We also had the pleasure of meeting the winemaker, who took the time to personally speak with each of us--such a thoughtful touch. The wines were unique and impressive--I'm officially a Sauvignon Blanc fan now, and even the Pinot and Malbec (not usually my go-to) were spectacular. We had a blast participating in Silver Trident's Potato Chips Extravaganza. We were sat in a beautiful room with a grapevine chandelier above us and big comfortable chairs to relax while we enjoyed several wines that were paired with different flavored kettle chips. The experience is mind blowing and oh so yum! Wines are fantastic on their own but enhanced with food. The owners enjoyed successful careers in the travel industry with one them being the co-founder of Oceania Cruise Lines, a favorite of ours. Silver Trident is a first class experience. Great experience here. It's a small, cozy, beautifully decorated tasting room that has an art gallery vibe (they sell the art as well). Staff are friendly, knowledgable, fun and helpful. The wines were very nice; the Rose is probably the best I've had, and the Pinot was the most interesting (I took home bottles of both). My group specifically did the potato chip tasting which was delicious and unique. To top it off we got to do our tasting in the dog-themed room, which was fun. I will definitely be back! When visiting Napa Valley, this was probably one of the wineries that gave us our most memorable tasting experiences. Silver Trident Winery is located in yountville, which is where Thomas Keller has four of his restaurants (including French Laundry). Silver Trident is an excellent winery and I really enjoyed their wine and potato chip tasting. Definitely a make reservation in advance of your visit. I felt that the staff was helpful and approachable and I learned so much from them about how wines can pair beautifully with salty food. We decided to schedule a wine tasting here during a 3 day weekend. The interior was decorated with all Ralph Lauren furniture and photos that are also for sale. The wines were great and it was fun feeling like we were in our own personal dining room. The winery had a small mom and pop feel and the service was great. One of my favorite wine tastings! The interior is beautifully decorated with everything from Ralph Lauren. Beth was amazing! It was my boyfriend's first wine tasting and she took her time to explain everything in detail! Who would've thought chips and wine go so well together. Things started out well as we were referred to this establishment from the local hotel. We were informed as a their "sister" we would receive complimentary tastings. we purchased some bottles and during our tasting the electricity went out. Come to find out we were charged for all of our tastings, etc. When we reached out to talk to someone about this both via email and phone we never received a response. Not once have they reached out so as to discuss as, per our hotel afterwards double checking with them, the tastings should've been compensated. At least some response but nothing. We purchased the Wine Tasting Flight of 5 Wines & Puppy Pairings. We were immediately greeted by Rosemary who set us up with a beautiful indoor setting with a cozy couch and area just for us. This was such a lovely stop today in wine country. Rosemary took care of us and I couldn't of been more pleased. Being in the industry, she treated us like family and even shared a library tasting. My friends and I became big fans of Silver Trident Winery by Ralph Lauren. We found this place by luck on an extremely hot day. We had 2 dogs with us. Although we didn't have a reservation for wine tasting, once they saw my dogs, they let us in because they worried about the dogs in the sun. Thanks to my dogs haha. This place is extremely dog-friendly. They even had a menu for dogs, which my dogs loved, and the wine was great, especially paired with the potato chips. We couldn't resist buying bottles of wine at the end of the tasting. They also gave us free gifts for my dogs--fabric water bags! Thank you for making our day. A friend and I came here for The Potato Chip Extravaganza. The tasting was a lovely experience, thanks to our sweet server. What left a bitter taste in our mouths was our initial "welcome" into the studio. We went straight for the front door, not knowing that we had to call the office to be let in (so as not to disturb the other groups inside). We were then let in by a staff member who condescendingly said that it would be great to be literate enough to read all of the signs outside. Although there was small signage out front that indicated tastings by appointment only, the instructions for entry further down the sign were not as well-marked. Every single tasting room is elegant class of itself. If you can score an appointment to visit, you will be impressed. I did the Potato Chip Extravaganza at Silver Trident which was definitely a unique wine tasting experience. Their tasting room has a very homey, cozy feel to it and each party gets their own tasting room. We started off with one white followed by reds and each wine paired well with the chips. The chip flavors weren't anything too crazy but it would have been nice to have tried some not too common flavors. (Our favorite chip ended up having the most unique flavor.) I'm not a red person but there was one that went down pretty smooth and it was paired with our favorite chip. That pairing (Voodoo with the 2019 red blend) needless to say was the winner. I also liked the chocolate chip we ended with from Kollar Chocolates. The owner stopped by later on during our tasting so that was a nice treat. It even gets better than that because the chef that makes your goodies is a James Bead nominated chef I was told. Didn't get a lot of details from the lady doing our tasting, just a lot about the owners and the Ralph Lauren stuff for sale. You get a few chips per wine (5 wines)... mostly reds- all mixed blends and from various locations. A bit of a hit or miss with our crowd.
