Great food! Will definitely be back in the future. Food was great, and the price was a pleasant surprise.

It's a cute little location on the main strip with a cozy parking situation. The place is clean and organized and the staff very friendly. I tried the original and the dessert strawberry chocolate with a huckleberry tea. The pastry itself is sweet which is a little strange. The menu indicates hot for its original but it basically tastes like pot roast in a pastry. It was really good and the avocado based cilantro sauce was delicious. The dessert empanada had warm homemade chocolate pudding with sliced strawberries in it. It was interesting as a hot pie. The portion was happily single serving and the two made me feel satisfied which always makes me happy. The tea was definitely a sweet tea and the huckleberry was really good. These empanadas were incredible. The family who runs it are friendly and you can tell they care about their products. We went back two days in a row while in Fairbanks. Highly recommend all the empanadas and don't forget the cilantro crèma. Get there early. They seem to sell out each day. You can tell they are popular and they absolutely should be. I stopped in for lunch and was happily greeted as I walked in. The place is spotless! I stared at the display of empanadas sitting in a hot box just inside the door at the counter. There was Veggie, Cheeseburger, Original and Diablo (they were out of Pork). They also had a sweet or dessert empanada, Dulce de Leche with cream cheese. I picked the Diablo first as I was told it was an Original but Serrano chilis were added. It was then suggested I get a Cheeseburger and I chose a Veggie too. I got the combo which came with two cilantro dipping sauces snd a drink (I got the Coke in a bottle). My first bite was of the Veggie. It had a bit of a sweet taste to it but upon further eating, I think it was just the sweetness from the carrots. It was good, as was the Cheeseburger which was packed with ground beef, cheese and I think potato but my favorite was the Diablo. Sadly, it wasn't spicy - at all. I could detect no heat what-so-ever but it was still great with chunks of beef and veggies. The dipping sauce just made everything better! I could put that sauce on a shoe and eat it! I will definitely be back (I have to try the pork!) but hope the Diablo gets spicier or maybe a truly spicy sauce for dipping. read more

We stopped by on Friday, and it was our first time. BUT NOT THE LAST!!! 10/10. The employees were so friendly and helpful, and the empanadas were fantastic. We tried them all minus the Diablo. The food situation in Fairbanks is scarce but this has got to be in the top 3. Super nice, great empanadas, and very quick.
