.

Fantastic vineyard! I made reservations for a red wine tasting with the charcuterie option but unfortunately, we were running late due to the lack of Uber rides while in Sonoma. My sister-in-law called them to notify them about our very likely late arrival and they kindly accommodated us. When we got there, they had the wine lined up for tasting and the charcuterie plate. We felt rushed in the beginning but did not blame them at all since the late arrival was partially our fault. My sister-in-law was cold and they kindly offered us clean, warm blankets while we sat at the wonderfully decorated patio area overlooking the grape vines. It was honestly the most wonderful thing ever! Our visit here tops my Napa valley experience easily. The wine were fabulous. My husband had accidentally introduced me to their wine when he purchased a bottle as a Christmas gift and I ended up keeping them in mind while planning my trip to Napa. Absolutely no regrets. The staff were fantastic, the tasting was fantastic, and the wine I ordered to be shipped home met all my expectations. Right when we were leaving, the guy was even kind enough give us a free glass to enjoy while we waited for our uber to arrive. Truly the most fantastic of all visits!

Had a wonderful experience but we were running late and I ran up the stairs to what seemed like the main building to find someone. Little did I know as I was rushing to check in that I missed all the signs to CALL THEM. I felt like an idiot! But had a great educational tasting and purchased a bottle I was very pleased with. Definitely come in the morning because it's so peaceful and serene here.

Great location, excellent service, tasty wine. Mark did a wonderful job as our host for a 60-minute tasting flight. He was informative, easy-going, and fun. Thanks Mark! Stunning tasting room and barrel room. We had a great time!

Rodrigo was a knowledgeable and fun host to sit with. We enjoyed the outdoor seating and the view of vineyards and Oakville. The building is awesome and the history surrounding it is very cool. Amazing wines and an amazing host made for a great time. Reat for small groups and personable experience.

My group & I had a fabulous tasting experience. We made reservations for 2pm and were seated on time. The tasting room was gorgeous & sunlight filled the room. We had Rodrigo & Hiro as our guides, who were both personable and accommodating. Their knowledge and presence was professional and friendly, and they exceeded our expectations. The wine was exquisite & I love how this vineyard is still family owned. We will be back!

Breakfast of Champions! We went for the 10:15am tasting, Mark our guide is an absolute treasure. Wanted to cancel our other tastings and just hang out with him all day. I'm not sure if it's because of covid, but we had an outdoor patio, nearly private tasting!! Now I don't want to do it any other way. Wines are lovely, we bought a few bottles to take home. Gorgeous property outlook Pro tip: stop by Oakville grocery right next to the road you turn into Groth for coffee & breakfast (The spinach & feta croissant is usually hiding in the back corner of the case-get it warmed, you won't be sorry)

I had the good fortune of visiting Groth twice in the past two weeks during separate wine tasting trips. Of the 20 wineries that I visited in Napa and Sonoma, Groth was one of my very favorites. On my first visit here, I was part of a group trip and lucky enough to have lunch with owner Suzanne Groth, who couldn't have been nicer. She was so friendly and shared so much about her family's winery and the wine business in general. I learned a lot at lunch and then got to enjoy sipping some of their Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon while walking through their vineyards. I loved my first visit to Groth so much that I decided to schedule a tasting when visiting Napa again with two friends. We had fantastic personal service in their tasting room, where we had our own table and were walked through a flight of wines by Randall, a wine educator at the vineyard. He also shared a lot of information with us, let us revisit our favorites, and took us around the cellar where the barrels of Reserve wine are. The tasting fee here is $25, but refunded if you purchase at least $50 worth of wine. On a weekday, it was very empty, with just one other group who was gone before we were, so we essentially had the place to ourselves. I'm a huge fan of Groth and am strongly considering joining their wine club. I'm hoping my wallet will be able to forgive me!

The reserve barrel room. Great photo ops in here!

We were greeted warmly and whisked away to a semi-private room; only one other table had guests. Nicole took amazing care of us! She was super friendly and knowledgeable. We did the food and wine pairing, my first ever. Everything was so good. Our pairing began with Sauvignon Blanc and Dungeness Crab Fondue. I'm not a fan of white wines but this one was paired so well that I actually enjoyed it. The fondue was a small portion but they managed to pack it with lumps of sweet crab. Next, we enjoyed a Chardonnay with tempura green beans. Sounds a tad weird but it was perhaps our favorite part of the pairing. The green beans come with a spicy honey mustard dressing that my friend wanted to drink from her wine glass! We ended with wood grilled flatiron and two amazing Cabernets, my favorite wine. I enjoyed the 2016 Cabernet better. It was absolutely wonderful, smooth and exactly what the flatiron needed. I did end with the Kelleher Coffee. Not sure why I thought it would be hot, so don't be misled like I was. Despite being cold, it had great flavor. I will definitely keep this location on my short list of things to do when returning to Napa. I think you should, too.

Sustainable, vivid florals, with dramatic vineyard and mountain views? Yes, please! Checks all the boxes. The Kelleher Family Vineyard, located along Highway 29 in the famous Oakville Appellation, is in the heart of the Napa Valley. As you walk through to the entrance of the building from the parking lot (which are available on both sides of the building), you are greeted by some of the most vibrant hydrangeas. Directly behind the restaurant, there are outdoor seating areas both for dining and wine tasting. This outdoor area boasts sweeping views of the vineyard and tons of greenery. As you walk through the tables, various types of florals are planted through, adding some colorful contrast to the lush greenery outdoor space. Guests are then greeted with rows after rows of herbs, spices, and other leafy vegetables. Private wine tastings are available via appointment only create a special, exclusive experience. The vineyard has 10 acres planted only with Cabernet Sauvignon grapes and have named this beautiful piece of land "Brix Vineyard," after the namesake restaurant "Brix."
