I went to get my Real ID, had all my paperwork, the lady was yelling at me to take everything out of the envelope, that I was holding up the line. Then, she started looking at everything, rolling her eyes, asked me why my name was not on my marriage license the way it was on my birth certificate? Ugh, I wasn't married when I was born. She then yelled at me to get my name fixed or they wouldn't help me. I literally was appalled that I had to call vital records, and pay money to fix my name, when they were like, but that wasn't your name. I explained that the employees at the BMV were not going to give me my Real ID until I got it fixed. She actually fixed it for me after spending all that money, and I took my paperwork back, and the same girl said she wasn't going to fix itt because, why is my name the same as my birth certificate and my marriage license?? Ugh, because you told me to do that! She ended up saying I am not going to help you. I had to fly to my home state and fix it there in order to get my Real ID. TIME IS RUNNING OUT! You need to get the real ID to fly. These employees are a joke! I would be embarrassed to say I work there. I remember one of their names, Nicki, the others, I do not remember, and dont care to.

This location, while not in the best area, has always been an easy experience for me. I generally come in the early afternoon. This way, you can beat the late afternoon rush, before they close. I've never had to wait very long and the staff has always been friendly. Pro tip - Smile, ask how the person helping you is doing that day, and have all your paperwork! They don't exactly get to have the best interactions with their customers and being nice and prepared can go a long way! I usually head here for issues with my car title. I've had to get a new one issued and once, an out of state title switched to Ohio, blah, blah, blah. If you need a new license, plates, or anything, you can walk or drive two seconds through the shopping complex and get what you need at the license agency. It's a little confusing but they offer different services and sometimes a trip to both is in order. That's why I head to this area, because you can hit up both if need be.

Now I don't know if the rules changed or I happened to get ahold of a very helpful employee by the name of Tyler. He walked me right through what was needed including attaching a legal description of my property so that I can finally get my current name on the auditor's website. Tyler was also very prompt in answering my questions. I really appreciate it. And for those of us who are lucky enough to have at last paid off the house, your taxes can be withdrawn monthly from your bank account. That is a lot easier than getting the big bill at the same time your Christmas bills come in. And they pay you interest even though interest these days does not amount to much. The main thing is that your tax bill is paid and you don't have to worry about anything except making sure you have sufficient funds in the bank for MONTHLY taxes. They make it so easy to budget.

It turned out our pet store was no longer handling the acquisition/renewal of dog licenses. They told me that another nearby pet store was probably still doing it, but I called them, and they were out of tags. So, there I was, on the last day before license fees doubled (which was completely my fault) headed downtown to fill out a bunch of paperwork. I have never been crazy about the process of licensing. However, having to go downtown, find a parking space and so forth somehow seemed less preferable than going less than a mile to fill out the paper. However, it turned out the process WAS actually pretty painless. Actually, it was quite convenient, because everything's computerized... and, of course, sorted by owner names. So the person helping me had all the dogs called up, old ID's, numbers and everything. What's more... just before making this trip, I discovered (in the process of gathering our dogs rabies numbers) that one of our dogs' rabies vaccination had expired. So I had already made an appointment for the shot for the next day, and told the clerk I would be coming back and registering the last dog tomorrow. She said I could just call in the new number the next day, so I wouldn't have to make the trip and pay double for the one dog. So, I took R.C. to the vet, got the shot, called in the new rabies number... bang. All set. All-in-all, I was in and out within 20 minutes, and I spent most THAT time walking in the County building or in the elevator (they only take cash or check, so I had to ride down five floors to the nearest ATM). So, yeah, this experience actually turned out great.

We are trying to retrieve some unclaimed money from my dad who passed away. Ohio is requesting her social security number to be on the death certificate. Why would they not have the fact that a persons social security number doesn't get put on a certificate for 5 years? and why wouldn't it be on there in the first place? They aren't coming back to life. Then when I tried to get this done the agent hung up on me because I told her the county I am in wants me to pay for another certificate to get this done and I wanted a refund that I shouldn't have to pay for it twice. What is wrong with this picture?
