I moved from Arizona to Rock Hill, South Carolina a few years back and one thing I really missed was Postino's. I had gone to several locations in Arizona and they were all delicious. I can definitely say that this one is just as amazing! I've always been a big fan of their board and bottle deal and my favorite wine at Postino's is their Perfekt wine. It's perfect! If it's your first time here, you definitely have to try the bruschetta because it's the best I've had. You'll get to choose four different types among your board. My favorite bruschettas are the prosciutto and fig, the smoked salmon, the burrata, and the apple and brie. I also recommend the skewers. They are always cooked to perfection. If you're not the biggest wine aficionado, they also have cocktails and beers (and of course water, soda, mocktails). I joined Ben here for lunch on a sunny, Spring Thursday. He had been wanting to check it out so we did, it was very slow for a week day lunch. The first thing you NEED to know is there is PAID parking. You get the first 30 minutes for free. You use an app you can scan which requires your tag number. We had great service from Will who was knowledgeable about the menu. We both had the two and two special. You get a choice of several half-panini sandwiches and either salad or soup. I had the beef tip with cauliflower soup, it was good, comes with a side of au jus and had good flavor, just enough for a light meal. They have a very nice bar with all the 'top shelf' options and the menu is good thought a little pricey in my opinion. Me and Postino have a really good thing going on for brunch lol. I'm not out this way too often but when I am I really enjoy visiting Postino. The staff is always in a good mood, kind and helpful. The food and drinks are always delicious! I came back for brunch with my best friend this past weekend and just really enjoyed the vibes and the food. We stopped into Postino between soccer tournament games looking for an enjoyable, easygoing lunch that could also be flavor-able and good fuel for our athlete. The kids' menu really impressed me. For just $7, it included a full, well-rounded meal (photo attached). The quantity was spot on and far from basic. The $6 pitcher of beer special was another pleasant surprise. There were two options, and we went with Edmund's Oast's "Something Cold," which lived up to its name -- crisp, light, and refreshing. Perfect for a mid-tournament refresh. I also have to mention the vintage cigarette vending machine that serves as the hostess stand. It was such a creative, nostalgic touch. We decided on just doing shared bites, starting with the mushroom fondue which was creamy and full of flavor. Added the chef's board to get different meats, cheeses, etc as well. Really well balanced with the flavors. Only complaint is that both dishes the breads were more sparse and so we had to ask for extra. The hot donut bites were to die for, especially with the different dipping sauces. The staff was hit and miss. There seemed to be confusion as to who had our table and so we were forgotten about a few times, and then suddenly we were waited on constantly. This time, I made RSVP via Toast, and brought my 2 boys to try their amazing Brushettas! We three ordered "The Board". This time, I chose the Brie, Apple & Fig Spread, Prosciutto de Palma, French Onion, and Supreme (Chef's Choice)...and loved ALL! I liked the Brie, Apple & Fig Spread and the Prosciutto de Palma the most...so chose these 2 again this time. I really liked the 2 new flavors I tried as well...French Onion and Supreme. I also enjoyed their Aperol Spritz. Very light, refreshing...and plentiful! My boys liked the Brie, Apple & Fig Spread the most. So I guess this flavor got the most votes from us. I visited Postinos for the first time on Friday as a treat to myself for Mothers Day. I must have come on an off day because it was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I sat at the bar, you could immediately feel tension from the bartenders? Not directed at me but just bad vibes. I was alone so I didn't have a conversation to keep me busy, so with wandering ears I could hear the one bartender swearing and sniving at other servers? Or the managers? I looked over and saw a table full of what looked like managers. The one bartender who was solely taking care of bar guests seemed annoyed as well. I was a bartender for years and my natural reaction is to be over nice and say thank you way too many times - even with that I felt SO unwelcomed. I ordered a charcuterie board, after an annoyed recommendation from the bartender. The meat was served in a slab, as if it was pre portioned and then just thrown on the board. I asked to move to a seat that overlooks the main street. Towards the end of my visit a manager needed to help with my check, I had a giftcard that wouldn't scan, he seemed annoyed to have to help. Even though this place has a great location, atmosphere, and menu, the bar service has been consistently disappointing every time we've visited. The bartenders come across as dismissive and inattentive. It's extremely difficult to order drinks or food, and when you politely try to get their attention, you're often told to "wait" while they continue standing around or talking. One bartender in particular spent most of the night walking around complaining and socializing with a few friends at the bar instead of actually helping customers. Meanwhile, guests were waiting for refills, trying to place orders, and being ignored. The biggest issue happened during our last visit when a wine glass fell and shattered from the rack above the bar. Glass went across the top and back of the bar and potentially near the ice bins and bottles. There was very little urgency to properly clean the area, check on customers, or replace drinks that may have been exposed to broken glass. It was honestly concerning from a safety standpoint. We understand busy nights happen, but attentive service and basic safety should still be priorities. We recently decided to try out Postino for lunch and split two bruschetta boards. I knew going in I wanted to get the ones that had a little more to them than the ones that just a slice of cheese and fruit or deli meat. What we got: Ricotta, Dates & Pistachio - this was okay, we ultimately wanted more flavor. French Onion - very good, lots of onion flavor. Cheesesteak (Chef's Choice) - good, but we definitely did not get cheesesteak vibes as the beef tasted stewed like, almost like a soaked pot roast. Give us some steak with peppers and onions and cheese. Mushroom & Mascarpone - very good, lots of mushroom flavor. Prosciutto Di Parma Fig & Mascarpone - this was fine, but we wanted more flavor. Burrata, Bacon, Arugula, & Tomato - SO SO GOOD! Lots of flavor. Traditional bruschetta flavor with addition of bacon. Warm Artichoke Spread - very good. Smoked Salmon & Pesto - this was fine, just preferred others instead. Ultimately, we had a hit with half and a miss with half. We did enjoy trying all these different flavors and love the idea behind it, I just wish they were executed better or had more thought into them. Let me just say that I may have made a mistake by comparing Postino to a restaurant I love at a winery in California. Even still, my experience here is categorized as a one-and-done. We came in on a random Friday evening about 6pm. The place was busy and the menu looked inviting. The wine menu is pretty good when it comes to options but the options suck. Just a lot of cheap wine but nothing really good unless you were prepared to buy a bottle. We got Meatballs and Goat Cheese from the Snacky Things section and, I don't know if I've ever had better meatball at any other restaurant! They were amazing. Cooked to perfection. And the goat cheese added great creaminess. I got the Caprese Panini and my hubby got the Italian Beef Dip Panini. Mine was better than his but mine wasn't anything special, IMHO. The bread tasted dry and it seemed like half the sandwich was missing the basil pesto and without that it didn't have a whole lot of flavor. And the beef dip also had very little flavor. We both agreed it was nothing to write home about and he said he wouldn't get it again. The potato chips were house made but tasted burn and we didn't eat most of them because they were hard to chew. Our server was not very attentive and forgot to even get our food order after he brought us our drinks. We waved him over and he asked if "everything is ok," and we said, "we'd like to order." Other servers were dancing circles around ours. He also did this weird and uncomfortable thing where he didn't come to the center of our table any time he talked to us. He stood out of eye line, BEHIND my left shoulder. There was plenty of room between us and the table next to us and yet he never came close to that space so I wouldn't have to keep turning in my chair. It was bizarre. For me, there really was nothing to write home about even with the meatballs being outstanding. I would have given a three if our server had been better. read more

It is a Wine Cafe, so many wine bottles are arrayed on the walls. And the other walls display row upon row of audio head sets. Lots of appetizers, Snacky Things, such as skewers, olives, servings of meatballs, grilled cheese triangles and shrimp scampi. Boards are like platters, but rectangular in shape. They are little open-faced sandwiches or bruschettas, with all sorts of toppings. Soups and salads. Paninis of many varieties. These are closed sandwiches and grilled, severed with a small salad or something else you might want. Wife had a bruchetta board ($17.25) and I had a pick 2 ($16.50) giving me half of a panini and a salad or dessert. My salad was a very nice kale and lots of other stuff bowl and it was great. Desserts and a large wine list. To us it was OK and a bit expensive. We did think that this would be a great first date place or for a group that just wanted to snack, chat and drink wine together. Great decor and the restaurant is very elevated, however might be too dim or dark for some people's liking. Although food here is on the pricey side, when you know to order the right items, you will leave feeling full or needing to take a to-go box with you. Here, I ordered the Green Garden Chicken Chop. This salad is a huge one! It's refreshing and very finely chopped. My favorite breads from the Bruschetta Boards are: 'Brie, Apple and Fig' and the 'French Onion'. We were able to snag a seat at the bar, the main floor was packed, but we were able to order from the entire menu and started with some small bites before moving on to the bruschetta. A really cool way to order bruschetta with various toppings and they slice each one 4 ways so it's made to share. I forget the flavors that we ordered, but they were all phenomenal and I'd happily eat them all again. High quality ingredients and made with a lot of care. so this is feeling like a Chris Columbus replay: left home with only a vague idea of my destination... didn't really know how I was going to get there, not sure where I was when I arrived, absolutely gonna make stuff up about where I've been when I get home!! left the house heading south and kept at it... left, right, left until Voila! parked the Baja in the first spot on Upper Avenue then parked myself at the bar as a single, Jay comes down with water and menus to ask about things and stuff and I eventually settle on a negroni and the meatball w/ goat cheese thing... meatballs are rumored to be house made in the finest tradition except smaller so a bunch of them come out in a deep dish served under pomodoro and topped with goat cheese: meatballs were light and fluffy and delicious with a few slices of fancy toast to soak up the juice and minimize spillage. the cheese is less goaty than is typical (IYKYK) and I am saddened some, but not enough to dock a point... I finished with a cup of today's soup (french onion) and was quite pleased: salty but not too salty, croutons floating and the cheese sunk to the bottom just as god intended...
