WOW! This may be my new favorite restaurant. Found randomly on Yelp while heading to Raleigh, I could not have found a better place. The made-from-scratch food, soups and sauces were incredibly fresh and delicious. Possibly the best ham and cheese sandwich I've ever had (same with the tomato bisque). Found this place on Yelp while looking for a mid-week brunch. The atmosphere is small and charming. It was rather quiet, but it was also a Monday around noon. We ordered a couple of drinks. I got an O'reillys peanut butter coffee, and my partner got a beer on tap. The wait staff was knowledgeable, friendly, and responsive. Food: I got the Mexican street corn flatbread. It was sooo good! I was pleasantly surprised to learn they had food here and it was delicious! The owner was super nice and visited with all his guests. My only advice would be to scale back the overly extensive and expensive wine list. That should be more reasonable. Also maybe some domestic beers but we will surely be back!! read more

Great little spot with a lovely atmosphere. The coffee is always great. I recommend the Bees Knees if you like specialty coffees. And for lunch or dinner, I can say enough about their flat bread pizza. Also the salads are a good size and delicious. It's a great space for happy hour too as they have a nice patio area to sit out on with friends. read more

We waited patiently for this spot to open the first time we saw that it was . We drove by, parked and knocked on the door. Rich and Sarah opened the door, cleared a space and we became patrons that day! One of the neat things about being part of a place from the beginning is that you get to watch the growth as others find this adorable wine bar/ coffee house on highway 73 just west of interstate 85. Richard and Sarah are super nice as a proprietor should be, but they are also authentic good people. We enjoy the large tater tot basket with all of the goodies on top as our starter and then both have a something else. I usually go for the charcutier board and Steve tries whatever sandwich inspires him. They have a really great oven so things can be crispy and done perfectly and not "half way sams" like some of the other venues that offer accompaniment types of food with their wine. I wanted to like this coffee shop. it's in a nice location, off the path of heavy traffic which makes it comfortable and cozy, and the interior was very nice but...my very first visit was met with 2 strikes. 1. I found hair in my food. It was along string of very light colored hair and all of the ladies working there had blonde hair. 2. When I brought it to the staffs attention, the manager/owner apologized and said he examined the food, found the hair and it was "very dark colored". Well, this was either additional hair which I did not find or I felt he was trying to imply something as my hair is dark colored. I did receive a refund but way, I was not happy with how it was handled so I will not be returning. Good luck and make sure you check your food. read more

The owner is so kind & nice to every single person who walks into the restaurant - they actually care if you're enjoying your meal & experience. The food is always fresh and-- I normally feel sick when I go out to eat, but I NEVER feel sick after leaving here (hence, all the fresh Ingredients). The ambiance of this restaurant was impeccable, with a a fireplace, wood furniture, and a large outdoor seating area. Many wine selections and a large food menu. However... the service was poor, and my friend and I felt like burdens to the staff. With us being the only table and seeing three waitresses, I thought we would have received refills of our waters and wines, at the very least. The charcuterie board was mildly disappointing and not worth $20. It's so unfortunate we had this experience because this restaurant has so much potential! I would have gotten one or two more refills of my wine if anyone ever came over. I also had to approach a staff member inside to ask to pay my bill, not sure if that's standard practice or we were straight up ignored. I suggest hiring more friendly and experienced staff members. We ordered the lobster Mac & cheese, grilled cheese sandwich and a pepperoni flat beard. My daughter got a coffee drink. Everything was great. Fantastic atmosphere, warm and welcoming hosts and staff. The chicken salad is the best I've had hands down. We enjoyed the Honey and Ginger meatballs. The owner stopped by and spoke to us, he mentioned that menu items stating spicy are going to be spicy, the BBQ Flatbread did not disappoint. My wife and I stopped in this evening while our daughter was practicing soccer just down the road. We had intended on working from the car but, very glad we didn't. The ambiance was great, the decor was nice, warm, and inviting, and we received great service. Several times during the dinner the owner stopped by and checked on us and also spoke briefly. We love small businesses and this was a perfect experience. We had time to enjoy a beer, the amazing pork sliders, and loaded tots which were our favorite all while handling some business of our own. Went here to meet up with a few friends I haven't seen in awhile and catch up. From pictures online and ambiance when we got there we presumed it would be somewhere we would be able to get coffee and hang out for awhile. We ordered coffee and pastries, the service was prompt, but they gave us coffee in to-go cups which seemed a little strange due to the fact we were sitting at a table. I ordered a signature drink and my friend ordered a vanilla latte and we both felt like the coffee was average. My friend raved about the Apple fritter and said that he would be back again. After awhile some staff cleared away our plates and while we had finished our food, we still had our coffee. The staff continued to come over and ask if we needed anything constantly and we got the feeling that they wanted us to leave so we did. Overall decent ambiance for a coffee shop but loses points for the way the staff made us feel rushed and the mediocre coffee. read more
