We just completed a full flooring project with David's Flooring of Seattle -- refinishing the hardwood on our first floor and replacing all carpet on the stairs and second floor with COREtec LVP. I had a small room in my townhome that needed to be renovated. It was the only room that had carpet. I made the initial assessment, which was much easier and faster than expected. They gave me a ball park price, and directed me to the showroom. I wanted flooring that matched the other room of the house. I was provided with samples (kind of large slabs), and was free to bring back the samples whenever it was convenient to me. Overall, they were relaxing to work with and not pushy at all. I made the date for them to come to rip the carpet out, and install the flooring. They were able to complete one room in one day. My request was finished within 3 weeks of contacting David's flooring. The additional great thing is that since my floor was already pretty level, the need to level out my flooring was cleared out of my invoice. So, they gave really great estimates. There were no hidden fees or surprises when I worked with them. Overall, that room was about 2k. The convenience and quickness was really worth it to me. I was tired of experiencing issues with Home Depot carpet installation (through HOM services) and found David's flooring conveniently located in Kent in the valley. I needed to get carpet installed in two bedrooms so we could move into them and not live in boxes for an extended amount of time. I called them up and spoke with the owner, David who told me I could come down immediately to their showroom. I went in and from there, Anton helped me fantastically to select carpet, pad & schedule installation very quickly and kindly. The price was very reasonable and unlike Home Depot (HOM) they could give me a set day for installation right away with multiple options for days that worked for me. After experiencing unprofessionalism from another flooring business, I immediately went to David's flooring from all the good reviews when researching my next flooring business. This is a long one but TLDR: Quite an unexpected experience met with professionalism and understanding despite the shortcomings of my LVP flooring project. ____________________________________________________________________________ After reaching out, I was contacted by Erik after visiting their studio showroom down in Kent. Though something to note for those into cyber security, their email is not recognized as secure and it immediately went to my spam folder. So keep that in mind if you use encrypted email like protonmail. But I digress Erik met with me and I gave him my budget, flooring type, and time frame and he ensured that everything will be taken into account. Long story short I had my property measured and was told ahead of time that my subflooring was most likely cracked and needed to be releaveled with concrete which would put me overbudget. I also needed approval from my HOA getting documents such as proof of valid licenseship and flooring materials that meet or exceed standards for the property. Thankfully Erik was able to give that to me in a timely and professional manner which as mentioned before, was not provided from the business I attempted to get flooring services from. Crew came by on the registered date and took out my old 80s carpet flooring and unfortunately the worst case scenario came up where my subflooring needed to be releveled with concrete costing me a few thousands more over my budget but urgently needed to be done to protect me in the long run. While I do not blame David's flooring for this, I am happy that Erik was able to disclose this for me ahead of time to help cushion the shortcomings and stress that it brought me and still gave the go since the building was built from the 80s. Crew then did the necessary work putting in new concrete, respected my appliances, put everything back, tried to fix my toilet which ended up cracking during the flooring installation which was not their fault as it was also old, and ensured that all my LVP flooring was put together in a professional manner. 2 weeks later writing this review, my flooring looks great and im enjoying the new LVP Gaia flooring that I have. I know that this will increase the value of my house bringing me equity and my feet feel very comfortable. Despite going overbudget and the lost time due to the concrete drying on my property, Erik and his crew at David's flooring did a good job respecting my time, helping me with the shortcomings, and installing my flooring in a competent manner. I can't say enough positive things about David's Flooring. I had them install high end engineered wood flooring throughout the house, do custom stairs and railings, and install all new moldings. For background, I spent weeks reviewing the best flooring companies in the Seattle area before starting the bidding process with David's and two other good companies. The bidding process with David's was outstanding. Very clear and detailed bid. They beat competitors on pricing and service. My goal was to find the best, not the cheapest but I can't imagine finding someone to do this quality of work for less. We trusted David so when he recommended leveling the main floor to get a flawless result we did it. After I approved the bid, everything went perfect. Great communication and great follow up from David. I added to the job after accepting the original bid. I had them add a railing, do additional floor leveling, and replace all of the moldings in the house. The pricing on the add-on jobs was beyond fair. The fact that David's Flooring is able to handle additions to the job turned out to be a huge benefit. You don't know what you are going to need until you start and knowing you will get great service and price start to finish is important. The work started and completed on time and on schedule. The installers that worked for David were all awesome. We gave them the keys to our house we felt so comfortable with them. Alex led the team that did our floors, and he made sure everything was done to perfection. He listened to our ideas on the herringbone floors and gave us different options to ensure once the floor was glued in, we would love it. This allowed us to adjust to plan and we were happier with the end product as a result. Vlad did our stairs and railings. They came out perfect. Every detail was flawless. Even the paint on the stringers was perfect. One of the reasons we went with David's flooring was that he offered to let us meet with his installer for the railing and decide what we wanted, and we got exactly as promised. David and Vlad worked together to give us a very custom railing. It could not have been more perfect. The one room we didn't do was the downstairs floor. We were going to cut some corners and do tile but after our experience with David's Flooring we'll be having them do the downstairs as well. One final note, I love the product we used. We used Mirage flooring. It's engineered hardwood with a very thick top layer to support sanding if needed. minimal seams once it went together and they offer flooring designed to install in a herringbone pattern. These guys were seriously amazing. We had problems with some leakage into our subflooring from a hose behind our fridge. We'd called a couple of companies, one of which came out and the owner said he'd send us a quote later that day. Never heard from him....hmmmm. The other company told us they didn't deal with subflooring. David's Flooring was responsive and reliable. They scheduled our work within ten days, and gave us a three day window to get it done. Ok, so I'm so excited about my new floors! I had my 2000 sq ft home done- all the carpets replaced with Nature Tek laminate flooring, 12mm thick- the good stuff! As soon as I contacted David's Floorjng for a quote, Erik, one of the project managers reached out for more details. From talking through different materials that would be good for our lifestyle (active, dog, lots of walking around with bike shoes) all the way to updating quotes extremely quickly, the estimation process was super clear and helped me make decisions. When the job actually started I was pretty impressed with how punctual and swift the installation team was. They arrived at 9am and started setting up. I was living in an Airbnb at the time so Erik walked me through some small decisions (ie do you want us to treat the pet urine smell from the previous owners dogs) over the phone. Within day 1, all the carpet was ripped out and they were using mortar to level two of the rooms that were a little slanted. Day 2, half the rooms were done! Day 3, the rest of the rooms! This project included a kitchen remodel, 2 bathrooms, and a basement bedroom conversion, all on a tight deadline and budget. Also the home itself was original and had many issues they had to work around as well. The suggestions and finishes done by this team are all of high quality (MSI quartz counters, MSI tiles, solid wood floating vanities in bathrooms, etc) and all at a reasonable price. Vitaliy understood our vision for the project and exceeded our expectations. We especially love the solid glass sliding shower door in the bathroom. We also learned a lot from Vitaliy and his input for making more cost effective decisions really made an impact on the end result. One example was his suggestion for using the same quartz counters from the kitchen in the bathrooms and using new vanities instead of going with pre assembled vanities from the big stores like we originally thought we had to do because of the budget and time constraints. The end result is of much higher quality and really made a huge difference, but the total price was comparable to using lower quality pre assembled vanities. For the flooring, they even leveled out the previously uneven floors in order to make the LVT flooring feel really solid. The carpet in the basement bedroom is also of really high quality and totally transformed the space. Also the team stands behind their work and has warranties for their work, which provides peace of mind. I would love to go with the team for another project and anything else needed in the home or future homes, and I highly recommend them for all the projects they completed. read more

We're extremely impressed with David's Flooring of Seattle! We got several quotes, but it was surprisingly difficult to find companies that did both carpet and hardwood/luxury vinyl flooring. David's company did both, and his pricing was excellent compared to some of the other options we looked at. I read the online reviews and also asked for referrals; all three people who I emailed gave David's company glowing reviews, so we hired them. The job was big - really big! We weren't really prepared for how much work and chaos it would be to replace all the flooring of a three-floor house other than the bathrooms. With a job that big, so much can go wrong, and life can be utterly disrupted if the installers are thoughtless or careless. David's crew was absolutely fantastic! They were thoughtful, cleaned up after themselves incredibly well, were flexible in terms of working with us to do certain areas after we'd have the night before to move things around, etc. They truly made it as easy as possible, though don't let anyone tell you you're not turning your life upside down for weeks/months if you do an entire house (imagine moving out and moving back in). The quality of the materials and attention to detail on the installation were fantastic - the installation in particular involved them banging down every inch to secure it and fix any squeaks. Our floor now is solid and even better than it was when built 10 years ago. There were a few touch-ups needed here and there, but David's crew was excellent about making sure we were happy, and when we found a few minor issues after the job was done, David sent his guys back to address the issues. So let me start by saying that my wife and I decided to get our floors done. We had some damage to our subfloor due to a leak from the refrigerator line. We called David's Flooring of Seattle and he answered immediately. I requested an appointment for an estimate and sent him my information over a text. He got back to me quickly and had an appointment for me a couple of days later for my quote. He came and looked at everything and made some great suggestions. My wife and I met at his office later that day and picked out the correct flooring we wanted. We decided to do the whole downstairs which is close to 1000 square feet. He gave us a great estimate price and we set the appointment for 3/16/22. Yesterday I came downstairs early and noticed his crew just pulled up. I was very happy they were early. I waved them to come in and after a brief introduction and handshake from each of them, they went right to work. I was just amazed at how fast this crew got all of my old flooring out of the house and even better, they were cleaning as they removed the old stuff. They added new plywood to the floor and sealed around the areas where water could leak. At 1030 am I had to make my way to work. My wife remained home and at 430 called me and told me the crew was already done. I was floored (Cheesy Pun), The guys are absolutely amazing, they finished the job ahead of schedule and did not cut any corners. My floors look amazing. I initially hired David's team to install new carpet at my house I was about to sell. I was pleased with them so asked them to bid the floors on my new home which needed a serious facelift. When they came out to quote the floors, they let me know they are also a full remodeling company and would like to give a quote for the full remodel. My new home needed new floors, trim, interior doors, bathroom counters, wall removal, electrical, etc. Their quote was competitive so I decided to go with Davids Flooring for the entire remodel and I'm so glad I did. David, Vitaliy and the entire team were great. When there was an issue with the floors not being level (old house,) they problem solved until they were able to come up with a good solution and did not price gouge with extra costs. You hear so many nightmares about contractors but my experience with Davids remodeling was nothing but pleasant. Unfortunately as a single woman, people will sometimes be condescending or try to take advantage of you or but that was never the case. The team was always professional, respectful and responsive. Yes to David's Flooring! I got an estimate from 4 other places before settling with David's Flooring of Seattle! They were quickest to respond and I never felt like I was being upsell or had to make a decision immediately. My project was to remove the carpet from my living room and dining room and replace with laminate flooring. The trick was that my kitchen and hallway is not carpeted so we were trying to get a close match but it didn't have to be an exact match. David's Flooring made it really easy because I emailed him pictures of the areas I wanted to work on and the areas that already had LVP flooring and he brought the largest selection of options for me to look through compared to the other vendors. A couple days before the scheduled date for the project to begin, I had to reach out to confirm the timing of when his team was coming. My only feedback for their improvement would be for them to initiate this. Otherwise, the time window of when his team was coming was pretty on time (9-9:30am) - not like your Comcast quoted window of 9-5 pm and then they show up in the last hour. The team was nice, didn't talk much, lots of smiling and heads down focused on the task at hand! Very helpful, was easy to get in contact with and very prompt. This is a business owner who means to do what he says and he doesn't put it off. However, even though I gave him 5 stars, I could not afford to use him for a tiny job that would probably take him less than 45 minutes to complete. I don't think doctors even charge that much an hour. I'll be doing this one myself. read more

Had linoleum damage in my bathroom floor and David's Flooring did a great job in replacing the old flooring with a new vinyl flooring and it came out great! Kris was easy to work with and very responsive. Highly suggest. read more
