Wanted to end our trip with a really nice meal and FIL suggested here since it's really nice. He enjoys some of their specialty cocktails so of course we wanted to try one while we were here. Strong flavor, but good. Service was great, very friendly people. I went with the snapper, which was so delicious I ate every bite. I actually liked that it wasn't so much food so I could eat it all. Just because I didn't have leftovers didn't mean I didn't want to take food home. Had to get a dessert to go because it sounded so good (and it was). This is clearly a really nice place to go for a meal, very upscale. It was the perfect meal to end our trip with.

Located on Kellogg Ave about a mile east of 275. This restaurant offers a refreshing take on what delicious food should be. Most everything is house made. We had the Wild Berry Salad. ( less the spinach), Yes, You CAN have it your way. The salad with Fresh romaine baby arugula, Strawberries, Blackberries, & Blueberries, Bacon, Blu cheese crumples, and large pecan pieces and a honey poppyseed dressing was fantastic. I had the Breaded walleye and Chips. Fresh Walleye, 8 oz portion. hand breaded and Fresh Cut Fries, with a decent portion of Cole Slaw. The walleye was perfectly cooked making my new favorite. Service was top notch. Quickly seated and waited on. The waitress made suggestions which we followed and had a very enjoyable meal. The place was still bustling at 730 and it can be a bit on the noisy side. but it isn't overwhelming They have a bar area and a the few TVs. We sat at the tables and enjoyed our meal.

We had a reservation for 6pm and walked in and got right to our table, with drinks shortly following. I ordered their espresso martini, which was very solid. For an appetizer I ordered their soup of the day (clam chowder) and entree was the orange roughy in a lemon cream sauce, with wild rice and broccoli on the side (and my wife got the prime rib - WOW!). Both were EXCELLENT - wish the portion sizes were bigger honestly on mine! For dessert we all split the lemon mascarpone cake and cheesecakes, which were devoured. Then, because it was one of those rare warmer nights in February, we went outside and sat in front of the fireplace and drank a bottle of wine and hung out for an hour or two. Our server and the manager were absolutely awesome and hit all the high points. Definitely a great experience all around. Only SLIGHT downside was the parking lot around back, which was totally full, but can't really fault Green Line for that. We found street parking not far away. Five stars for Green Line - 100% will be back!

They had just had a storm roll through and were experiencing a bunch of power outage problems, and the staff were able to pivot well around this issue. Which for me wasn't really an issue, because I like sitting in a darkened room anyways and I thought that was just the ambiance they were going for. I kicked off with a Buffalo trace martini and whooooo was it good and definitely a martini to be sipped and enjoyed. I followed that then with their shrimp cocktail special that I was not prepared for it to come in an actual cocktail glass and they officially have made the most gorgeous shrimp cocktail I have ever ordered. My server was super awesome and she suggested I also get their bread basket because she's heard great things about the truffle butter and sweet butter that come with it and let me tell you all something. The truffle butter was good, but the sweet cream butter I would gladly eat on everything the rest of my life, it was that incredible. For my main course I ordered the prime rib that they're known for and while I liked it, I wish I'd asked for it to have been cooked a little more than medium well, but that's just my personal preference and I knew I should have gone with what I normally do. The sides were fantastic and paired well with it, and I also got a side of their vegetable risotto which I ate for breakfast the next day without shame. I then finished the meal off with the delectable lemon cake you see pictured here and it was so smooth and delish. I basically had to roll out. I will be sure to visit again the next time I'm going to Louisville!

We were really looking forward to trying Baker's Table after everything we've heard. We had the 5…read morecourse Tasting Menu for $90. per person. we have had many tasting menus before and left feeling very disappointed with our experience. The portions for even a tasting menu were extremely small. My entee (salmon) came out not hot. Our server was not attentive (never once refilled our water glasses or asked if we enjoyed any of our dishes). Overall we were left with the question of: what is all the fuss about with this restaurant? We will not be back.

I first became aware of this place…read morewhen I started getting ads for the chef's sourdough book on social media--got the book for Christmas, and apparently talked about that enough that he decided I needed to experience the restaurant! What's striking about the restaurant itself is how quiet and calm it feels. With limited nightly seatings and every dinner table doing the tasting menu there's a sort of orchestrated flow that permeates the space. Not to say energy is low or it's so quiet you feel self-conscious talking; it's just that nothing about the experience feels rushed or accidental. As expected, the bread course was phenomenal as was all the food we enjoyed! We opted for the wine pairing along with dinner, which results in about 1.5 or 2 full glasses over the course of the meal. The sommelier did an excellent job introducing and explaining each wine, as well as why it was selected to pair with each course. All told, a lovely experience and one worth repeating--and not just because the menu changes every season.

Service wasn't the fastest, but everyone was friendly and welcoming. What really stood out for me was the vegan menu. I was genuinely excited to see solid options, and I'd absolutely go back just to work my way through more of them. I ordered the Vegan Chardonnay pizza -- bianca sauce, roasted garlic, roasted mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, vegan cheese, and rosemary. I'm usually not a white sauce person, but this one completely won me over. It was rich, flavorful, and balanced in a way that made every bite interesting without feeling heavy. The crust was also excellent -- that perfect mix of airy and crisp. Bonus: the leftovers reheated surprisingly well in a dry pan on the stove. The only downside was the garlic... and I mean seriously heavy. I smelled like garlic for a full 24 hours afterward, despite brushing, mouthwash, showering, and mints. Not subtle. Still, I'd order it again without hesitation. Worth it.

The best tip was that a Friday Happy Hour from 3-6 meant $6 Calzones INCLUDING "Make Your Own". They had quite a selection of sauces and ingredients. All 4 of us each picked our own and they were EXCELLENT. We also had "Cork Breadsticks" and Toasted Raviolis as appetizers. The raviolis were just a "tad" overdone but very good nonetheless. It's not a very big place and since it was pouring down rain we don't know how their outdoor setup is but as mentioned, make a reservation.
