I looked on Yelp for a cleaning company, and the 1st thing that drew me to this one was the owner's reasonable and fair replies to customers' reviews. It showed integrity and character. These are also qualities that usually translate down to employees. Pricing also seemed fair. I thus decided to give them a shot. The two ladies who came were very professional, mature, and polite. I worked on things at home while they cleaned, and they never stopped moving. As promised, they wiped down baseboards and even door trims. They made the bed better than I ever could, and the bathtubs were nice & bright again after they were done. When I asked if they could focus on a certain area, they did so without a complaint. The cleaners do not utilize state-of-the-art cleaning equipment; instead, they arrived with a mop (a photo of which was taken) and a vacuum that appeared to have suctioning issues. I had 5 trees that needed trimming to different degrees, from light branch removal to major reshaping. The cost estimate was higher than some of the other companies I looked at, but I ended up going with RCJ based on their review history...I've gone the cheap route in the past and gotten pretty bad hack jobs, so wanted to make sure these were done right. Communication was fantastic, from getting the initial estimate through service completion. The crew was also right on time and talked with me a couple times during the trimming process to make sure I was happy with the amount they were removing and how the tree shaping was progressing. Even with a decent-sized crew, they took their time (almost 3 hours) with trimming and clean up to make sure everything was perfect before they left. I was at home working with my two dogs and they asked me where I wanted them to start. They started in my room (the furthest away from where I was working) and cleaned practically the whole house before I voluntarily relocated to my room so they could finish undisturbed. So many pluses. I was able to book online with my preferences and rec'd a day/date I wanted, a few days before the family comes for Thanksgiving. I've never seen 2 people clean so thoroughly, esp compared to the last service I used. I never thought I would be one to use a house cleaning service for our little apartment, but after a year of living in our new place, there was definitely some neglect. I used the trusty Yelp to look up places for quotes and this was the company we chose. When I called to get a quote the owner text me back and we conducted the entire transaction via text. From the quote, to scheduling, to getting the crew to our apartment. My BF was home to let the crew in. We were quoted $190 for three ladies for three hours. That included cleaning the four glass doors to our patio. They did a fantastic job. They did miss some spiderwebs in the bedroom that unfortunately my BF didn't notice, but I did when I got home from work. I text the owner and he sent a girl out that night to clean that area again, which was great! The only thing I would have done differently is ask for a checklist of what is to be cleaned. I would have thought the outside doors of the cabinets would have been cleaned, but I was pleasantly surprised that the inside of the fridge and toaster oven was cleaned! So it was a win-win. They also straightened up the bedding on the bed, rolled our towels like burritos and gave it that hotel clean feel that I have not been able to duplicate. I called two days prior to when I needed move out clean. RCJ had the best availability out of the other companies I called as well as the price. Super affordable and exactly what I was looking for. I love that they have an hourly rate, and it's even cheaper if you do cash pay. The minimum is two hours, but my move out clean was completed within the timeframe. Christina was awesome. She did a great job. She was friendly, thorough, and attentive. I also appreciated the walk through she did with me before and after the cleaning. The before cleaning walk through was nice because we were able to communicate what the priority areas were. At the end of the cleaning, Christina even took her shoes off after she vacuumed the entire place. She gave me some practical tips for the move out as well (pointed out some hole that could be patched, etc.). Overall a great experience. I would definitely recommend and use RCJ again!
