Groutsmith recently cleaned and sealed the grout in our kitchen, laundry, and mud room, cleaned the tile there, cleaned and sealed the marble and grout in the guest bathroom, cleaned and sealed the grout in the master bathroom, and regrouted both showers! We could not be happier with our service. I found out about Groutsmith from my realtor, and I am so glad I was pointed their way. It was very easy to set up an initial consultation, and Kurtis, the owner, came out himself to demo, get the lay of the land for the project, and answer ALL of my questions. He is crazy friendly and seriously knows his stuff. In working with Kendra to schedule everything, at first we were told the first available appointment would be 2 months out. We had been hoping to get the service done before we moved in, but also thought that them being so booked was a good sign. Kendra asked if we wanted to be back ups in case another job had to get pushed and we said absolutely... we are so glad she did that, because literally the very next week their whole crew was able to come out and do the whole job from 8 - 130. Their entire team was prompt (even early!) and extremely friendly. Their initial representative was Rene, and he was a crack up! He has an eye for design and is seriously talented and fast with his work. Several others showed up including the owner again, and they even were training someone on one of their first jobs, but you could tell Kurtis and the more seasoned hires were going out of their way to ensure the work was consistently excellent throughout... I think they nailed it! Kendra was very prompt and helpful in responding to my initial inquiries as well as throughout the entire process. After several quotes from different grout companies we went with the Groutsmith. We had our kitchen back splash and two bathrooms done. Groutsmith accommodate our schedules for our convenience. They did our kitchen and upstairs bathroom which looks brand new. James and his crew are absolutely professionals and advised us on the drying time period of the upstairs bathroom, along with tips to help keep the grout looking new when cleaning. Our neighbor recommended Groutsmith to seal our tile - what my wife and I really were after was grout cleaning. We had tried a time or two, but scrubbing with a toothbrush and baking soda for a few hours was a HUGE pain. So we finally called and the owner came out to evaluate our needs and provide an in-home demo (cleaned a tile and it's surrounding grout lines). It looked amazing. They were pretty booked out for appointments - but only a few weeks wait wasn't too bad especially when you see the finished product! James (the technician that did the work) is obviously very passionate about customer service and job excellence... He worked quickly, was mentoring a newer employee at the same time and remained very calm and collected when one of their machines malfunctioned about 3/4 of the way through the project. He took everything in stride and even took time to educate us on a couple of maintenance pointers and cause / effect things without us being bored or feeling lectured. They cleaned about 800 sq feet of tile, repaired a cracked grout line in our walk-in shower - cleaned and sealed the shower. All in 5 or 6 hours total! The owner followed up a couple days later to drop off some additional sealant for our shower since the new grout had to cure (and he seemed very pleased with his crew's work, rightfully so). We felt very at ease welcoming their team in our home - good Christian business owner who goes out of his way to ensure you have clear expectations about the project. Ours wasn't horrible grime or anything - just dingy looking with stains in the grout. It looks better than brand new now -- and the sealant carries a 10 year warranty. We've since recommended to several friends and family in the Frisco area. I believe they service down in Dallas and over towards Ft Worth for just about anything "tile related" -- tile repair, grout repair, grout cleaning, grout sealing, tile sealing, shower caulking, re-grouting, etc. Should any of those projects be on your radar, I'll strongly encourage you to leave the work to these pros and stick to your day job! read more

We bought our house 2 years ago and it was built in 1999 and the tile and grout that was dirty and or had cleaner build up from over the years. Groutsmith made our floor look like brand new within a day and it makes a huge difference. They told me it would resist future stains and to clean with water or PH neutral cleaner. Exceptional :) I moved into a new home and had the living room floor and bathrooms done. The sealant that they use has color in it so you pick what you like or can have it color matched. The sealant is amazing - when the grout gets wet it almost wicks off so my floors and bathrooms always look clean - It's been a life saver! The manager came out himself a few times to color match and make sure the job was done correctly. The technicians were very detailed and did a really good job. Great experience with Groutsmith. The grout and caulk needed to be replaced in our master shower and Curtis came out quickly to assess what needed to be done and provide an estimate. Once scheduled, James and Brandon arrived to clean out the old material and Curtis and Brandon came out three days later to apply the new grout/caulk. I paid considerable amount of money to remove mold from two showers last year. The service came with one full year warranty. I noticed little mold is coming back. I contacted the Groutsmith Company on July 22nd 2019 to come back and address it under warranty. I received an email response that the business is under new owner and refuses to honor any previous warranties. Be aware of the deceiving practice by the new owner. Please avoid this company. While their customer service is actually quite responsive, their actual business practices are downright shady. We had them come out and give us an estimate to repair a crack in the tile along the wall of our shower, and refill some grout along that sidewall. The person who came out (the owner) looked at it and told us no problem, we can fix it, and told us it would be $800. Fine. The guy who came out to fix the crack along the wall proceeded to cut out pieces of grout on the FLOOR of the shower (which we had just completely redone last year), purportedly because he needed to make sure everything was dry underneath before they could fix the crack on the wall. 6 weeks later, after having two fans blowing 24/7 plus several tubs of Damp Rid soaking up moisture, the same guy came out and said that they couldn't do the work because it was still damp under the floor. We asked him whether they would just abandon the project and leave us with the half dozen holes they'd dig into our shower floor; he assured us, "No, we would never do that." Today, he did just that. No one ever told us when they cut the grout that there was a possibility that they would simply abandon the project and leave us worse off than when we started. Oh, and we got to pay $200 for the privilege of going through this nightmare. Zero stars is what they deserve. Owner refused to take or return our calls. Avoid at all costs. read more

Just a few weeks ago we brought in Groutsmith of Dallas to renovate our dingy looking tile floors. We have tried just about everything to make them look good but nothing worked as well as we were hoping. That is until Groutsmith of Dallas came in. The Groutsmith operators arrived right on time and worked diligently on our tile which makes up almost 1/3 of our home. I was about to seal my own grout when I decided on a whim to get a quote instead, and I am so thankful I did. Everyone at Groutsmith was incredibly nice and knowledgable. They took time to explain everything to me and were spot on with their color choices. They were able to take my kitchen and bathroom's shockingly white grout and turn it into the perfect color that actually matches my tile. These guys are professional! They do an excellent job cleaning and have great customer service! We've used them TWICE and couldn't be more pleased. They keep their equipment from damaging your house and they do the job efficiently and are reasonable with the price. I don't know what else you could ask for! We had them restain and seal our backsplash in the kitchen recently and they did a fantastic job. I noticed the outer edges were not complete so I called them back to have them fix them. They came back and informed me it was not grout but caulk, which was not part of the job. However, they still fixed it and made it look clean and sparkling white!! Making an appointment was easy, very punctual for the estimate, thorough in going through everything with me to prepare in advance of the work. Every piece of tile was cleaned and every grout line was colored with the perfect color for my tile. I can honestly say it looks better than new because the new grout coloring is a better match for my tiles than the original grout color. Bottom line: I hated how awful my tile and particularly my grout looked "before". It made my stomach hurt .. to drive the point home, like a dirty carpet would make you feel. Now, it is like it is all new again. Service was great all the way around. James did the actual restoration work so I want to give him three thumbs up. He called ahead like I asked for, he is very articulate and he did not miss a single inch (closets and fireplace surround included). I would do it again in a heartbeat. read more

John was available to come out the same week we called and provided a quote within one day. We also provided a quote that was $500 less then another company we shopped. Same day response and estimate after my initial inquiry. Then very flexible scheduling follow-up visits to do the actual work. They were not the cheapest... However the detailed project scope was for more and better work than others offered. They were direct and honest about what they could and couldn't do, and best (i.e. multi-day) process to ensure best results. Look no further; this company is the best for grout work. Kendra, the scheduler, was able to work us in quickly. She was very courteous on the phone and kept me updated with the reminder of the appointment, as well as the times and instructions. John came out first, he gave me the estimate, did a test spot on the tile floor, and reviewed what I wanted 3 times just to triple-check that we were both on the same page. He explained what all the products were for and how they worked, why their company recommended the products they used, and answered all my questions. James, the technician, was amazing! he actually told me he couldn't do my master bathroom because there was some water damage behind the shower tile; rest assured, they actually can fix the damage, but if there is floor work that needs to be done (as is my case), they are not certified in plumbing, so they don't proceed. James did lay down caulk in my guest bathroom and sealed the tile and grout; it looks amazing and I am confident he did a great job that will last. The builder of my brand new Townhome Development thought it was a good idea to put the caulking BEFORE the grout in my brand new shower tub tile?! 8 months later, I saw a cracks along the 90 degree angles and in lieu of going back to this builder, I went to Yelp to research the best grout fixers. I selected Groutsmith DFW because they had many 5-star reviews. I send an email to Groutsmith at 8:00am on a Monday morning seeking a same day apt for a quote. I received a response immediately from Kendra! Although they were completely booked, she booked me the first available evening time, so I don't have to take off from work. To my surprise, Kendra called me 2 hrs later and advised that they could squeeze me in on the same day that I called her! Kurtis came to my house and explained the entire process to me. The quote was very reasonable and I agreed to give Groutsmith the job. James arrived on time to do the job and he explained everything to me too. There was ZERO mess and the job was done perfectly to my satisfaction. My shower tub looks beautiful and I know I made the right decision to use this company in lieu of the Builder. read more

Set up a quote from Grout Smith. Curtis showed up He looked at my shower that needed to have the corner grout redone and fix some cracks in the grout. He suggested a sealer and actually took some water and put it on the grout to show me how it soaks in since the shower was dry and I had not used it that day. The entire estimate took about 15-20 minutes. Curtis told me do not use the shower for at least 24 hours before they come or they cant do the work and will have to come back if its wet and they charge a trip fee of $100. We decided to use them and set up an appointment for them to do the work. Kendra contacted me and set up the appointment. They charge an upfront fee of $100 which was no problem. When the tech showed up to do the work, within two minutes he stated we had a problem. There was water leaking behind the tiles due to the cracks in the grout. He found this by just feeling around the grout lines in the corners of the shower. He stated that we would have to cut out some of the grout and let it dry for 3 weeks or so before they could complete the job. He also then told me that it would be an extra $100 trip fee since they had to come back. I explained that I didn't believe that the trip fee was right since Curtis should have seen that the first time out, but he was just the tech. I would take it up with Kendra. I allowed them to do the job despite this because I was already into them for some money and had been waiting several weeks to get the job started. I spoke with Kendra and explained I didn't feel they should be charging me another trip fee especially a $100 and that Curtis should have been able to determine the problem when out the 1st time. She stated she would see if she could do anything but that was the policy. They did not back off the trip fee. Work was ok, but I would use one of the many other providers in the future that do the same work. Recommend looking elsewhere. read more
