After multiple unanswered calls and messages throughout that week, I visited the office in person to inquire about the status. At that time, Marjorie informed me that Richard had just returned from the hospital and had not yet been able to begin working on our taxes. While I understand unforeseen circumstances can arise, I would have appreciated proactive communication and the option to have another preparer assist us. Unfortunately, no such communication or alternative was offered. I chose to proceed and give the benefit of the doubt. By March 29, our taxes were completed, and I visited the office to sign the paperwork and paid for electronic filing. As of April 20, we had still not received our refund. Upon contacting the IRS, I was informed that no return had been filed under my Social Security number. After again being unable to reach anyone by phone, my husband went to the office and was told by Rina that their system is backlogged and that our taxes had not yet been filed. Rina also informed me that their system backlog was an ongoing issue since before I dropped off my taxes on 3/7/26 so I do not understand why nothing was ever communicated to us. This was extremely concerning and frustrating, as we were never notified of any delays or system issues. At no point during my interactions with Lehua (March 7), Marjorie (March 14), or Richard (March 29) was any potential delay or backlog communicated. The lack of transparency and failure to provide timely updates is unacceptable. Although Rina apologized and provided a contact number for Miriam (owners wife) I have been unable to reach hGiven the circumstances, I am requesting a full refund and will be taking our tax filing elsewhere. Clear and timely communication is essential in matters of this importance, and unfortunately, that standard was not met. As a result, I have lost confidence and trust in their services and will not be returning.

They have parking available, and once we checked in, I believe our wait was only about 20 to 30 minutes, which honestly was not bad at all. They even had snacks available while we waited. Once we were called, Noemi was incredibly friendly and helpful. Even though we ended up owing taxes, she took the time to carefully review everything with us, which definitely eased some of the sting. Luckily they accept walk ins. I signed in about 1040am and got called around 130pm. Mrs. Ramos was quick and kind. Seems like when I got to her all of my information was inputted into her computer. Might've been her assistant that sat next to her helped her input all the info's, to speed up the process. I sat with Mrs. Ramos for about 10 minutes and I was done. The outcome of my tax return was not the outcome I wanted but oh well. It is what it is. I feel no matter what, taxes is always owed on my part. They charged $150 for service which I think is fair, based on what others are charging to do taxes now days. If you do decide to come here, expect to wait. They do have a lot of clients and new clients as well, based on my observation while I sat and waited. The waiting area is clean and comfortable. They provide snacks to purchase, cost is about a dollar each. Parking can be a little difficult, as they have about 6-8 stalls in front of their office. I believe you could also park on the street and walk over. Location is right across the street from Honowai elementary. Not sure if I'll return next year, but I'm glad I gave them a chance and I'm glad they took me in as a walk in because I needed to get my taxes done ASAP.
