The best pizza I've had in Saginaw. My favourite in the mid-Michigan area is Pizza Baker but this place is great if I don't want to make the drive. Makes me sad knowing all the times we've begrudgingly gone to Little Caesars right across the street when this was here the whole time. =_= I've tried a veggie pizza and margherita; the latter is especially surprisingly good. I love a real New York slice but I prefer Neapolitan style and this seems like a blend of the two. We haven't eaten at the restaurant yet due to the pandemic so takeaway has been my only experience here so far. read more

Ordered two cauliflower crust pizzas and a salad for take out tonight. Huge rip off. See photos for sizing. The pizzas are tiny (not unexpected for cauli crust) but at a $17 and $20 price point, what a joke. The antipasto salad was $14 but came to us in a tiny take out container. This barely fed us. Costed us $60 with tax, credit card processing fee, and a $5 tip we added at take out. What a rip off. We have eaten dine in at Gs before and had a positive experience. Quality control has fallen off here. We used to come religiously every weekend and get the Godfather pizza which is a regular menu item. The last 3 or 4 times we had gotten it they forget the roasted garlic cloves which is our favorite part of the pizza. How do you not know your menu items...one mistake is excusable, but multiple times on different occasions with a key topping? We stopped going for about 5 months due to these recent experiences but decided to go back the other day and had yet another disappointing experience. Ordered the specialty Hot Pesto Roni pizza - prior to arriving I had saw this online and thought it sounded good so we gave it a shot. We also ordered mozzarella spears to come out with the pizza. We get the pizza and there is no pizza sauce on it - completely dry and hard to swallow. I notify the waiter and he even looked baffled like "wow I've never seen that before" - He comes back and told us his manager said this pizza isn't supposed to have pizza sauce on it (so it's essentially just cheese bread with toppings?) I then pull up their menu on my phone and show him online that it says "pizza sauce" as included in the toppings. He then showed me on the restaurant menu at the table that the Pesto Roni does not list pizza sauce as a topping and says he will tell the manager to update the description online (it's still not changed). So we end up getting cold marinara sauce to dip our pizza in which left much to be desired. The mozzarella spears we ordered did not come out until probably 15-20 minutes after our pizza with was odd considering the place was pretty empty and they're just breadsticks with cheese..was only one oven running? Waiter was not very attentive to us either, was preoccupied with prep work most of the time. $75 for a pizza, mozzarella spears, boneless wings, and a kids Alfredo meal. I am extremely disappointed in the lack of communication and reliability at this establishment. I placed a $150 order for my 5-year-old son's school pizza party 2 days ahead of time. Due to a time zone difference when booking, the time was off by an hour. I immediately called the store to cancel the order, knowing that asking for it to be ready right at opening (11:00 AM) was a tall order and I wanted to find a place that could guarantee it. ​The staff member on the phone explicitly told me not to cancel. They assured me, "We can get this done for you at 11:00 AM, no problem at all, keep the order active." I trusted them. I confirmed with the teacher and promised my son the food was coming. ​When we arrived at 11:00 AM, the order hadn't even been started. The excuse? "Nobody on our side communicated the changes." Because they convinced me to keep the order rather than letting me go elsewhere, I was left with no food for a classroom of children and a devastated 5-year-old. They offered a refund and a gift card, but that does not fix a ruined core memory for a child or feed a hungry class. We will not be doing business here again. read more

I recently made a reservation for 2 of my sons birthdays. Told them 15-20 people. They put together a small table for cakes and presents as well. I was very impressed with the service. We decided to try G's Pizzeria tonight as something new. We tried the Bianca pizza and the limited edition Hot hot pepperoni pizza. At 6 slices per pizza, these were not worth the $23 price tag per pizza. The Bianca pizza barely had any flavor and was extremely dry. The Hot hot pepperoni pizza was basically inedible, as if someone screwed off the shaker cap on the red pepper flakes and dumped the whole thing on there. Initially, at $23 per pizza I was skeptical, but these pizzas disappointed in so many ways. Not worth it! read more

As a true pizza connoisseur, I have to go with 3 stars. Atmosphere: Very nice, large restaurant that would be great for watching sports all year long. There is ample seating in the bar area, as well as the main area with booths, high tables, and low tables. The server was nice, attentive, and made good suggestions. Food: Several people have suggested this restaurant but the pizza just didn't do it for me. I got the Sicilian Pizza, which is one of my favorite types of pizza, and I was pretty unimpressed. It's apparently one of the best sellers and I can't see how; there's just nothing special or great about it. It was kind of bland and the cheese was stringy in a "cold pizza" way though it was hot. I do like how they offer a 7in option so you can try a pizza without committing to a massive amount. Every time we go we leave happy and full. Wait staff is always excellent and food is always good. Never a wait time.

Horrible service.. our server clearly did not care for his job and we noticed this from the get go. I clearly stated my dietary restriction of no meat, twice, for my meal. And I was accidentally served bacon in my meal. The server was so dumbfounded. And then to be given a $5 coupon "for my troubles" was a slap in the face. No visit from a manager to apologize or anything. I have been a vegetarian my entire life and was left in tears in the middle of the restaurant. We stopped here on a Saturday night. This place was busy. There was a large party that was just starting to eat so needless to say there was not a backlog of food to be made. We were seated quickly and the food had little wait. The pizzas although only had 1 item each had a decent amount of toppings, sauce and cheese. Amazingly delicious pizza. Really impressed with the quality of toppings and cheese. The pizza sauce had such a clean, fresh flavor and adding a flavored crust (we got the Cajun and super spicy!) is a great touch. I also appreciated all the different sizes of pizza. I ordered the 7" and my friend got the 12". We ordered the classic bread sticks and those were buttery, Parmesan cheese classic. Best marinara sauce to date and the ranch is also very yummy. A mix between Jets ranch and Taormina's ranch. The place is really sticky though: floor, tables, menu. This company sends spam emails, probably resulting from not verifying customer-entered email addresses. I have received such emails in the past and have been assured they would remove my email from the system so I wouldn't be spammed again. Apparently, such efforts failed, because I'm still getting them. This company should use a system that verifies customer email addresses so people completely unrelated to the restaurant (I'm not even in the same state) don't get spammed. I'm attaching part of a screen shot of the email I received. I am not the person in the email. Apparently, the account has a different email. Following the various links in the email, I have the option to reset the password if the email is attached to an account. I tried doing that in the hopes I could lock out this activity, but I didn't get a reset email. This tells me, the email entered (probably by the customer) is not being validated. During this Coronavirus crisis, I ordered a take-out pizza to support this local (Michigan) business. They were running an excellent deal for a 14" 2-topping pizza for $10 and so I ordered a simple pepperoni and mushroom pizza with the garlic butter crust. I arrived a few minutes early and so I had to wait, which is alright since I know it would be from the oven to my car. When I arrived home about 5 minutes later and pulled a few slices out, they were somewhat soggy and the center did not appear to be cooked well however the pepperoni and mushrooms were dried out. The taste of the crust was pretty good, but the sauce was a little sweet for me. For this special price I may order from G's again and request the pizza to be cooked a little longer, however I do not think I would pay full menu price for the pizza I received. read more

Service: We were standing in the front for a bit before anyone noticed us and seated us. That was a little annoying considering the place really wasn't very busy. We have been to G's pizzas in other cities and had no issues with the food. We did the pizza buffet today as we did here 3 years ago. Then it was OK, this time we arrived, were seated and the waitress took our order. We went to the buffet table, and it had about 7 pizzas, most were half gone or more. I found a couple I liked, and we returned to our table. After about 15 minutes we were going to get more but could see it was the same pizzas that were up when we first went up. We waited and finally I went up to ask staff when they will put more pizzas out. They went to check, and we waited at our table for more than 10 minutes before more pizza was put out. For a pizza buffet they are not very attentive at taking care of the choices. We talked to our waitress about this, and she went to talk to the manager. I expected a manager to come out, but the waitress returned and said she told the manager but if we wanted the manager to come out, she could get them. We paid our bill and left. I guess if management doesn't care about customer satisfaction, we'll never return to this place. Maybe ordering off the menu is better. Yesterday was my 1st trip to the Saginaw location. I will say I was pretty disappointed. To start the 3 people at the front counter need to focus on people in the lobby waiting for takeout rather then what their plans are for the night. I was happy to find a non-chain pizza place in Saginaw for dining in! Gs has a large beer selection and a ton of apps and pizzas to choose from. We had their thin crust Sicilian and it was delicious. The crust was tasty, and it reminded me of a pizza I'd find in Chicago. On 3/23/21, we held our wedding reception at G's. Half the room was full of chairs stacked up on tables, no room for our first dance, cake, or gifts. It looked quite sloppy for a wedding party... Booked weeks in advance... Our server dropped off our food and NEVER CAME BACK. I bussed my own tables, yes, on my wedding day. We would have ordered many more drinks, food, and drinks! I wanted to do shots of Patron with my in-laws, but instead I never even got a refill of water. Anyways, any time I had to go find our server, she was at the bar, texting away on her phone. She was talking crap with the bartender, too, while I stood there, waiting to be served. It was my WEDDING DAY and I did not get waited on, but instead, waited on my whole family. After clearing the table, and serving dessert, and clearing the table again, I spoke with the rudest manager I've ever met in my life. She had 0 sympathy to offer, barely an apology, and many eye rolls. IT WAS MY WEDDING DAY, and I had to wait on my own family. We will never book another party here. The female manager did nothing but cause my mother to get even more upset, the owner offered 10% off of our bill. Of course, gratuity was included, but I did most of the work so my dad mentioned it should be split between the server and the bride. What a joke. We love G's and eat here probably twice a week, but we will never come back. They offered us excuses, saying they were understaffed, the health department was there, etc. If our server was SO busy, why was she on her phone at the bar? If the health department was there, why did a manager not approach us ahead of time and let us know service would be slow? One of the dishes was COMPLETELY wrong and they refused to take it off the bill. My wedding reception was a disaster. I would have rather cooked the food myself at my house and served it. I am an industry worker and this party was a joke. I'm embarrassed. I want to have another whole wedding reception and do it all over again by myself... If you were too understaffed to handle our party, you should have cancelled or communicated that to us. read more

I only gave it a 2 stars because my family enjoys their pizza, but their customer service was awful. I chose to order our dinner online, which automatically took me to YELP. I ordered my food, got the confirmation, and went to pick up our pizza. When I arrived, I was told that my order didn't go through, then the second person stated someone confirmed the order but didn't send it to the kitchen. So they put the order in, I wait another 30 minutes, go to get my pizza, and there are 2 orders. My original order was there all along, but the receipt was $13.00 less than what I paid online. Then I'm told that you have to pay extra when you order online. I'd say $13.00 is pretty expensive just to order online! There was no attempt to make it right, no discount, nothing.
