Location; right up road to Riverbend music venue and was in town for a concert. Super cute place, right off the river. ALTHOUGH, when we went in for our reservations we were seated, in the back of the restaurant it was warm, like really warm. Come to find out that the AC was out, and appeared we were seated in the warmed part. Thankfully the table next to us left, and the server moved the box fans our way. Food; We started with the Brussel sprouts, and they were really good season and cooked to perfect. We did share the Chicken salad croissant, which I didn't asked which is my fault it is NOT all white meat chicken I did try it, and sadly I stopped eating it as not only was it mixed with white/dark meat the actual chicken salad was warm. I did ask the server if it the Chicken Salad is served warm typically, and she replied "no?", so I was a bit taken back and apparently the Kitchen AC was out too :(. The positive, we also shared The Figgy flat bread was very good, I would not have been mad if it had a bit more bacon. Bar; I ordered a Dirty Martini and it was one of the best I have had, the bar service was great. Service; Our server was so sweet, and friendly and HONEST. I was a bit disappointed in the couple things, but the service and cocktails I want to go back and try again with the AC is working. TIP if AC is broken, make sure to seat everyone is the coolest part first. read more

Wanted to end our trip with a really nice meal and FIL suggested here since it's really nice. He enjoys some of their specialty cocktails so of course we wanted to try one while we were here. Strong flavor, but good. Service was great, very friendly people. I went with the snapper, which was so delicious I ate every bite. I actually liked that it wasn't so much food so I could eat it all. Just because I didn't have leftovers didn't mean I didn't want to take food home. Had to get a dessert to go because it sounded so good (and it was). This is clearly a really nice place to go for a meal, very upscale. It was the perfect meal to end our trip with. read more

Located on Kellogg Ave about a mile east of 275. This restaurant offers a refreshing take on what delicious food should be. Most everything is house made. We had the Wild Berry Salad. ( less the spinach), Yes, You CAN have it your way. The salad with Fresh romaine baby arugula, Strawberries, Blackberries, & Blueberries, Bacon, Blu cheese crumples, and large pecan pieces and a honey poppyseed dressing was fantastic. I had the Breaded walleye and Chips. Fresh Walleye, 8 oz portion. hand breaded and Fresh Cut Fries, with a decent portion of Cole Slaw. The walleye was perfectly cooked making my new favorite. Service was top notch. Quickly seated and waited on. The waitress made suggestions which we followed and had a very enjoyable meal. The place was still bustling at 730 and it can be a bit on the noisy side. but it isn't overwhelming They have a bar area and a the few TVs. We sat at the tables and enjoyed our meal. read more

Have been here at least 4 times- lunch and dinner. Each time the food has been excellent-fish, vegetables and fries cooked to perfection! Service was again spot on from hostess to waitress to food deliverers. There is a very good variety of seating from the bar to booths, tables to accommodate any amount of diners. Excellent food and good service. I took my two adult daughters there before a concert at Riverbend. Servers were friendly but it was very busy (Friday night) and they were spread a little thin. Took a while to get drinks, and I would have had a second one were that not the case. Everyone was working hard and hustling! Seemed to be well-managed. Restaurant was on the warm side, which doesn't bother me personally because I'm usually cold in AC, but it did make me feel bad for the staff! We had three very different entrees that we all thoroughly enjoyed. Overall I was impressed and would go back if I'm ever down that way again. read more

First... server was so nice BUT ... Tried to eat at Grove Park Grille .....Ordered appetizer and waited and waited and waited. Finally the server said the kitchen was having an issue..... no gas.... Might be 10 minutes. About 20 minutes later we're told by server that could only order flatbreads soup and salads. Debated whether to stay. We did order a flatbread, and cup of loaded potato soup. Should have left! Soup was not hot and the flatbread was cold and didn't have much in the way of toppings. It was terrible and for $12.95 ! Should have cost $1.00! Felt sorry for the nice server. The manager never spoke to any patrons nor offered any compensation for the fiasco. Too bad... his lack of attention and how he handled the situation.... Grove Park Grille is a restaurant that is away from a lot but a very good find for food! It's right by the park and they have a beautiful outdoor area. Inside the decor is formal but there isn't a dress code. They have burgers, salads, sandwiches, and a plethora of desserts to choose from. For lunch, I got the chicken salad sandwich with garlic broccoli which was very good. The sandwich was filling and as someone who doesn't like broccoli, this was a game changer. The garlic herb spread they used on the broccoli made me want to eat more! The food came in about 15 minutes as my partner ordered only a burger which he liked with all the toppings on it. We didn't have to wait long for the bill and the waiter was able to get us water multiple times in our hour of sitting for lunch. Great place for a date night to come out and eat. read more

The grapes and pecans that were suppose to be a part of salad seemed to be missing or ground up so finely that I couldn't tell. After one of my son's many soccer games, my family and I stopped in for lunch at Grove Park Grille. They are located on Kellogg Road east of Coney Island just before Kellogg runs into US-52. Tables are available inside and out, with plenty of space for even the largest groups. My family of four was seated right away in a booth, which was perfect for us. We started with the crispy Brussels sprouts with shaved Parmesan and Sriracha aioli on the side ($8.95). The Brussels were wonderfully fried and I really liked the sauce. We were off to a great start! For lunch, I had Coleman's Farm chicken salad, which is a bed of grilled romaine hearts, cherry tomatoes, and roasted sweet corn topped with a chicken salad of braised organic chicken and candied pecans ($13.95). Wow, this was excellent! And the serving was very large. I had plenty to take home for the next day. This dish is highly recommended. My wife had the California flatbread with roasted garlic, olive oil, goat cheese, spinach, artichoke hearts, tomato, and avocado ($11.95). All of the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Another solid dish, but I much preferred the salad. Our kids enjoyed grilled cheese and curly pasta (both $5 with a beverage and side). read more

Great place to eat when going to Riverbend for a concert!! Our waitress, Emma, was the best. She was attentive and checked in regularly, even though the restaurant was getting crowded.
