Fast forward to Grout Masters. Jessica has restored my bathroom to like new condition and I feel confident that the workmanship will stand up to the test of time. Her hours are a bit non traditional, but she tells you in advance when she'll come, calls if running late and is a workhorse when at your house. She is also very thoughtful - I hurt my ankle and texted her to say she should let herself in when she got here because I wasn't able to move around much. She immediately called and asked if I wanted her to stop and get an ACE wrap for my ankle on the way to the job. That is definitely next level service! I would not recommend Jessica. I wish I had used a different company. She did a subpar job on our grouting, electing to do only some of it because the other areas looked fine. Then our bill was twice as much as the original quote when we added a few small things. After paying the bill in its entirety early because she was so anxious about getting paid she did a sloppy job on the rest of the work. Not to mention she said it would take 3 days but ended up taking 6 and coming at odd random hours and staying until 7 or 8 pm at night at the expense of our discomfort having her in our home that late. Mixed feelings about our experience with Jessica. The cleaning of the shower went well but she used a darker grout than what was in the shower to do the grout repairs without showing me how it would look. Now the grout looks streaky, going from light to dark to light again. I would have appreciated better communication during the work so I could have chosen a lighter color even if it wasn't a perfect match. When I asked her to fix the color of the grout, she explained would charge me $800. I will go with a different contractor to repair the problem she created. read more

I'm glad I found Grout Master. A contractor did a relatively poor job of constructing a "closet shower" about five years ago. Immediately there was staining the the corners and along the edges of the floor, no matter what I did to maintain it. Being concerned about it deteriorating; I called several tile companies. None would come do an estimate. One wanted me to "send pictures". And none would provide more than an very broad, "don't hold us to it" estimate -- which is no estimate, at all. Jessica first gave it a good deep cleaning. Then she did regrouting, and finally, sealed the tile in the shower. The result? It looks and works like brand new! She was on time, communicated well, was professional and respectful. I'm only sad I didn't take "before" photos; the after is wonderful. read more

We remodeled our master bathroom and the tile installer couldn't get rid of the Grout Haze after 3 days of cleaning. Called Grout Masters and they came out the same day to give us a bid. We had put up with our poor grout for 15+ years. I tried DIY options. But we could never get the powder room counter clean, and pulled down the look of the room. Same in the basement tub, where grout has worn away since the bathroom was put. Jessica and Grout Master did an excellent job. The bathroom counter is bright and sparking. Terrible experience! We had an appointment scheduled for an estimate with an arrival window of 2-5pm. We couldn't use the shower for 2 days prior so it would be dry. We received a call just prior saying they needed to cancel due to weather and rescheduled for a week later. So we again can't use the shower and wait at home and no one arrives and no call- Jessica was supposed to be there. We call at 5:15pm and someone else answers and says they will try to text her. She calls at 5:25pm and says she will arrive in 25 minutes- my husband says "that's very late". She never apologized and just says very rudely "well I can just not come and you can hire someone else". So given her clear lack of responsibility and no acknowledgment of any inconvenience my husband said "I guess that's what we will do" and she hangs up on him. Things happen and appointments need to be rescheduled - even twice, so a simple "I'm sorry I'm running late and didn't call you" would have made all the difference. I'm guessing Jessica's father would be disappointed in the way she's running the business he built and handed over to her. read more

Jessica quoted $1,925.00 to do lots of calking work and tile cleaning in two of our 23 year old bathrooms. I thought her quote may have been high but after talking more to her, I was confident that she was the one and so I did not call anyone else. Both of the bathrooms turned out almost like new, much better than I thought possible. I definitely got my moneys worth and I am highly recommending Jessica. If you are looking for a fancy person to do your job, you may want to call someone else. Jessica seems very hyper and it seems that when working with grout, she puts all her high energy into the job and is extremely well focused, very hard working and she takes extreme pride at making things beautiful. What a disappointment! We moved into an amazing condominium downtown, but the bathroom was a little dingy. We specifically noticed the grout looked dried out and a little discolored, sort of like the "before" picture on the Grout Masters website. I called several places, and they were the first to respond. The guy who came to bid the job seemed to know his stuff. He said they could clean and refresh the grout in my small bathroom for $450. I was under the impression that it would look better after the service. They scheduled the job for about a week out. On the day of the service, the contractors didn't arrive on time. I called the number and was told they were on their way, which proved to be true. The people who arrived an hour later did not seem to have quite as much skills as the estimator. They began working in the bathroom, and asked if I minded if they played their music while they worked. I said I wouldn't mind. Turns out they really like the classic rock, and they like it pretty loud. A little unprofessional, but hey, what do I care. After three hours, they were done. The results were awful. The places where they re-grouted didn't match the color of the original grout. They peeled the paint and the top paper layer of the drywall off the countertop. The spots they grouted were wide and uneven, and it looked exactly like it would have if an untrained husband did the work, which was the whole point of hiring a contractor. When we voiced our concerns, we were given the runaround and told that it couldn't have possibly been made to look better without a complete re-grout. Really? That's why we hired you-to avoid that. You told us it would look better, but in fact it looks worse; no cleaner, poorly done, and ruined paint. They did not seem interested in making it right. I paid them $425 to make my bathroom look worse than it did to begin with; I would strongly advise NOT hiring this company. read more

As the other comments point out: late arrival, not arriving prepared so having to drive to Home Depot to get supplies, loud-loud music along with yelling and loud talking from Jessica all added up to be a bad experience. All of these things could have been tolerated if I received a good result. I had the grout taken out and replaced in my shower along with being sealed (supposedly). I do not believe the grout was ever sealed. It now get's black within a week of deep cleaning. It never did that before. I had other work done that was sub-par. When Grout Master's left our house after two days working on our limestone floors and bathroom, I was delighted with the transformation from dingy to sparkling. We had kept these clean but, had not had any grout sealing and deep cleaning since we had moved in 16 years earlier. As Jessica and her crew worked, she also suggested a few repairs that made a difference in the final appearance as we were preparing our house for the market. My main suggestion is to take the time to clarify the work order and change orders in written form if they come up. I had the grout redone on all of my counters and then sealed...supposedly. Within a week I noted that the grout was dirty looking again. I am a clean freak and clean my counters after every use. I contacted GM and voiced my concerns. After arguing via emails basically they said they sealed them and do not cover staining. I am not arguing that they did not seal them only that it did not take and needed to be done again. They refused. It is now a few months later and I feel my counters actually look worse in many spots than before. I do not understand how they can say they do not cover staining when the entire reason I had them redone was to seal them to keep them looking good for a long time. If sealing is not protect what the heck is it for. Even their website says the following...."Protect your grout from stains by having us seal it. Sealing protect your grout by preventing stains from settling into it. Regular cleaning is necessary but stains that can cost you time and money wont instantly set in. Save yourself time, money and frustration by preventing problems in the first place" I am very disappointed that I spent over 500 bucks to have my counters look as bad as they did before. Also, it is not good practice to argue with a customer the way I was argued with. I have the emails to show exactly what was said. read more

The refreshed an older stone fireplace with an enhancer sealer. Jessi, the owner, and her crew were pleasant, worked hard, and left our place looking much better than when they started.
