Absolutely fantastic! The coffee is rich, smooth, and downright delicious. It's just a shame the coffee shop is only open from 8 to 1. Sipping it while taking in the stunning marina views is pure bliss.

As the weather warms, it's the perfect time for patio dining! We visited Nanoose Bay cafe for the beautiful scenery and atmosphere. They open the floor length glass doors during the warmer weather, which gives you patio feels without needing to be right outside! (They offer patio seating too) Our server Megan was friendly, patient, and attentive. We ordered the full serving of Caesar salad ($17.75) to share between the 4 of us. The share plates had cute floral patterns, which was a pleasant surprise (as compared to boring white plates). Portion size of the salad was satisfying. I liked the crispy capers, since the salad itself was quite salty it helped that these weren't overwhelming. I also found the torn romaine lettuce pieces a bit big for bite-sized, which is what I usually look for in a good salad. We ordered two of the steak frites ($54.75), medium rare. The steaks arrived on a bed of fries nestled on wood blocks which was a clever presentation. The steaks were cooked perfectly, however there was an odd char to ours that made it too bitter to enjoy. The fries were fresh and crispy, but too salty for our liking. The highlight was the salsa verde for me, as it cut the fatty feel of the steak and butter. The braised beef ($32.75) came with a sensible portion of fried rice, which was fragrant and tasty. The crispy taro nest was a bit disappointing as it was just bits of fried taro sprinkled on top. I was expecting more of a nest-shaped effort. The beef was tender and flavorful. Finally, we also had the seafood gnocchi ($35.75). This was packed with seafood such as smoked salmon, prawns, scallops and some white fish. The gnocchi was fluffy and light, matched well with the delicious creamy dill sauce. Maybe it was due to the smoked salmon, but overall the dish was tasty albeit quite salty. Overall the atmosphere was wonderful, aside from the high concentration of flies that swarmed our table. Service is friendly and quick, could have used a few more water refills though! Food was decent quality but quite heavily salted.

Food was very good - appies, salmon, crab, pork. Wine was a good choice. Service was excellent. Ambience/view is to die for!

The biscuit was perfect--buttery, fluffy, and nicely crusty on the outside. The hollandaise was also quite good. However, the eggs were a bit overcooked for my preference; the whites were solid and the yolks were mostly set rather than runny. Overall, it was a very flavorful meal, and I will definitely return when I'm back on the Sunshine Coast

Opting for the Basted Basic, you can't mess up a solid plate including a nicely sized biscuit, a good portion of bacon, perfectly poached eggs and freshly mashed avocado. Wifey enjoyed her eggs benny, while my son was just happy to receive a squishy pig toy with his Piglet Pack (kids meal). They also have so baked sweet or savory pastries to go as well. There is both limited internal and outdoor seating, so I could imagine how packed it can be at peak hours. Order at the counter, and they'll deliver your items, and bus your own table (one of the workers graciously offered to do it for us).

Waitress walked off and never came back with my water. Had to track her down twice to request water before I finally got water. Ordered basted eggs with English muffin, got eggs over medium with whole grain toast. Politely said, I actually ordered English muffin, (did not mention that I didn't order fried eggs) she said "are you sure you don't want the toast? I said, no, I would like the English muffin. She walked off and served several other tables and started filling their drink orders. My husband tracked down a different person to get my English muffin, by then my not basted eggs were cold. I get it, mistakes happen to the best of us. A simple acknowledgment or apology would have been welcome, but not a word. It made me feel like I was the one being difficult and I hate being that person. It isn't cheap eats, so I simply wanted what I paid for. The fried potato hash towns were tasty and well seasoned, the eggs (however they were cooked) were good enough. Overall the food is what you expect for a traditional breakfast. If you don't expect amazing service you will enjoy the meal well enough.
