When he returned, the crown was supposed to be covered by the initial payment, but--after already ripping him off--they charged him for the cement used to attach it. You wouldn't expect them to just leave the crown loose, right? In the end, they charged him far more money. As a father, I feel like I've been held up at gunpoint on the street. Don't throw your money away or let these unscrupulous people scam you. This business shouldn't be allowed to keep ripping off retirees or those of us who work so hard to earn a living. During that visit, they tried taking the bottom x-ray twice, the machine failed both times, and they told us it would be done at today's appointment along with treating his cavity. My son also had an infection in that tooth, and he took antibiotics for seven days exactly as instructed so he would be ready for this extraction today. We did everything they told us to do. Our appointment today was at 12:30 PM. We arrived at 12:29. As soon as we got there, they told us they would not do the x-ray anymore because "it was almost 1 PM" and it was "too late" to take one -- even though the appointment had just started and we were on time. They attempted to give my son local anesthesia, but he was clearly uncomfortable and in pain. Instead of taking the time to work with him, explain things, or offer alternatives, they simply gave up. In the end, nothing was done: no x-ray, no cavity treatment, no extraction -- absolutely nothing -- after a full week of antibiotics and preparation. The staff was unprofessional and rude, and they made no effort to resolve any of the problems they had caused. We left with the exact same issues we came in with, plus a very stressed and upset child. I do not recommend this office to anyone, especially parents with young children. The implant was so poorly done that food got stuck every single meal--it was unbearable. I complained multiple times, but they brushed me off with "That's normal for implants," which is nonsense. Another dentist later told me it was one of the worst implants they'd ever seen, packed with food debris even after brushing, and warned it could cause infections. They couldn't believe a dentist could mess up this badly. I had to get the implant fixed at another out-of-pocket, non-insurance dentist because Great Expressions ignored my complaints and kept avoiding my contacts. It gets worse. The ceramic crown she forced in--shoved so hard it hurt--started swelling and pain right after, and she made it even worse. Less than a year later, I went to a new dentist who said it needs extraction, and I got a second opinion that confirmed the same thing. Less than a year! Both the implant and the ceramic crown she did were the worst, and her work made everything worse. Recently, I found out through these new dentists that her terrible work in Florida on the ceramic crown has left me needing an extraction, and I'm still suffering because Great Expressions never took responsibility for her work. The staff at this clinic told me they'd refund me if I got a report from another dentist, so I paid out of pocket to get it and sent it to them multiple times, but the clinic kept avoiding all our calls and emails. We still haven't heard back from them to this day, so this isn't even over for me. Other dental workers from other clinics who know her also contacted this clinic because they'd heard how awful she was, but they were ignored too. On top of that, the staff at this clinic were always clueless about what they were supposed to do, often trying to do things differently from what was scheduled, and made way too many mistakes--far from professional. Also, I couldn't feel any professionalism in Rosmery Mendoza's attitude or work. Overall, I think this entire clinic severely lacks morals, professionalism, and responsibility. They ruined my teeth, took my money, and ran. This kind of behavior is an unforgivable act. This kind of attitude, treating patients with such disrespect, should never be allowed. This experience was so awful that I can't trust this clinic anymore--it's left me with real trauma. Avoid this place at all costs--it's a nightmare.
