We liked how easy the ordering system was. You pick up a menu, choose a table, decide what you want, and then order and pay at the counter. They give you a number, and they bring your food and drinks to your table. It's straightforward. The fresh, local ingredients stood out, and we would recommend this place if you want a tasty and filling meal. The portions were just right for our big appetites. Pizzas come in 10" or 14". We got a 14" of The Gabriola Sands ($29) and a salad of the day ($20), plus a couple of drinks. The food came out in about 30 minutes. The salad was basic: arugula, some other greens, a few blueberries, a few toasted pecans, and a light honey balsamic glaze. Fine, but insultingly priced given how basic and insubstantial the portion was. The pizza was a typical veggie pizza, but the base seemed like it wasn't cooked long enough -- rather soggy and lacking any crispness. The toppings were somewhat generous. $29 for this was also rather insulting given how basic the pizza was. Super friendly service though and a really nice spot on the island.
