The technician named Derek…read more The previous tenant cooked frequently, so the kitchen floor grout had accumulated quite a bit of grease over time. In the bathroom, as we know, not every tenant wipes down the shower walls after each use, so the grout, bathtub edges, and caulking had also deteriorated from years of moisture exposure. The grout company did a deep cleaning, repaired the deteriorated areas, recaulked where necessary, and sealed the tile and grout. The kitchen and bathroom tile floors now look almost like new. I think this type of restoration is well worth the cost, particularly compared with replacing otherwise good tile. I especially like having the shower-wall grout professionally sealed, and their lifetime warranty on the sealed areas adds significant value.

Unfortunately, I learned the hard way that their white grout can have a tendency to turn yellow over time. I also later learned that many professional tile installers refuse to use Laticrete white epoxy grout because of this issue. Because epoxy grout cures as hard as cement, the problem was extremely difficult to fix. To make matters worse, the contractor who originally installed it refused to fix the problem. I spoke with several professionals and was told that the only options were either to remove and replace all of the tile or use a grinder to remove the yellowed grout, which could chip and damage the marble. After doing extensive research, including using ChatGPT, Sir Grout was recommended as the best company for the job. There was only one person at Sir Grout who had both the experience to remove Laticrete epoxy grout and the willingness to take on such a challenging project. His name is David, and he is awesome. Not a single tile was damaged during the process, and he used a different manufacturer's white grout that will not turn yellow. Sir Grout also provides a one-year written guarantee on the grout work. In addition, the white tile itself had begun to show yellow staining, and Sir Grout was able to remove almost all of those stains as well. Needless to say, I will be using Sir Grout enthusiastically for any and all future projects involving tile or grout. "$8,844.00 is paid to Sir Grout Seattle, LLC. OLD SCHOOL INTEGRITY & WORKMANSHIP…read more David's Flooring did a wonderful job on our new house in Issaquah. We are very pleased with the results. From the beginning, Eric and Cole were very responsive & helpful in assisting us with material and color selections and suggested products with superior quality & durability while staying within our budget. After months of shopping around, we decided to have David's team install LVP, carpet and handle all our millwork and casings which included complicated compound angles on our staircase. Their workmanship and attention to detail was very professional and more than met our picky expectations. The old-school honesty and integrity of everyone on David's team was truly refreshing. Eric managed our project and kept it on-time and on-budget. His attention to communication was impressive & timely even at 10pm at night and on weekends. We requested a few change orders along the way and they were charged at straight time and materials without the extra mark-ups most contractors tack on. Adrian was our onsite supervisor and was there every minute of every day. The flooring lead, Sergey and the carpet lead, Hector kept me informed and made suggestions that improved our end result. Over the last 42 years our family has built a number of custom homes and the experience with David's flooring was by far the best and was actually enjoyable. We would/will definitely use Eric and his team again and highly recommend them.

I did my homework on flooring/carpet in the area and David's flooring take a look. They were the only company willing to come take a look and get measurements in person. Additionally, they were the most responsive and prompt with quotes, estimates, and pricing. This job involved removing some laminate flooring, lining and cutting parts of the floor precisely, and ensuring the transition is smooth. They were able to supply my favorite plush carpet and take meticulous care of the hard floor trimming. The workmanship was top notch and glad I trusted David's flooring to make a big wish come true.
